I recently had LVP flooring installed in much of me three-level townhouse and it looks great including the stairs and landings. American Carpet & Rug were excellent to work with when we decided to update the flooring on the main level of our house. The gentlemen in the showroom talked through our options in hardwood flooring and luxury vinyl. They politely answered all our questions. They didn't try to steer us to buying hardwood flooring, but agreed that it was a better choice than vinyl when we decided to place hardwood in much of the house. Installation took place a few weeks after we placed the order and was completed in only two days. The installers were friendly and worked quickly. American Carpet under the direction of Hossein just completed an installation of large 2 x 2 tile in our kitchen. We are extremely pleased with the results. Hossein came every day during the installation time to make sure we were happy with the process. The workmen worked very hard on a difficult job, and the quality of the finished product is excellent. the craftsman were courteous and very willing to help me move some heavy objects and assist me as I cut off half an inch on the pantry doors to accommodate the additional height of the tile. This is the second job that American Carpet and Floor has done for us, and it was our experience with the first that led us to seek out their help on the second job. read more

We noticed some water damage on our brand new carpet in our newly purchased home and were definitely feeling a bit bummed. We needed to pull back the carpet to see where the water was coming from, but weren't sure how to go about it. I called a few places and was so lucky to have Hossein pick up at American Carpet & Flooring. He was so kind to walk me through how to pull up the carpet and get rid of the water logged padding. I was feeling beyond discouraged before our call and felt empowered and like everything would be all right after! We ended up finding the source of the water (leaking HVAC), drying everything, and then Hossein sent a team to replace the padding and relay the carpet. All in all a fantastic experience. My wife and I just bought new carpet and had a wonderful experience. We had originally looked at sully, which has a gorgeous showroom, but price reflected it. We ended up getting a pretty standard Mohawk carpet upon Hossein's recommendation and love it and loved the cost. Hossein was very helpful and accommodating, and his installation team was first rate. He has used the same team for years and it shows in their ability. They were on time and took the morning to do about 1000 sq ft. Very friendly and did a great job. We have used American Carpet shop in the middle of Herndon for about 25 years.The very first time was when I needed to have new carpet put in a rental townhouse I had. There was some communication error and the wrong grade was installed. Hossein (the owner) was right on top of it and made a "could have been bad" situation correct for us. I since have had hardwood floors done in several rooms and many carpet installations. Always done perfectly. We also from time to time get a new oriental rug for our foyer. He has a good selection. Okay, so I went to the store to inquire about carpet installation. The owner greeted us nicely at first, but after a few questions, he lost his patience and told us we were in the wrong place and walked away. At first he told us that he doesn't sell cheap polyester, then he tried to show us samples of it and tried to sell us a deal on it. Turns out that his price was double what Carpet One quoted me on a nylon carpet from Mohawk, so I took the deal with Carpet One. After the reviews here, I never expected to be treated like a third class citizen at American Carpet & Rug, but I'm glad it happened at the store because you can imagine what would have happened if there was a disagreement during or after the job. read more

All were super professional and a delight to deal with. they made what one would consider an harduous process- replacing all the carpeting in the house plus adding wood on the stairs and landing upstairs- much easier than expected. I don't know where to begin as the experience that I have had with this Company has been one I have not had in my whole life. My house was torn upside down. My husband lost his hearing aids and Housein, the owner said it was not their responsibility. Everything I tried to discuss with him he denied. I told him that the men left the old padding on our steps and in our closets and we told the guys and they did not even pay attention to us. The owner said well we will come out and correct it. Why do they need to come out and correct it when it should have been done correctly to begin with. My mini blind that Next Day Blinds installed were bent because the men put furniture on them. They broke shelves in my closets. I ask that he take responsibility for the hearing aids he said he would not. I stopped payment on the check as I called him and never got a return call. The owner said he never got the call. You cannot win with this man. I suggest you find another place to do business with. It just is not worth it. He said he would put a lean on my house. This man will not take responsibility for anything. He denies everything. My suggestion for anyone is to just find another flooring place.
