When I realized half way through the service that I had no cash (they only accept cash), they had no problem with me walking a block and a half away to the nearest ATM. Came to this barber shop to bring my son for the very first time the kind lady that greeted us said it was ok to wait inside we just had to take our temperature. We have been to numerous barbers over the years and we had finally found one who cut our sons hair the way we liked. Then that barber was no longer available. The staff is wonderful and the atmosphere is to die for on the coveted island of Coronado. So don't forget it like I did. I suggest that the owner (s) claim your business page and start interacting with the Yelpers that love your shop. There are a couple of Spanish speaking ladies that speak decent English and a younger kid that speaks great English from what I experienced. They all cut hair pretty well. Here in Coronado on vacation, needed a trim and visited here based on Yelpers' strong recommendations. I can confirm this is a very friendly, family owned business that does an expert job, takes their time and, in a town not exactly known for bargains does it all at a very reasonable price. I received a haircut and beard trim for only $27 and was in the chair for over 30 minutes. Never felt rushed or anything other than a valued customer. While I can't say I'll be back to Coronado every time I need a haircut (I wish!), if my bushy mane is in need of taming the next time I'm on the island I won't hesitate to return to Coronado Barbers. The shop is owned by a nice couple. My husband first met Maggie (the wife) when he was in the Navy and she worked for another barber shop. He left the Navy and continued to get his haircut in Coronado; it has been 15 years since he started getting his haircut by Maggie. She opened this location with her husband. I am always amazed at the awesome haircut and I can tell when someone other than Maggie cuts his hair. The whole family is very pleasant and it can get busy in the mornings but sometimes I bring our dogs and walk them while my hubby waits for Maggie. The prices are unbeatable and we always call ahead to make sure Maggie is there. You feel comfortable here and they are always friendly to my doggies. :) read more

I've been going to Jaime and Maggie for about 12 years...they really know how to cut my hair the way it looks best...I've changed my style a few times throughout the years and they never disappoint with giving me a great haircut. Maggie and Jaime are some of the finest and nicest people you'll meet in Coronado, they have great energy and their service is outstanding, I've also been helped by the other lady and another barber and they both have done a great job. I really enjoy talking to Maggie and Jaime and I consider them trustworthy and hardworking friends, they remind me to my uncle and aunt in Mexico, good peeps no doubt. I've gone to Floyds in downtown and I was just disappointed. Coronado Barbers are definitely the best place for haircuts. I've seen people of all ages and males and females, Maggie can make the ladies look good. Got a pretty good hair cut from a female in her 20s. She was really nice and cut it exactly how I said. Some places I have gone in the past have trouble with that. Everyone else seemed to be friendly. You have to pay for a meter to park around that area but most people are familiar with that. I went in the morning so there was no line which was nice. I am pretty picky about my hair and my job requires I give interviews to news teams several times a year. Finally a friend introduced me to this place about 10 years ago and I haven't left. They are always attentive, accommodating and give a great haircut. I have walked in at closing time (having forgotten they close earlier on the weekends) and they were happy to take me even though it meant they stayed beyond their normal posted hours. I'm not much of a chit chat person and while they talk with other clients as they cut their hair, they respect me enough to not make small talk. I close my eyes and before long I'm done. Also, I can get a quick trim before a meeting because they not only brush the hair off of you, they use a vacuum cleaner to make sure all the hair is off your head and neck. Great place. The shop has plenty of magazines to gander at a flat screen TV so you can catch a game or show if you are waiting. Conveniently placed on the wall you will see pictures of a variety of hair cuts so you can tell the barber what you would perfer through a visual aid.
