Everything's insanely organized in this store, and it's not super overwhelming so it's quite easily accessible to try on (the clothes). I absolutely love it here! Although crossroads is a consignment store and typically more expensive than thrift stores like savers, goodwill, salvation army, etc, there's a ton of quality clothing here for such a steal. I bought a vintage adidas shirt here and a very comfortable olive green jacket. I've searched retail for the jacket, and it was about $80 and I got it here for about $30! The shirt was $10 and retail was roughly around $20! I got some more random stuff like sweaters, too, for a good deal. Thanks crossroads! read more

In the matter of an hour I saw really positive engagement from the team with all customers - shopping and selling - even a shady looking character trying to pawn shoes off his own feet (not joking). The staff last night was rude. The dressing room attendant seemed as if my friend and I were inconveniencing her by being there and she was not wearing a bra! Not very professional. Had such an amazing experience selling tonight with Kelly that I had to update my review! She was friendly, professional, and clearly knew her way around both quality and trendy items. I wanted to purchase a Free People jumpsuit that I had found on the sale rack, but was hesitant because it wasn't half off as I had originally hoped. I thought that was a joke.. but no she was serious. The staff does not know the value of brands or how to present them in the store when they get them. Went here to sell yesterday! Though they only took two items out of the bag I brought in, it was justifiable because they're only purchasing for spring. Very friendly service and I ended up getting $7 for my stuff! Yay! (pretty good since I brought in winter clothes... doot doot doot) I ended up just taking the store credit (for cash it would've been $3.50) and I used it towards a pleather jacket :) which ended up being about $7.00 afterwards! Good deal. The members of the staff are really chill and friendly and the racks are well organized. They also had a pair of decent looking suede, taupe-colored Litas for $60! AMAZING deal... if you're a size 7.5 :( sigh, oh well. TIP: you can drop your stuff off at the front and get a claim ticket while you shop around and wait for your name to be called :) Also, Tory Burch flats are pretty high on their wishlist for those of you who want to sell yours. read more

Listen to the reviews!!!! They have a low rating for a reason. I made the mistake of leaving my clothes there and not checking what they had taken before accepting the money. They took new Dr. Martens, a brand new Levi's jacket and two additional jackets and gave me $28. I was so angry when I realized what they had taken. At the same time there was a homeless lady trying a bunch of items on on top of her clothes. I would never go back!!!! read more

When walking in not a single word was said to me. I had to guess the ipad infront of me was where I was supposed to sign in. I signed in to sell and it took a staggering 2 hours. No one told me how long the wait would be or if anyone would be with me soon. Makiah was incredibly rude every time i came up to check my place in line she wouldn't say a word to me, and repeatedly yelled out to her coworkers in a disrespectful tone. She looked as if she simply did not want to be there. The other girls were nicer however there was one girl at the front that simply was very loud and did a unnerving impression of what she thought was a Australian accent. (Very unprofessional if you ask me). The fitting rooms were completely dirty with piles of dust in every corner, dresses were dragging on the ground. And trying to find someone to help me get something off the mannequin was simply a catastrophe. When my stuff was finally looked at i got the girl who simply talked too much was easily side tracked and when i was told by her two days previous that y2k was selling and to bring them in she turned down all of my items because apparently they weren't selling anymore. If i could give zero stars i would. A complete waste of time I will forever be going to buffalo exchange or 2nd street (which offers a higher price). I repeat do not go here, and do not waste your time. Horrible store and horrible customer service. read more

I sold at crossroads for the first time yesterday. The girl was INCREDIBLY condescending and rude. She rifled through the items i was selling by looking at the tag and nothing else. No consideration of style or condition. She was only polite to me once she discovered I was selling a few designer items. I sat there as she rolled her eyes about items that she wouldn't personally wear it seemed. There was a young man who was also inspecting items- he was FAR more polite and was holistically/thoroughly examining the items. I will only return with high end brands (although I saw a plethora of items from J Crew and other middle-range brands on the racks) to hopefully ensure a more pleasant selling experience. read more

So I have to mirror what MANY other reviews already say- they don't want your clothes if they're not designer and if they're not women's clothes. The employee looking through my box of men's clothing took out a few Lucky and Express shirts from off top and then just started putting clothes back in. She didn't even look through the box.... I waited 40 minutes to sell, the least I could be given is a little consideration. Staff is completely rude and condescending, don't even make eye contact and really just want you to leave unless you have a pair of Jimmy Choos. Won't be back, won't recommend and honestly could have added some rude conversations I overheard while I was there but what's the point- this place already has a crappy rating and no one is doing anything about it. read more

Pretty disappointed in lack of communication regarding their closing practices. I came in a little before 7. I know they close at 8, after 30 minutes of rummaging I'm ready to try clothes on and their fitting room is closed. A courteous WARNING would have been nice. If I knew ahead of time they don't let people try clothes on 30 minutes before closing, I would have taken the opportunity to plan accordingly. No last call warnings or anything. How am I supposed to guess? After wasting 30 minutes of my time digging through clothes I can't try on, what's the point? I get they have a rhyme and a reason to close fitting rooms early, I'm not upset about that. The lack of transparency and communication is a let down. read more

I've been frequenting this Crossroads location for about a year now. I'm always excited with all of the new items they have on a weekly basis with affordable pricing for designer items. I wanted to note that the manager RILEY is doing just an extra-ordinary job. They know their brands and their trends and what will do best in the store. On top of that, they understand communication and management, which is lacking in leadership roles today. They run a cohesive team! Also, Riley goes beyond working at a store, they are going to school to better serve the environment through film and design. Also, Micaiah is so sweet and kind. Always willing to help and brighten your day with a smile, even if it's been a long exhausting day. They also supervise well, always being ready to answer a question or manage the register when there's a new staff. EDEN is simply amazing at what they do. I remember when they just started and where they've come. Such a quick learner and handles each customer with respect. They've handled my buys multiple times and always treats my items gently and folds them back into my bags. I appreciate that. RU definitely keeps the store peppy and lively. It wouldn't be what it is without them! I've had LAURA a few times there as well, and they take the time to communicate in-depth what the store needs and what I would benefit to bring in. Most places just say that they didn't take something because of condition, but Laura goes out of their way to explain specific styles, damage, fabrics, and more. Great job, guys! read more

This place is great! I've been selling my clothes for a long time and this place is always on my list when I'm doing my sell run. The place is located on a great plaza with plenty of parking (some places are right off the street so I have to kind of struggle holding like 3 bags of clothes) and the staff is uber friendly. The place also offer consignment but what I really like about this place is that they dont just look at labels but really at the quality/conditions of clothes and the trends. When I'm waiting to sell, I always do a round of shopping and I always walk out of here with an item or two. The clothing and shoes are worn but not worn OUT. They're all still in pretty good shape and clean. The clothing is affordable. I found some JC shoes for $20 dollars that I would say was worn twice or max three times. The sell is fair, they explain why they're not taking some items and why they're taking the others. I do have to mention that the buyers are picky at times because I brought in a bag of clothes in the morning once and the buyer bought off 6 items and then I came back in the afternoon on the same day after lunch and brought in the same bag of rejected clothes back and they took additional 7 items. So make sure you get a good buyer who's open to a broader range of fashion and trends! read more

Hit or miss when selling. Watched the worker unfold/fold my clothes like a machine w/out ever looking at the labels. Took out the jewelry and placed them right back in the bag saying they only took in jewelry from wholesale venders (shady). Every time I come here I find security sensors stashed in pockets, so clearly there is a theft problem here, which left unchecked adds to the cost of everything. The dressing rooms have no chair at all either, just 2 hooks and a dirty floor. The clothes on the racks are also not checked for damage on a regular basis. I can't even count how many great items I've loved, then found holes or hangers shoved thru shoulders. read more

The GREATEST location EVER!!! I have the best luck picking items for myself and husband. I can swing from a size 6 to none of your business! They carry everything! By everything...Alexander McQueen to Target brand Merona. If I am in the none of your business size...I am really lucky with purses, shoes, and accessories. I am really grateful Crossroad Trading stores exist. They have saved me from overspending and fast fashion. Be eco friendly but you don't have to look like a burlap bag. I do have to go on record and say all the sales staff are super duper friendly. I have been to Studio City, Pasadena, and a location in Hollywood. Everyone is nice but this store goes out of its way to be helpful and kind. This location is always stocked with 2 items I always find. Workout wear for women and beach walking shorts for my husband. I'm not usually one to leave reviews, specially negative reviews but I felt like this review was necessary. I went to this location last week to sell some products that were new with tags / still original packaging. Most of the items I brought you were priced $50 to $200. I had to wait for about half an hour before there was a buyer available to look over my stuff. She let me know that it would take her about 30 minutes to look over my stuff which I didn't mind because I had planned on doing some shopping while there. I was finally called up to the counter to go over what items they wanted to buy. I already had a feeling that they were going to offer me very little for the items even though they were brand new but I was blown away at the crazy low offers they made. They offered me less than five dollars for a brand new namebrand swimsuit was priced at $200. I already had my doubts about what they would offer me so it wasn't a big deal for me that to tell the cashier that I was not going to sell anything. I went to grab one of the boxes of clothes that I had to sell but the cashier told me and I wasn't able to take my items until they removed the price tags and security bumpers off of all the items. I looked down and saw that they had placed price tags and security bumpers on my brand new / mint condition items!! I asked the cashier why they would make those unnecessary holes into my clothing when they haven't paid me for the items yet but she's explained to me that it's company policy to tag the items they planned to buy. My items now have two holes in them ruining their mint condition! I don't think they should be allowed to put a security tag on my items. So Im not have been able to leave the building with my own things until they allowed it?! This is a terrible way to handle customers items. I would not suggest going here to sell stuff. read more

Don't waste your time selling here. They don't give your clothes a try if it's not designer (even when you have cute clothes). Stick to going to Buffalo Exchange where the buyers have style so they know what to look for. Crossroads shouldn't be considered a true thrift store since they look for brand name only and not for the fashion. read more

During uncertain times, I'm happy to see this store requiring face mask and sticking to their grounds on it, not just for the staff but the SAFTEY of the customers. First time visiting this location and the team was incredible. I've been to other consignments stores but this experience was beyond anything prior, (completely due to the team)! They were kind, respectful, fast but efficient, calm, and welcoming. I had the pleasure of working with Ru and then was assisted briefly by Laura. I went on weekday at 5pm and the store was packed. In no time, the team worked together to get the line down, while keeping their amazingly positive and kind demeanors the entire time. Even when people would ignore their greetings or were rude, they were unphased and continued being a positive joy for those customers and well as the next. They know their brands and trends, they have amazing communication and customer service. They handle your items with care and return them neatly folded back into your bags. I'm local to this store but even if I wasn't I would go out of my way to choose this location over others and over similar stores, simply because of the team being so incredible. Pleasantly surprised with how great of a selling experience we had here today! I believe we were selling with the manager who seemed very overworked but still had a smile on her face which was much appreciated. Very kind and kept great conversation while going through our stuff. They ended up taking 3 pairs of Toms and 2 men's t shirts and we did the trade in and got store credit. I would definitely recommend selling (and buying for that matter - the selection is huge!) here over buffalo exchange or platos closet. We will definitely be back. The lady buying from us even told us what they were looking for and suggested we throw 2 of the shoes we brought in through the wash to make the inside whiter and they would probably take them next time we stop in! The place was nice very big with a lot of clothing, we had to wait about 25 min there were people in front of me and my bf which is fine but the staff didn't tell us the wait time by the time we got up to sell the lady going through the stuff had such a bad attitude not just towards us but towards co workers as well she jut put out a very bad vibe to where I wouldn't want to go back if it is like that. I had some really cute (free people) stuff that had been worn maybe twice and she wouldn't take it same with another pair of shoes. I saw some other shoes in there that were waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more old and messed up than mine I was super confused I got them less than a year ago. My girlfriend and I have been shopping here for almost a year now and have been moderately happy with the experience. If you are lucky, you can find some very nice clothes at a decent discount although the majority of the style they choose to sell is definitely catered towards one demographic of customers and not what appeals to the masses. So, don't expect to come across anything considered "normal, everyday clothes." This was also confirmed when we attempted to sell some of our clothes for the first time. Although there were about 15 people ahead of us when we arrived, the check-in process on the iPad was smooth and efficient so we didn't have to wait around in-store. It took around 2 hours until it was our turn. My girlfriend and I brought in a decent amount of clothes to sell, expecting at least a few pieces would be sold. However, the employee did not choose any of our clothes, which was very surprising considering we saw a couple pieces of clothing on their racks that were nearly identical to a few pieces we were selling. Seems like their criteria for picking which clothes to buy is inconsistent depending on which employee you get. I was initially hesitant selling my clothes here because I knew there was a lot of value I would be loosing, but I just wanted to get rid of them. There were a few pieces of clothing that were actually brand new with tags that cost me over $70 that they didn't even take. I was surprised to see this given from any business standpoint; might as well give me $10 for it and put it on the rack for $50. Seems like they are overlooking a lot of opportunities for profit, but it would appear that their ultimate goal is not profit, but to cater towards that one demographic I previously mentioned. I know this now, but it would have been nice to have someone take a preliminary look at our clothes before wasting away over 2 hours. read more

After selling to this store for 6 years, I'm considering not coming back again to sell my items. I arrived, I put my name down and they said they would call my name in 20 min. I asked the gentleman how does consignment work and a young lady with super long eye lashes interrupted him and said "we will tell you when we call your name". I was like ok and left. 5 minutes later I got a text that said "station for is ready to help you". What do you think if you get this text? That your items are ready and you can come back and pick up your money, right? Well no, they call your name to let you know that they will start looking are your items... you can watch or you can shop around. Is this the technic they use so you spend your money in the store? Idk, BUT when my items were done and they told me how much money I was going to get, they asked me to go in line to get my money... I was like what? I am already in front of you and computer, can't we make it easier and faster? ON TOP OF THIS, I was trying to consign a vintage Prada bag and they said they couldn't verify the authenticity do they couldn't take it... It had an authenticity card you can verify online. I bet you they didn't even try. After writing this, I will definitely bring my business to the Huntington Beach store read more

I frequent the Irvine location and they recommended to try the Costa Mesa store to buy my turquoise Tony Lama leather boots. So I took a drive out there, and It seems I can't get rid of these country bad boys! Although they accepted my Nike Airs, Uggs ( they have been all over the US) and my beige satin Coach purse. Thankful that they made it worth my while. I was in and out of there within 30 minutes on a Saturday afternoon! All of the girls are friendly, and do explain why they reject items. Crossroads is one of my favorite stores! I have been shopping at this location & at other locations for more than 5 years. I buy most of my clothes secondhand now. That being said, something I've noticed about Crossroads no matter where I go (Chicago, Los Angeles, Orange County) is that they have the RUDEST employees. Seriously, every. single. time. I do sell clothes at Crossroads often and have racked up quite a bit in store credit, but it has taken me a long time to do so because their selection process is so particular. I understand not wanting certain items, however, their staff really just comes off as lazy. In Chicago, I brought a bag in with about 30 items. They turned down every single one. The NEXT DAY, I came back in to the exact same store with only 4 of those items, same staff working. Alll of them were purchased. Strange, right? The staff members usually look like they don't care, and I've even had experiences where I have been pushed out 30 minutes before closing because they don't want to be held there longer than they have to be. One time, I went from this Costa Mesa location to the Costa Mesa Buffalo Exchange after 10 of my items (all of them) were turned down. Buffalo bought 8 of them, and honestly for a better price than I've ever received from Crossroads, which is why I prefer Buffalo Exchange to Crossroads now. I typically do not leave reviews for clothing stores, but after 5 years of harbored resentment for their unbelievably rude employees, bad customer service, and odd purchasing choices, I wanted to leave this note. Their clothing choices typically range from $12-30 for a decent piece of clothing, and are frequently from brands that I love like Free People, Brandy Melville, UNIF, Urban Outfitters, Audrey 3+1, and sometimes For Love and Lemons. Clothing is a 4/5 here, but their terrible customer service across several locations brings it down. read more
