I reluctantly paid the $20 so I could help my friend, but man that was an absolute ripoff. Me and my friend used the machines and they were just okay, the grips were too fat where they were uncomfortable. The machines were also not 100% my type, but overall they were solid and can def be good for beginners. When me and my friend were using the chest press, a minimum wage worker that prob makes $15 an hour to spray the machines came up to us and said that we couldn't have our bag on the floor and we had to put the bag in a locker, which I thought was ridiculous. It seemed like the chubby Mexican guy made him go over to us like the message was coming from him. First the $20 guest pass ripoff and now you're going to complain about our bags being on the floor?!?! And now the rude staff is watching us?? Come on bro, sounds like a true "judgement free zone" lol. No critics?!?! More like no critics for the rude staff and ripoff prices. She does not use the gym or participate in any activities. She simply sits in a chair near the entrance and waits while our son is in his class. On one occasion, the manager approached my wife and told her to leave the gym. When I asked why, she said it was the gym's policy. I politely asked her to show me the policy, but she was unable to provide one. The situation then became very unprofessional. The manager was rude, disrespectful, and used inappropriate language. When I told her that I intended to report the incident, she responded by saying that she was the store manager and that no one could do anything to her. She then told us to "get the fuck out." When I said I would leave a review, she replied, "Do whatever you want. I don't care." This behavior is completely unacceptable from someone in a management position. I also felt that we were treated unfairly and believe discrimination may have played a role in how we were treated. I respectfully ask that this incident be investigated. Your customers deserve to be treated with respect, professionalism, and courtesy. I hope you will take this complaint seriously and ensure that your gym is managed by someone who is qualified, respectful, and knows how to treat customers appropriately. Thank you

And you can't tell me they do that else where cause i've never been charged an extra fee to pay my bill auto pay .

For a long time, one of the best perks was bringing my kid on weekends -- she could hang out nearby while I got a quick workout in. That's over. FFC now charges $25 for a "Kids Club" membership, and even if you pay it, your kid is only allowed in two places: the Kids Club room or the gym. Not the floor, not sitting quietly nearby -- nothing else. I found this out the hard way when staff asked me to leave the floor because my 5-year-old was standing next to me while I finished up an 8-minute workout. Sunday, quick workout, kid just waiting for me -- and I still got kicked off. For a gym that used to market itself as family-friendly, charging long-time members extra money for less access is a bad look. Eight years in and this is how they treat loyal members with kids. Can't recommend FFC Park Ridge to any parent right now.
