The space has great vibes, easy parking, and just feels cool the second you walk in. Leo's attention to detail is next level. He treats every cut like a project. Not just a quick appointment, but something we're building and refining over time. He listens, makes adjustments, and genuinely cares about the end result. I brought my dad with us and Hudson and Grandpa ended up playing chess while we were there. They even have a little chess club vibe going on. Probably the best barber shop I found in San Diego. The service here is great. Every barber is friendly and welcoming. My gf and I bring our son here. Kevin cuts his hair and it looks great each time. He takes his time and converses with my 7 year old. Kevin ask the style he wants done and never fails to exceed a perfect quality cut. I go to have Kevin give me a refresh on much cut every month! It's been hard for me to find a place i done mind returning to get my cut. They are a bit on the pricy side at $40 for men's cuts, so that's why i only go once a month. If it was cheaper, I'd do what i did in the military and get my cut twice a month. Even though i still don't like going so long between cuts, this is just where i am going. I do like that they offer you a complimentary drink while you wait. First time getting a service from a barbershop. Bryan was very detailed and took his time on my face. I usually get a facial to get my face dermaplaned and all the dead skin off but I couldn't get in for a sooner date. Bryan was able to do a hot towel shave on me and it was very relaxing. This review has been in the making for over a month now. Reason being is I'm a reservist for the military so I got the haircut after a UTA weekend. Wanted to upload this after it went well the following month and wasn't out of regs with the bangs but it actually worked out well!!! Everyone at work loved it and I have received SOO many compliments I asked G to surprise me and he sure did!!! I have very thick hair and he knew how to work it. Drove 30 miles to get a cut here, only to find out they forgot to close the online booking and there wasn't a barber available to give me a cut. Had I known sooner I would have been able to book elsewhere. I couldn't find one other place open on a Sunday to pivot to after being turned away and was out of luck. What pissed me off also is that I had a missed call while driving. No voicemail so I presumed it was spam. Then I googled it after my experience at the shop and sure enough, MFer from the shop called me but didn't leave a message at all. What's the point of going halfway to the trouble and not leaving a message? Needless to say it was a lost morning for me and a complete waste of my time and now I need to book elsewhere this week and not have a cut for when I needed it. Location, location, location! This smack dab in the middle of South Park so perfect location to start off your day. Parking is very limited, but a lot of streets to go up and down. Coffee shop next door, bars across the street, eateries at the end of the block, and even Target a few blocks down! The barbers and owner here are super friendly & respectful. Whatever vibe you prefer, they're there to provide. I've came in wanting to shoot the shit and they've had plenty to speak about. Other times I just wanted to chill and was offered a water, some Jame-O, or a beer; most definitely took the latter. Music ranges here, but always the right music. I spoke about everything except the cuts, well that's because I've never had to complain. My current go to barber here is Laurentino and he always cleans me up & doesn't waste time. Every time I've walked out, I've had at minimum 1 compliment for my haircut the same day. Compliments are steady afterwards as well. I'm not going to lie about the price it's $40. Paying for the aesthetics, location, and talent. For the places I've been getting cuts in San Diego that is the norm. I'm still coming back here and not complaining on price for a reason. Overall 5 stars due to quality, location, and the down-to-Earth vibes. Highly recommend if you need a new barber. read more

First off I'd like to give a BIG THANKS to JAC !!! My son and I were in the area and we happened to walk by this barbershop. I stopped and asked the gentleman in the front of the shop "Giacomo" who had just been taking a quick break" to look at my sons haircut that was just done 2 days ago. I showed him were the other shop had messed up his hair and asked if there was any possibility his hair could be fixed. He repaid with confidence "they could definitely fix it". So the gentleman then walked inside asked JAC if he could help us as he was finishing up his client. He replied definitely. Looked at my sons hair gave him a few options and began fixing his hair . I'm very thankful that he took the time to fix my sons haircut as it wasn't an easy fix . He pulled it off like a champ. Both my son and I loved it . We both will be coming here again . I have tried Inglorious on several occasions and have had mixed interactions. I have gotten cuts by almost every barber in the place and they do a pretty good job. The issue is the scheduling/wait times. I always schedule an appointment and have never been seen on time. Sometimes the wait can be up to 45 minutes past your scheduled appointment. I understand life happens and from time to time you can get backed up, but customers should not have to experience this every time they come to your establishment. Since I had to many negative experiences, I have since taken my business to other barbers in the area. read more

I'm so glad I gave this new barbershop in South Park a try. Blacktree has warm, inviting, and a damn serious barbers. Pricing is typical at $25 for any men's haircuts. Old School to New Styles they can do it all. They also offer mustache grooming services and hot towel shaves. The space is well designed and feels like a living room with a relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel at home. I even had some beer while the cut before me was finishing up. Then I sat in the chair.
