Love it! Even though I like OCD like piles of books (I think the crazy pack rat stacks show how much you love them). I like that this place isn't overly packed and confusing. I always find something I enjoy when I visit. The trouble is not leaving with a huge pile when I only want one or two books for the trip. Anyway, love it! read more

I stopped by here to see if they had a used travel guide for the area while I was on my way to dinner. The owner helped me to find exactly what I needed, and then when I asked about the rather cool crow bumper stickers there he gave me one with my book! The book shop had a very comfy vibe, but was also cleaner, better lit, and less cluttered than most used book shops I've been to. This bookstore saved me a lot of money in college. I needed a lot of smaller paperbacks, and Crow generally managed to have just what I needed in stock. Along with the little paperbacks, they stock a healthy selection of text books, et al. Fairly priced, I've never encountered a negative employee. I'd definitely recommend it. read more

This is a cute little bookshop and seemed to have a decent selection of both new and used books. I did feel like I was being leered at by the guy behind the counter as I looked at books, which definitely lowered my enjoyment of looking around. This is a perfect small-town, locally-owned used bookstore. It's flawlessly organized, each section is well-represented, there is always great music playing over the speakers, the staff is friendly, and the prices are fair. Of course I wish it was bigger, but considering the ridiculously high rent prices on Church Street, I can't complain about anything the store can afford to give us. I've seen so many used (and new) book stores close down over the years; it speaks volumes that this one is still around. Skip Borders and go to the Crow. read more

I was on vacation in Burlington for about a week and ended up in Crow at least twice... I bought 4 books there. I just love little locally owned bookshops! The clerk was very nice, and actually found a used book to replace the new one I had picked up - saved me a few bucks! The atmosphere is so cozy; I could browse for hours. Great music playing, but not loudly. A really interesting selection of books. I will definitely go again next time I'm in town! read more

This gorgeous little shop on Church Street is one of my favorites -- though they don't always have what you came in looking for, they do always have something interesting that will catch your attention. The books are in good shape, relatively inexpensive, and there are a wide variety of genres to choose from; some favorites include theology/religion and the extensive literature section. read more

This is the last used bookstore standing in downtown Burlington. The Crow has a great selection of used and publishers' remainder books in exceptional condition. They also have a new book section that features NYT bestsellers and often books mentioned on NPR. I've always left with something I feel good about. The small staff all seem to be book lovers too, which is a plus! read more

They still have bookstores like this, a quiet oasis overflowing with books, intelligently grouped by subject area; a literate owner & staff who read and are manifestly passionate about their books. Browsing is encouraged BEWARE it's hard to visit without buying more books. Although technically used volumes; they're in good shape and many are near mint. read more

Ahhhhhh. I didn't realize that in this crazy technology based day and age that bookstores like this still existed! I always have to set aside at least an hour when I browse here because I just get lost in how cozy and warm this shop is. The employees are ridiculously nice and always have some good recommendations- especially since some of the books they have recommended wouldn't have been my first choice but I have never been disappointed! The pricing here is beyond fair and there is a nice mix of new and used books. I also really enjoy the local book section. There are always really great Vermont hiking trail books and books written by Vermont authors. Do yourself a favor when you visit and check Crow out! Nice little reprise for a hectic day. read more
