Alex Anne M.

Prices are above average compared to a traditional thrift store, but because they sell designer names and trendy clothes I feel their prices are justified. Compared to Goodwill they're buying clothes based on trends with no stains or signs of wear so this may lower your chances of what you sell. Crossroads Trading is very clean and well organized with around 10 fitting rooms so there is no bottleneck waiting in line to try on clothes. I appreciate Crossroads Trading organizes its clothes by size as other second-hand stores like Second Street do not. I have found some really great finds here - a Loft Faux Leather jacket for $40 (originally $180) and Lululemon leggings for $20. Because this location is located in Lincoln Park there is always a line to sell clothes. My dream is that they hire more cashiers to help get more patrons selling clothes through the line faster. I waited 45 minutes mid-day on a Tuesday to sell clothes. I do admire that they have a digital sign-in system to contact you when it is your turn to sell, and a rack to put your clothes on while you wait because then you can bop around Lincoln Park doing other errands.

Items passed on in excellent condition even after showing the order receipt on my phone

These are the items passed on today by the buyer: -Gucci Sweater (originally $980, purchased October 2021) -Gucci mini bag (originally $1,390, purchased October 2021) -Gucci sweater vest (originally $1389, purchased December 2021) -rag & bone long sleeve knit top (worn 3-4 times, from 2022) -Hugo Boss cardigan (worn 2-3 times, from 2022) -Kurt Geiger handbag (clutch/crossbody neon yellow) A couple other nice things had tiny imperfections so I guess I could understand that. But the buyer said she couldn't authenticate the gucci items, so I pulled up my gucci online account to show her the order receipts. Then she said she would need a receipt from my email and that a screenshot of the order page showing the invoice would not work. Very strange, especially considering the items they bought were the cheapest/worst quality/least stylish items I had brought in! Also, I looked around the entire store at least twice and couldn't find a single thing worth buying/trading for. They won't take gucci but if you have Zara, h&m, express, Uniqlo, or other fast fashion they will definitely take that and sell it for almost as much as the item costs brand new!

Looking for a T.J.Maxx, off brand already ugly Lilly Pulitzer summer collection lookalike but with stains & more stains? DEALS!!

Great wide selection of clothes. A touch overpriced for used clothing store but not terrible.

I have lived in Chicago many years and this is the only resale store I would consider buying clothing from.

In honor of women's history month, I would like to shine the spot light on this very cool shop in…read morethe Pilsen neighborhood. Also, I would like to thank all of the people that have come out to support businesses in this area that were hit hard by the current political climate in Washington D.C. At the height of violence in our streets I tried to do my best by supporting some of these businesses. During this phase 18th street looked like a ghost town on a Saturday. Normally on a Saturday in this neighborhood has people teeming everywhere and the smell of an asado in the air (Yum). Having time off and having an asado is the perfect way to relax and spend time with your family. Plus, who doesn't like the smell of an asado? Well during this time period I found this shop that I thought had some really cool and unique stuff. Also, you may notice that they have a fair amount of stuff with the famous Hulu's The Bear line, "Yes Chef, No Chef" on it. If you are a fan of the show like I am, then, the interior will look familiar to you because it was in a seen on the show (I think it was season 3). I immediately recognized the store and thought to myself "cool" and great choice. Anyhow, if you find yourself in the area, pop in and check it out. They are very selective as to which artists around the country they want to buy from and in turn sell their products. Maybe you will find that one unique thing that you have been looking for that you didn't realize you need. I mean, you never know unless you check it out. My fellow Chicagoans, please go out and support your local small shops!

My mom and I could've spent the whole day there, the staff was welcoming and the store offered the most cutest items that were reasonably priced.
