I'm disappointed in the manager, he places all management responsibilities on fairly new employees. It's wrong and distasteful. First time trying to sell items. I had a ton of mens clothing and they bought a few items. They offer you store credit for items you sell or cash but it's less than the store credit. They carry a lot of good brands, madewell, lululemon, Nordstrom brands. I actually ended up buying a few items myself. I will definitely be back to sell and buy! read more

Place is a straight up dump. I wouldn't buy or sell for this place. If you want real fashion for real great prices shop the real real. This place Is a waste of time and energy for buying and selling. I have to take a shower right when I get home. It worse then a donation center. So gross so dirty and not high end. They told me it would be 20 minutes wait to sell. But I waited for 2.5 hours. Out of two bags of handbags and clothes, they bought nothing. I had brand new jeans from True Religion, brand new jacket of BCBGMaxzaria, brand new handbag from Juicy Couture....They dumped everything they said is "out fashioned and old back into my bags. I went to Buffalo Exchange after Crossroads, 0 wait time and I managed to sell 2 items. They folded back all the clothes that they didn't want to buy and put everything back to my bag. I have missed my Costa Mesa Crossroads during the Covid quarantine. For me, this has become the best of the best Crossroads since a new manager took over about a year ago. I am not sure the actual time line but this "new" Manager, Melissa, has taken a very cluttered, sketchy and "dirty" feeling store to a spacious, clean, open area store. I LOVE what she has done in the men's shoe department her wall fixtures are brilliant and elevates the impression of the store as "higher end". Her staff seems to like her very much and she respects them. there are some EXTRAORDINARY people working at Crossroads, JOHNNY is an amazing, efficient, kind, and darling staff member, ditto for Jordyn. I began consigning at CROSSROADS in WE HO over 15 years ago. I was fortunate to meet Christie Cook who turned a bit of a mishap into a very positive impression & experience. Tatiana in WE HO is also a treasure and a favourite. I have realized that Crossroads is being much more selective in what they bring in to the store. As much as I am irritated by the many items I have had returned to me, as a consumer, I appreciate the careful curation and have made some stellar finds & purchases ! I drove 45 minutes to help my mom give some things a nice second home. Buying hours are until 8 pm. I checked in on their app. When I arrived the girl doing the buying said they were getting off early and weren't taking anymore. Strange though as I'd come before and the manager had told me they're open til 8. Their website says buying and selling til 8, as did their app they make you download to sign in ahead of time. Pretty weak overall as the girl was also rude about it. I politely let her know we were already signed in and that I thought they were still open, to which she told me they had a busy day earlier and were leaving early. While I am sorry she felt perhaps she was overworked for the day, she is still supposed to do the job she is paid to do. Is she not? *review for buying only* This location is great if you're small. Literally, a small. They have a large selection of clothing that appear to be 50% small and the rest medium and large. I bought from Crossroads several times for myself and found some cute clothes. The clothes on the cheaper end tend to be $15-22. When the clothes have been there for a month or some specified time period, they are marked half-off! Some resellers rave about Crossroads, but IMO they seem to be pricey to source from except for maybe a few rare finds?? I'll come back after I clear out my closet and see how selling goes for me! read more

Cleaned out my closet and thought... let's stop at crossroads! Was able to sale allot of my stuff that was in season for what their buying, the manager I believe Melissa was so nice! She was accommodating to us and our baby and made a long process very easy, I mean we brought in 5 bags of clothes! Store is clean, staff is friendly and parking was very easy. If your spring cleaning why not potentially get a little cash for it? Everything that they didn't buy I dropped off at the goodwill up the street! This establishment is super relaxed, hip, chic & Friendly. Especially a beautiful and very professional young lady by the name of Wakiah Taylor. Her ability to multitask wrangling her staff, greeting every guest as they entered and managing the selling/trading operation. If you need an emergency pair of trunks for an unexpectedly hot day at the beach, a quick statement piece for a hot date night or a new tailored piece for that special job interview this place should have what you think you're looking for & possibly didn't even know you needed! **Selling Clothes Review** This was my first time selling clothes, and I didn't feel welcomed when I came to this location. After sifting through my items, I told the employee I wanted to take some time to look through the store before I decided to cash out or do a trade. The employee did not seem happy that I didn't want to make a decision right away. To even do a trade, I wanted to see if there was even anything I wanted that was worth trading. Out of the 4 items they were willing to take, I was only willing to sell one of them due to the prices they wanted to buy at. Overall, I was more unwilling to sell to this location because of my negative interactions with the employees. Their tone was just rude and condescending, especially to someone who was selling for the first time. Never coming back to this location. This place is super picky with their items. If you don't have designer, you're better off going elsewhere or donating because they won't even bother with it. They don't even care about condition if it isn't a designer brand. Make sure to also bring clothes that are within the current season or they won't take it. read more

I've visited several Crossroads throughout Southern California and this one by far is the largest and has the BEST selection, which could mean major trouble for my pocket-book - uh oh! However, with the expansive selection, they often mark down their already greatly discounted items to make room for trendy newcomers. On my most recent visit, I scored a J Crew Scarf (new with tags!), a Juicy Couture necklace, and an adorable dress with the 2014 pantone color of the year (orchid) all for less than $30. I love treasure hunting! And you know the items are all in style, since the store is extremely picky with what they accept. I could easily spend hours in this store playing dress-up, and picking outfits without the retail price-tag is always in style :) read more

The employees were not friendly at all. A lot of the clothes they were selling smelled like cigarettes and some had holes in them.

It use to be my favorite store for used clothes and items, because they have very unique items. Items are somewhat flashy and different so its great for night outings, brunch etc. They still have a huge amount of quality items. Biggest Crossroad's store I've been too. Parking Lot: Free but shared so sometimes it could get pack. Located by a Coffee Bean and BevMo with restrooms. Staff are super nice, and helpful. Prices for items: $10-$40+, mostly around $15.(Yes, pricey for used clothes, but if you like certain brands and quality, its a great deal). Selling - I've had a great experience. Staff are super nice. They are looking for specific items listed on their website but they take some not in season items if its worth it for them. Buying - Love the amount of unique, great quality items here. Everything is clean, feels like buying from an actual (none thrift/used) store. However, racks and styles got changed around now.....most of their items use to be more vibrant, now the racks look just all stacked like a thrift store. I would recommend this place for shoes, clothing and jewelry. I am not a fan of their purse selection. They only hold a few jewelry pieces, but they're unique. read more

So, I thought, um....I'm going to do a little test. So, I go into CT early one morning, I try on a couple of different pairs of jeans, I ask the very friendly young sales clerk for her opinion of which jeans are cute, in style, etc. she happily gave me her very honest opinion. She even stated, "I love these, these just came in!" So, I'm thinking, okay, this is good. I thank her for her help. I purchase the jeans. Later that day........ I send my very cute, stylish niece back into CT late in the day to "sell" the jeans that I'd just bought earlier, as to try and not get the same girl who sold me the jeans. Sure enough, different sales people than when I bought the jeans. So niece takes in the jeans, (of course, I've removed the CT tag) & a pair of nearly new vans. The very friendly "buyer" states to my niece, "We can take the vans, but these jeans aren't really what we are looking for, they would be too hard to sell." ~ I'm not a college student, but I'm not old either. ~ So, this basically sums up their "buying policy". Not much of a protocol, just hit or miss or who you get as your "buyer". True Story ~ I will still shop at CT, but I would much rather find a needy & appreciative person to give my clothes to. read more

When you sell, its 35% cash or 50% credit of what your item will be priced. I've sold & bought here before. When you come in to sell, you write your name on a clipboard and hand them your items. Depending on how busy they are you can either wait on the comfy little bench or shop around or grab some coffee next door. They're pretty reasonable with buying your items (bring in decent items worth selling & currently in season) & not only have I sold my own items but I've gotten rid of quite a few of my ex's belongings as well. Talk about free money, it felt damn good! But don't be discouraged if they don't buy your items, take em on down to Dee Lux or Buffalo Exchange. If all else fails, donate them, you'll feel better than just throwing them away :) Usually they'll take it if you don't want it & donate it for you. As for purchasing, I love digging through the racks for things & I always happen to find something! The shoe selection isn't that great and every time I come in, it doesn't seem to change much, I guess people don't really sell size 6 shoes that often. Terrible for selling. OK for buying occasionally if you are sample size. I've bought and sold there over the years but currently all they seem to buy now are previous seasons salesman samples, anything that's a hipster brand and things that it looks like H&M sells. If you look at what they have hanging on the walls up high, every single piece is pure black and looks exactly the same. Dropped off a few bags, came back the next day, only about 3 items were unfolded, the rest weren't even touched. Brand new unworn black vans, Levi's pants, Modern Amusement, Quiksilver, OP, and anything not emo, dark, or skinny apparently doesn't make the cut anymore. Honestly, they didn't even go through them. Things were still folded and in the order I gave them to them. If you're a sales rep looking to offload past season samples with tags on them, go for it, you'll get a few bucks each, but probably better off on ebay if you want to make a little more money. read more

by far one of the worst consignment/thrift stores to sell or even buy your clothes at, and it's horribly dirty. the return isn't good and the lines are always 2 hours or more no matter what time you get there at to sell your clothes. not to mention they don't tell you half the requirements you have to have to sell. also the staff at the checkout are all super stuck up and rude and they are very unhelpful. they act they they work at some fancy store yet they work in a complete rats nest of a beat up thrift store. i'm never coming back to any crossroads store ever again. if i could give 0 stars i would. Everything's insanely organized in this store, and it's not super overwhelming so it's quite easily accessible to try on (the clothes). I absolutely love it here! Although crossroads is a consignment store and typically more expensive than thrift stores like savers, goodwill, salvation army, etc, there's a ton of quality clothing here for such a steal. I bought a vintage adidas shirt here and a very comfortable olive green jacket. I've searched retail for the jacket, and it was about $80 and I got it here for about $30! The shirt was $10 and retail was roughly around $20! I got some more random stuff like sweaters, too, for a good deal. Thanks crossroads! read more
