I'm not sure how this place stays afloat. Merch travels at a snail's pace here. Same stuff on clearance for a very long time. I think they price everything way to high. I still managed to find some very key items that were half off. Designer stuff extremely overpriced. And when I sold clothing, buyer made two piles, then went through the "buying" pile again! First time I"VE EVER had this happen. I've been buying and selling at consignment shops for about 20 years!! All over LA and OC. Needless to say I was disappointed in what they actually purchased from me. None of my items sold in that month of traditional consignment, either. If they were marked for half of what they adverstise, they would probably sell A LOT more. Clerks all super nice!!!! So, the shopping/selling experience was defenitely worth it in the end. Next door to a Forever 21-type store, I braced myself for overflowing racks of similar clothes, only this time, they'd be USED. Great. Most of my expectations were confirmed except for a few small glimmers of quality and style shining through plenty of trendy, cheaply-constructed items. Luckily, I caught my eye on a gold-bead embroidered tank ($12) to overlay my silk gold Bebe top ($7) and a pair of Nine West giraffe print heels for $14. Definitely worthwhile, but don't expect real vintage because this place ain't thrifty. Most looks new, and caters to a top 40/hip-hop lovin' crowd. If you can stand the music, then by all means, shop 'til you drop. read more

LOADS of great finds- Although a bit pricey for a consignment store. Nonetheless, Crossroads is definitely one of my favorite places to shop, I prefer it over shopping malls or department stores! There's always tons of good finds here, you just have to put in the time. My trips always take more than an hour here and more than $50. I've been to several crossroads through out california, and I think this one is my favorite so far. I visited on a saturday afternoon and there wasn't as a big of a crowd, which was fantastic, no elbowing or long lines. They have a good selection of clothing, something for every style. I went specifically to look for dresses and long tops and was able to find a handful that were in style and lightly worn. The clothing here is priced between $8-$30. The front of the store has the newer, trendier, clothing. I love the clothing in the front but they were all close to $30, a little pricey for a used unknown brand. As you walk towards the back, things are coordinated by style and color. Items here are pretty much a hit or miss, I saw brands ranging from unknown, forever21, to free people. So you need to be patient and just dig. If you dig a little deeper or just having a lucky day you might even pick up something that is additionally 50% off. I scored a Fossil dress which retails for about $100 for $20 + an additional 50% off. SCORE! Overall, great environment, very clean + as organized as it can get. this location is very clean and not too congested like most consignment/thrifty store, which makes me more prone to shop while I sell my items. their target seller is someone with trendy, mainstream brands, perhaps of a more unique style. as a seller, the pay off is standard (50% in store credit or 1/3 cash back). prices are definitely more priced on the higher end than other consignment stores due to quality. tip: the worker explained why she didn't take certain items, which I thought was very considerate and thoughtful ! most places don't do that. read more

I have to say, they do have quite a selection compare to the store I visited in Irvine. Well, of course, goods come and go, so each time you visit you find different stuff. For this visit I felt the clothes are pretty unique. One suggestion for them though. It would be easier if they can sort their shoes according to sizes. And maybe shoe racks will also help customers to look for which pair to pick up and try. I was there to look for shoes. After touching more than 10 pairs of shoes, I lost interests of looking further. Who wants to touch used shoes, when 90% of them are not my size? And it's hard to see how the shoes really look like when all the shoes are on top of the racks. Again, they do have good selection, it's just frustrating to find my size shoes. I also tried to sell my stuff here, but they told me my sizes were too small. Then I guess they don't sell size 24 and 25 jeans for me either. Ppl like me spend a lot of time and money buying jeans, because they are harder to find. Now I know they are harder to sell too. What a big loss for me :P read more

EVERY time I go, I find some amazing hidden gem. Almost all my favorite items of clothing are from this crossroads, along with the majority of compliments I get on my clothes. Like every thrift store there's tons of ugly things, but the amount of awesome clothes there is insane. Things with the tags still on them sometimes, genuine leather, high end brands, & your forever 21. They've got it all. I do like this place, dont get me wrong. I found an adorable pair of black J Brand skinnies or $30!!! This is a DEFINITELY hit or miss. They can get some really cool stuff in from time to time though, just keep coming back. I don't really like they're resale policy. Only like 30% cash or 50% store credit. I usually get store credit. The girls are a bit snooty and unfocused. Once, i left my starbucks on the counter AND TOLD THEM, and when i walked out it wasnt there! I don't really understand the bad reviews of the cashiers. I went in for the first time today to sell clothes and the lady who helped me was very nice and explained to me what I needed to do. She said I had to wait about 50 minutes, which was weird considering I was one of two people on the list. When she called my name she went through my bags and accepted some of the clothes, then suggested I bring the other stuff back during fall. I also noticed all the other cashiers had pleasant demeanors. So either I just happened to come in on a good day, or there are different sales people now from the previous ones described. I love this place The clothes: (I just want to applaud all of the employees who purchase the clothing)- for a second-hand store all the clothes are great quality, in-fashion, and affordable! This store is huge and has so many different style types. It's nearly impossible to enter and not find something you like. Selling: I've came here a handful of times to sell my clothes and have always been compensated a decent amount (compared to Buffalo Exchange or Plato's Closet). Employees: As someone who has personally worked in retail- I know what it's like to work on your feet for long periods of time and have to answer a lot of questions. I definitely know how annoying it can be- that being said, whenever I come to Crossroads I'm always astonished by the amazing attitudes the employees exhibit. Johnny Martinez helped me out last time I came in and he was so attentive, knowledgable, funny, and welcoming- he really made my experience a pleasantful one. I saw him welcome other guests with the same passion he provided me with and I just wanted to give him a special recognition. A lot of people aren't aware of how much EMOTIONAL LABOR goes into being a retail or food service employee. People write reviews to complain- but often never to write the to applaud and celebrate employees. So I just wanted to thank Johnny and the rest of his staff for making my experience a great one. I do find some great things when I come here to shop. They may be a bit pricey when Styles for Less is right next door. They are organized into sections yet when you get to a section it is stuffed to the brim (you cant even move the hangars from side to side). They don't look too used but they do have a sale rack near the bags in the back. They tend not to take jewelry since "they get it new" (straight from the managers mouth) unless its a very quality piece. Designer stuff is up front behind the register and on the walls above the shirts racks. Men's section is a little small as they don't get a lot of guys selling or getting clothes in. If you are a guy, go a little more frequently as they probably get some great stuff once in a blue moon. Shoes tend to be dressier and they tend to be sizes 9 and 10 or 6 and 7. I don't know if the shoes just go that quickly or they only get women with bigger feet or smaller feet. Customer service could be better. Reluctant to greet you, no one walking around, fitting room girls tend to not make eye contact unless you are in their face. One girl on cash register and a line tends to form. She also tends to take her time. Very picky on what they buy. Of course I understand "in season" but waiting an hour and a half when they quoted me 35 min. is a bit ridiculous. They also didn't end up taking any of my stuff. "we aren't taking black! party dresses would be good for fall! we are good on t-shirts!" Who isn't looking for a good party dress right? Since when do you not take black? I also had two pairs of booties (after seeing like 10 pairs out on the floor for sale) the girl told me they werent taking those either. I saw some other people wait awhile and they didn't take anything from them either. In the end, they are ok, customer service could be way better and they could be less picky when it comes to buying. read more

I think I may be spoiled by Goodwill, but this place seems kinda expensive for used clothes. I always pay special attention to the half-off stuff which, when found, brings about much giddiness. But besides that, I do feel the prices are on the higher side of the thrift-store spectrum. But I have found some cute things and the condition of the clothes is pretty good. I wish it was as big as some of their LA locations though. OMG, the location near 3rd Street Promenade is soooo good, although prob the same size....just way more unique and interesting clothes. The ladies at the front counter were completely rude and acted as if they hated their jobs. Very bad customer service overall. I was there to sell, came in two and half hours before they closed, and they were too lazy to do their job and look through my clothes. It came to my turn and I gave them my clothes. I came back 5 minutes later and was denied selling anything. There was no way they looked through even 1/5th of the clothing. They didn't want to do their job. read more

They hardly accepts trade in clothes, shoes and purses. I brought almost my brand new Jeffrey Campbell shoes and the guy working there said its not worth much! But since I will never wear them I had it traded it anyways. The store smells, should be a lot cleaner and organized, some of the staff are kind of bitchy they must hate their jobs. I mean when entering the store there was not simple hello, but more of just eyes stares from the workers there. It really made the situation a little awkward. Just like every second hand shop - it can be hit and miss. You have to dig through store and check back for good fines, but its one of the best second hand shop around! You can find great finds from designer brands as good as Marc Jacobs! Definitely need to check it out! read more

I came in today and the place had a good buzz, but wasn't near packed with people. Nice to be able to relax and browse through the options. I ended up with an adorable pair of blue lightly worn ankle boots made by Seychelles for $18.00... Tops my brand new rollerskates that I bought for $25 at a goodwill by leaps and bounds. I googled the brand name and found they normally run $130-200 a pair. :) LOVE IT. read more

This is my favorite used clothing store! I always end up walking out with 4-5 things, for around $40. Some of the clothes still have new tags on them. I can see myself wearing 75% of the clothes in there, that's how great the selection is (which is hard to say for any other type of used clothing store). I like how everything is divided into colors, most of the sizes fit me too, lots of petites as well. I don't have great luck with shoes however. I have bought tons of tops, shorts, dresses. I haven't taking my old clothes to re-sell them, but they do have that option. read more

Seriously, this place is SOO MUCCHHH MORE superior than Buffalo Exchange! I walked in and wasn't sure how their selling policy works, so I asked the girl behind the counter for more information. She was helpful and genuninely nice (always a plus in my book) and when it was my turn, she actually talked to me during the whole transaction (unlike at Buffalo Exchange, where they act so snobby!). This place is a great place to find designer clothing items for a very reasonable price. Some items are brand new and others are recycled. I have found lots of cute summer dresses and a pair of Steve Madden wedges for $20! The lines can be long and they are extremely selective about the clothes that they will trade you... But overall it is a great little place to shop. read more

Looks really nice inside, the workers are polite and friendly. I think they should make brighter or larger signs for the sizes but over all really organized. Also put a section for clearance Items or half off items. Should have a discount card, when you spend a certain amount of money they should get a discount on their next purchase, bet many customers would love that and keep coming back. read more
