I tweaked my lower back earlier this year, and the injury kept me away from basketball and the…read moreweight room for at least 3 months. Landed oddly on a rebound and immediately felt something off in my right side lower back. I self-rehabbed at home, but couldn't get to a point where I had the confidence to lift or hoop confidently. I came to Progressive Motion hoping to assess my injury, gain the tools I needed to get back to hooping/lifting, and hopefully learn what I can do to prevent that injury in the future. Dr. Matt took good care of me, assessed my movement/jump, and gave me 4 drills to take back home and rebuild strength in my hips & lower back. It's been almost a month since my first appointment, and after doing these drills daily, I was able to get back on the court last weekend and run full-court 5s pain free. I'd highly recommend Progressive Motion for your physical therapy needs! Especially if you're a 'weekend warrior' hooper like me. Clean, state of the art facilities and the most cordial, knowledgeable professionals. Thank you PM team!

I never really considered seeing a physical therapist until I started working with Dr. Joey, and I'm so glad I did. During my sessions, we worked through targeted exercises and drills, along with cupping therapy, to improve my mobility and reduce pain. Dr. Joey took the time to educate me on the root causes of my issues and provided video demonstrations of exercises I could continue doing at home. Over time, I noticed a significant improvement in my range of motion and a reduction in pain, especially with everyday activities like bending down and picking things up from the floor. Now that Dr. Joey and Dr. Josh have opened their new facility in Redwood City, I've been able to continue my strength training while also rehabbing my knee in their gym. What really sets Progressive Motion apart is the integrated approach they offer. Not only do you have access to exceptional physical therapy, but there are also in-house personal trainers available to help guide you through your workouts. The entire staff is incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, and supportive. Whether you have questions about exercise form, movement mechanics, or injury prevention, there is always someone available to help. It's reassuring to know you're surrounded by Licensed massage therapists, physical therapists, and personal trainers/strength coaches who share a common philosophy. As well as, individuals who genuinely care about helping you move and feel better. I highly recommend Progressive Motion to anyone looking for physical therapy, injury recovery, or simply a supportive environment to improve their strength and overall movement quality.

Dr. Vid gets you back to doing what you love - but you've got to do the work too…read more After a significant fall that left me with limited mobility and daily pain, I knew I needed more than just quick fixes. I wanted a provider who would help me understand the biomechanical root cause of my issues, not just treat symptoms. Dr. Vid Jindal absolutely delivered on that front. What sets Dr. Vid apart is his multi-modal, evidence-based approach. During my initial visit, he performed comprehensive movement assessments that revealed patterns I never knew existed. As someone who works in tech, I appreciated how he explained exactly what each test indicated and how different movement dysfunctions were contributing to my pain. His extensive certifications beyond his DC degree (ART, Graston Technique, SFMA assessments, and more) were immediately apparent in how thoroughly he evaluated my condition. Here's what you need to know going in: Dr. Vid will be completely upfront that lasting results require your active participation. This isn't a "come in twice a week forever" situation - it's a corrective/functional care program where the real work happens between visits. I'll be honest, initially I wasn't thrilled about adding exercises to my daily routine. But Dr. Vid serves as both coach and advocate, helping you understand exactly why each movement matters for your long-term health. The results speak for themselves. Even with me admittedly not completing my "homework" 100% of the time at first, I noticed significant improvements in my upper body mobility and reduced extremity pain within just a few sessions. As I became more consistent with the at-home exercises, our progress accelerated dramatically. What impressed me most is Dr. Vid's commitment to education. Every session includes both hands-on treatment for soft tissue dysfunctions and spine/extremity adjustments, plus time spent helping you understand how to prevent re-injury and maintain your progress independently. Unlike providers who just want to cycle you through, he's genuinely invested in getting you to that "state of ready" where you can live actively and pain-free. If you're someone who wants to take an active role in your recovery and values understanding the "why" behind your treatment, you'll thrive here. Even if that's not your natural inclination, Dr. Vid's realistic approach to setting expectations and his genuine passion for patient education make the investment worthwhile. Bottom line: a few months of focused work with Dr. Vid has given me tools and knowledge about my body that I'll use for life. Highly recommend if you're ready to put in the effort for lasting results.

Thanks to him, I went from debilitating foot pain to dancing freely for hours in four-inch heels. To me, it's nothing short of miraculous. I came to Dr. Vid after running out of options. After a decade of dancing, I developed foot pain that no podiatrist, shoe, cream, or orthotic could fix. When I first contacted him, my expectations were admittedly low. The pain had been intense, and here I was, entrusting myself to someone who was neither a dancer nor a specialist in life on very high heels. How much I underestimated him! From the very first session, I realized I was in expert hands -- with someone who wouldn't just look at my foot, but assess my entire body, identifying root causes I'd never considered. What followed were focused, hands-on sessions to address the problem areas, followed by active physical therapy. He taught me exactly where and how to build strength to protect my body from future injury. I began to understand that if I want to stay pain-free -- especially under high-stress demands -- I need to take an active role in caring for and strengthening my body. And Dr. Vid showed me precisely how to do that. Dr. Vid won't give you a magic pill, an invasive surgery, or an overnight fix -- because he knows those only mask the issue and can even make it worse over time. He won't have you come in for quick sessions only to keep returning with the same problem. What he will do is zoom in on your body, identify the root cause, treat you holistically, and equip you with an arsenal of tools that will leave you feeling stronger and healthier than you have in years. His expertise is astonishing, his knowledge vast, his encouragement unwavering, and his positivity contagious. Finding Dr. Vid changed everything. What he gave me wasn't just relief - it was the strength and knowledge to keep doing what I love for years to come.

After she worked on my viscera, I immediately felt lighter on my stomach without the bloated feeling. While we did functional retesting, I could turn my trunk to both sides a lot easier, and bending backward also became easier. I am able to activate my core a lot faster after that single treatment while performing my gym routine. Right after the visceral work, my appetite immediately came back. The result lasted for weeks! On my second visit, I had acutely hurt my ankle during a intensive workout. In mid stance and terminal stance of walking (when my foot is on the ground) I had pain up to 6/10, and in active ankle dorsiflexion and plantar flexion (bending and pointing the ankle) was 4/10 pain. After she worked on my ankle, the pain was gone during walking and in closed kinetic chain gym exercises, while moving my ankle to end ranges in open chain went from 4/10 to 1/10 pain. Her touch is very soft but precise. Interpersonally, Sloane is an excellent active listener and knows how to make you feel very comfortable with her soothing tone of voice and expertise. Highly recommend!

I walked in for a pilates mat class and walked out with a free one-OH YAH! I arrived a bit early to check out the digs. Bridget was kind enough to give me a tour and inspire me to work hard! Nice industrial space that caters to working off some steam! On the left is the studio for group classes, and on the right is the equipment/reformer room. They must have had like 8 or so machines. It was cool and I assume great for personal training. After my "tour," Bridget set up me up right in front. "Up here" I asked? She smiled, handed me the equipment I needed and wished me good luck. I remember lying nervously awaiting the arrival of the instructor. What was I going to have to do...AND in front of the class...? Wowza! Enter Jocelyn S., whose simple stature and being was very deceiving. She was strong, flexible, and very easy to listen to. I liked the sound of her voice, and she made me feel very comfortable and strong all at the same time. Thanks to Mercy B...I was ready for this class. I loved it, and can see how I will be challenged. Definitely a good core workout and I can't wait to explore options. It's convenient, parking is easy, studio is clean, and staff is great. I saw Dr. Greg for three weeks when I was home for the holidays and am so glad I found him. Unlike most PT practices that require their therapists to juggle multiple patients at once, Dr. Greg is a one-man shop who spends the ENTIRE session with you. And he's excellent-- kind of a walking encyclopedia of human anatomy. When I got back to Brooklyn, my surgeon and PT here were both impressed by my progress. I've already connected Dr. Greg with a former teammate who is also slated for a TKR . Highly recommended!

As a dance teacher, I know how important it is to find a PT you can rely on -- Greg absolutely stands out in that regard. From the start, Greg struck the perfect balance between personal and professional. He immediately put me at ease, and it's obvious how knowledgeable and thoughtful he is. He genuinely cares -- not just about symptoms, but about your overall progress and long-term well-being. He took the time to really listen to my concerns, questions, and medical history, and approached everything with patience and care. I've been dealing with persistent hip pain for a year. While resting and seeing a couple other PTs helped, the pain never fully went away. I came to Greg wanting to understand why it was still lingering and how to prevent it from coming back. Even when I struggled to explain things clearly, he asked the right questions and guided the conversation toward uncovering the issue. He quickly identified the source of the problem while still taking the time to look at contributing factors elsewhere in my body. One quick tip for first-timers: when you enter the complex from the front, go inward and slightly to the right. It's not directly under the clinic sign (which threw me off), but it's easy to find once you've been there once!
