But there are also regular folks who are there to sweat and get instruction. the team really makes it successful for all. my physical condition has declined to the point where I am largely retired from CrossFit, but I still work out hard during open gym. Six years of crossfit and I've visited half a dozen boxes but this place was a joke. Members were friendly but Bethany had a thin mask of friendliness and micromanaged everything from no chalk to no water in the gym. She even told me at one point during the lift to not push too hard since I'm on vacation. Due to the small size of the gym, even though I paid for a full week, there was no option for staying after to work on any lifts in my current cycle, and was told open gym time is only for members. Needless to say I won't be going back. Even though I paid for a week and only used two days, I'd rather check out another local box.

The weight room has no free weights, however, their is more than enough machines to get a sweat. Treadmills, Elliptical, Sit Down Circuit Bikes, etc. The pool is also wonderful. Cold - but bearable. There is a Jacuzzi as well with a kiddy pool attached to it. The diving board is open when staff numbers are decent. There is also a slide for the kids to go down as well. The workouts are unbelievably efficient. I love how much you can work your muscles in such a short amount of time. ARX strength training is a game changer. Fast, effective, and no wasted effort. Vasper is harder than you expect, but so good for you, and the AI CAROL bikes keep you in the right zone every time, which makes each workout feel purposeful and optimized. To top it off, the infrared sauna is fantastic, or you can finish with the cooling mats for recovery. It feels like a semi-private training session. You get a lot of personal attention and support, with just a few others around, so you're not working out alone but also not lost in a big, crowded gym. Similar idea but small isolated controlled movement. Studio was great, clean and good music. Some fun retail items as well. I appreciated the water bottle filling station too.
