The showroom was full of choices and Willy and Bev were extremely knowledgeable about the products and even details about the fibers etc. They helped us to make choice that fit our quality standards and budget and best of all, they arranged to have the carpet installed within 10 days in time for some visitors to stay at our home. Made my first visit to Crown Floors Chantilly by Rt-50 today (Sat, 2/8) per recommendation from my contractor. There is a great deal of collection in this store but with a sloppy customer service, I wonder how they even do the business. My intention was to buy Bruce solid hardwood flooring for nearly a 1000 sqft for my new home. Having waited for nearly 30 minutes, we came back with frustration. I approached the front desk guy twice but showed almost no interest talking to us. Not sure if we reminded him of any bad customers but it was a horrible experience for me and my wife. Will never go there :( read more

Well, after much research, pouring over reviews of local flooring companies, getting competing quotes, and looking into Lowes & Home Depot, CROWN FLOORS won out in all of my 4 categories. The quote was the most competative without any going back and forth (apples-to-apples comparison with same carpet and hardwood selected), very pleasant dealing directly with the owner, quality workmanship, and very prompt installation! Trust me, I did a lot of research and found Crown Floors to be the way to go... Save yourself the hassle and headache and just go there first! read more

We had been heavily considering Home Depot for carpet since they were doing their free installation, free stairs, free furniture moving, etc. deal. We identified what we were going to get at HD and then rolled over to Crown cause two friends had highly recommended them. We were not disappointed. Willy was very knowledgeable on the carpet types and helped guide us to a comparable scenario. We paid a few hundred dollars more than we would at HD, but got a better carpet type, and the benefit of having the same company 1) sell us the carpet, 2) install the carpet, and 3) ensure the job was done to our satisfaction. The other thing we really liked was Crown didn't nickel and dime. All the stuff that HD was offering us for "free" is standard service at Crown and included in the price per sq/ft (old carpet removal, stairs, furniture moving, etc.). The installers were great and diligently ensured to put screws in the sub floor in as many places as possible to minimize squeaking, and to tuck ethernet wire we had running along the baseboards back behind the new carpet. First, allow me to share that I had been to the big box stores. But they couldn't answer any questions on installation other than generic and apparently asking them about my furniture was too much for them to know. They also charged me $35 for an estimate and this person who did the estimate couldn't answer any questions period! After discussing this with my husband we decided we had to keep looking. My husband and I decided to try Crown Floors on a Saturday. The woman was most helpful answering all our questions and showing me different options. They did not charge for estimates and we set one up. As we left the store my husband said to me that he liked the fact that they knew their products, they could answer our questions and they install carpet all day and this is their line of work, vs Home Depot/Lowes and you don't know who is doing the installation and neither do they apparently when asked. Crown also allowed us to take home some samples to see our choices in our home. Wow, what a difference that made. We ended up going with a choice that wasn't our first choice. The estimate was done as asked and we moved forward. They arrived on time, did a great job and cleaned up after themselves which was appreciated. During the installation, the owner stopped by and checked on the men. We discussed my choice and he asked if I still liked it but now I LOVED it. We choose to do the stairs and 2nd floor right now. The 3rd floor by end of year. That is another thing they allowed us to do that the big box stores would not. So of course, we will be using them again for the 3rd floor and I would use them again for any flooring needs. I was very pleased all around and I would highly recommend them. After a lot of web based research (Mohawk vs. Shaw) on carpet and quotes from Empire, Costco and 1 other locally owned flooring shop in Chantilly we went with Crown and the Mohawk smart-strand brand. We also selected the highest end padding from Mohawk. I have to say Willy A. the store manager was helpful, knowledgeable and patient as I carried sample boards home and sorted out styles and colors. His prices were the best prices over all the other quotes (and I worked to get quotes that were as close to an apple-to-apple comparison!) They also did a small vinyl job and many firms do not do or want to do vinyl flooring so that avoided us having to go to another firm for the vinyl replacement, who likely wouldn't want to do such a small job! The install crew that came was friendly, professional and did really good work. Overall doing a whole house carpet replacement is an expensive update and we are really pleased with Crown Floors. read more

Willy was also very helpful- showing us carpets for our needs and budget. We found the pricing to be about the same as the big box store, but installation was faster and hassle-free (I feared having to deal with the subcontractors of the big box store). Then Willy came to measure three locations in our house where we wanted to replace the carpet. He was quick and nice to deal with as well. The two men who came to install the carpet were so efficient and did a fantastic job. Willy and his team did a great job. I'm very happy with the finished product. His pricing was fair and he crushed Empire's price without even knowing their quote. My experiences: I stop by the store on a Thursday afternoon. Willy greeted me as soon as I walked in. I gave him a rough estimate of the area I wanted done. He gave me an honest quote but said he wanted to stop by and measure before giving me an official price, then told me he would be over something during the weekend. He never showed up nor called so normally my experience would have ended there but, his quote was so good I decided to stop back the store again Monday morning. After speaking with him, he admitted his mistake and we rescheduled for Wednesday. The measuring took less then 10 minutes and we found out I was a good 60sq-ft short on my estimate but his price was fairly close to his original quote. I paid in full and told him it needed to be done the next day. A two man team arrive on time in a van labeled with Crown Floors on the side. Both men were professional and completed the work in under 3 hours. A solid 4 stars! read more

I will not be purchasing our carpet from crown!!! They are 100% shady and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone! We went in there on a Saturday and there was only 1 person working. He didn't come check on us until we had been there almost 30 minutes. We are looking to carpet a small room in our house and were told that because we are not at their minimum (40 yards) we had to pay $120 fee to do the smaller room. However, when we went back a week later, we were told by another employee that the fee for a smaller room (less than 30 yards) was $90. During our second visit I asked who would lay the carpet, and the answer I got was "we do." However, in the next sentence he said "If you want to know if it's a contractor, it is. But, he has been working with us for a long time." This place is shady! They change answers in the next sentence, and good luck getting the same price if you go in twice! I will not return to this store!! read more
