Because of Valley Medical and their badass staff, I FINALLY was introduced to a surgeon who validated my life-long struggles and agreed I should have this torture organ removed. FINALLY. After over 20+ OBGYNS. I just had my total hysterectomy. Something I've needed since age 13 and have never been considered for because "maybe you want kids!!" *lol* I'm 10 days post-op and have been thoroughly cared for by the surgeon and her team. I feel amazing. She is a wonderful Dr. She's very friendly, knowledgeable and has excellent bedside manners. Dermatologist is located on the 2nd floor. It's a big department with many dermatologists. It's hard getting an appointment sometimes but I can always message her with any concerns and she can get me in to see her if need be. There is ample parking in front of the building.

I try to avoid appointments at all costs, but I do want to live, so with my complicated health issues, visits are sometimes inevitable. Wow!!! Dr. Huy Nguyen is exceptional!!!!!!!!! He is a hematologist, and he spent so much time going over every detail of my issue with me today while drawing diagrams and making perfectly timed jokes to put me at ease. Then he said he was going to refer me to physical therapy and if that didn't help we could look at other options. I walked out feeling dejected. First of all, I've been to Kaiser PT several times over the years and it consists of an assessment and a sheet of paper with exercises. I think I need more than that. Second, he expressed concern several times for a health issue in my record that is already being addressed by my PCP and others within Kaiser. Everything possible is being done for this issue, but all he could see was a red flag and not the treatment I am receiving. Third, when I asked him about another disorder closely related to the one I was being seen for, he said it wasn't his area of expertise and I would need to see a different doctor about that. I had gone to the appointment thinking he was going to treat the entire issue, not just one piece of it. I think the doctor did the best that he could within the parameters of Kaiser's healthcare system, but I feel like I'm not being heard or receiving good care.

I established care with this provider and they were able to help me with all my medical needs. I messaged them to make an appointment for this year, and they called me back to let me know that my provider resigned last September! They had no decency to call or message me to let me know that he left the practice. This office is extremely unprofessional and quite frankly they do not care about you or your health. I don't understand how they can go through so many providers in so little time, that is saying something. Go there at your own risk!

Dr. Bui operated on both of my feet so great that only the day after surgery I had slight pain and that was it! As of the second day, I was able to walk around without any pain or discomfort. For my first procedure he gave me various painkillers, anti inflammatory, ... Not only I didn't find the need to take them, for the second procedure I asked him not to prescribe me any medications as I wouldn't need any. To me, these were magical procedures. If I had not experienced this on my own, I wouldn't believe anyone's advice! I feel lucky and grateful for being referred to Dr. Bui by my nephew. Dr. Bui is also my sister's specialist as well yet referred by my nephew. Now, we have an outstanding family doctor. Appreciate it Dr. Bui!

Very disappointing experience at the Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Laboratory, Department 168 on…read morethe 1st Floor. My young son has Down syndrome, is nonverbal, and experiences severe anxiety with medical procedures. Despite requesting a private room to help reduce his distress, we were required to remain in the main laboratory area for his blood draw. The procedure became increasingly traumatic as he cried, struggled, and became overwhelmed. After the blood draw, he removed his bandage due to sensory distress and began bleeding down his arm and onto the floor. While he was visibly upset and actively bleeding, assistance was not provided as quickly as it should have been. I expected greater compassion, appropriate accommodations for a child with developmental disabilities, and a more trauma-informed approach to pediatric care. Instead, the experience felt rushed, stressful, and unnecessarily traumatic for my child. I hope Kaiser reviews its procedures and staff training for working with pediatric patients and individuals with special needs.
