I'll give Crown Barber four stars it's a pretty nice want a problem fixed you'll get treated with daggers in your back and the owners minions will attack you... I made a phone call to get the situation resolved and was treated disrespectfully I went in disrespected I had to yell at the person on the phone to get them to listen they hung up on me hahaha I mean come on they cut hair.. the owner was very rude... look on their Facebook she dares people to yelp away... she doesn't care... must be the fluoride in the water... can't give 5 stars read more

You might be thinking, why is a GIRL reviewing a barber shop? Well, in the summer of 2006 while on vacation in San Diego with my family, my brother was in dire need of a haircut and figured he could get one while we were on vacation, since he could honestly care less who touches his hair as long as it's to his liking. My parents and I just sat around and waited for him, and the great part was that it wasn't boring--one of the barbers who wasn't busy came over and made conversation with my parents and me, and the paraphernalia on the walls was interesting to read--in the shop I discovered something absolutely hilarious; a picture of with George Washington with a crew cut--the caption read "Keep America beautiful, get a haircut." I thought this was funny because BLue hair studio (see the 2nd review I've ever written) is housed in a building that dates back to the 18th century when it was an inn where Martha Washington often stayed. Now if I could only get my hands on a replica of that picture to give to the owner of BLue, given its historical background... read more

I have been going to Crown Barber Shop for several years and love it. Myra does an excellent job at cutting my hair. I have been to other places and their hair cuts didn't seem to measure up. Ususally lop sided side burns, etc. Great service for about the same price as most other places. read more

Place is a bit old, dingy, and run down. No a/c, and was unpleasantly warm in the middle of October. I would hate to be in there in July or August. Place is also a day care center for one of the cutter's young children, who was screaming and crying at the top of his lungs the entire time I was waiting and for part of my haircut. My cutter tried to just do the sides and bottom and send me on my way. I had to ask him to trim and shape the top as well. I have to wait while he runs around the block to coin his parking meter. No signs for the cost of the cut, no sign stating no credit cards, cash only. I think I paid $20 for a $9 dollar hair cut (heard another cutter mention $9 for a cut), as my cutter just took the twenty and said thanks with no offer of any change. With the heat and the screaming I just wanted to get the heck out of there and never come back. read more
