Variety of take out dishes. Everything here is from Crown Palace except the soup in the middle, and the bread.

This is a solid place for dim sum including the carts of food that you can pick from on weekends. The shortcoming is largely on service - while the carts came by regularly, we had a hard time getting table service. Surprisingly not hard to get seating for a group of 12 at peak time on the weekend. I think if they step up their game on service they should be able to attract more customers.

When we got yo the restaurant, with a reservation on December 25, 2025, a party of 8, we only waited 30 minutes for our table. When we were seated at a round table, the chairs were very low compared to the height of the table. I felt like I needed a booster seat. We asked to be changed to another table but were not accommodated. When we ordered our drinks, I asked for a frozen daiquiri. The waiter came back and said they cannot make it. For 8 of us, we ordered soup, 4 egg rolls and 2 portions of spareribs. All came out delicious. We then ordered 2 shrimp with lobster sauce, steamed beef and vegetables, fried rice. The food was cold! When we called to make a reservation, they told us that 7:00 was available, so we took it. Now comes the interesting part. By 8:30 the restaurant was just about cleared out and we were just ordering our dessert. They started washing the floors by us with ammonia! I don't care if they clean the tables and start to reset them for the next day, but floors with a mop and ammonia? I know it was a holiday week and they were busy and overworked so I will probably give them another chance.

Looks good from the outside, but, unfortunately, pretty average dim sum on the inside. We decided to hit up Crown Palace at around 11:30 AM on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend and, as expected for a dim sum restaurant, it was pretty busy inside. The crowded parking lot made it seem more busier than it actually was though, but we were able to easily secure a table inside. By the time we arrived, the main dining room was at capacity so we were seated in the, I guess you can say, side dining room. There were plenty of tables open there and it continued to be as we dined here up until 1 PM. If you love the old school dim sum experience, you'll find it here with the dim sum carts, however, you won't find elderly ladies pushing them around, but, oddly....young men???? There's always a first for everything. Immediately upon seating we were already bombarded with dim sum carts and waiters carrying trays of dim sum asking us if we wanted to order the items they were walking around with. A lot of the typical dim sum favorites were available, but we also noticed some that weren't. We ordered and tried the har gao/shrimp dumplings, roast pork rice rolls, chicken feet, siu mai/pork dumplings, sticky rice with chicken, turnip cake, steamed pork ribs, fried dumplings, mini egg tarts and coconut jelly. However, we didn't see pork and chive dumplings, spring rolls (YES we need spring rolls!) or sponge cake. I have to admit, we were already stuffed beyond our limits, but since it was our first time here we probably would have ordered those other dishes if we saw them going around. Unfortunately, every dish was rather average and nothing really stood out. Not to say it was bad by any means, but it wasn't mind-blowingly the best dim sum food or experience we ever had. It was just solid, average. We always love trying new dim sum restaurants, especially in NJ since they are so far and few in between. Crown Palace serves everything most dim sum diners would want, but for a dim sum snob like me I felt it was a bit lacking.

I came here for Dim Sum on a Sunday morning. Its certainly a popular spot on the weekend. The tables were constantly full and rotating with new patrons. We got here on the earlier side around 11:30, so had a nice table with a window view of the back patio. It was a bit of a chaotic experience with a restaurant full of people an date staff maneuvering around Dim Sum carts. They didn't really explain what was on the carts. Fortunately, we had a Chinese friend with us who was able to navigate the lunch and ordered all of our items for us. Unfortunately, I can't tell you the proper name of any of the items we ate. But, I really enjoyed the round fish balls as well as one of the tofu dishes. It was a fun experience. The food, overall, was good.

Long gone are the days of high quality Chinese at Crown Palace. Since Covid I have noticed a steady decline in the quality and care at Crown Palace. I have had dishes prepared incorrectly, poor service, dirty plates, and cold food. Full disclosure I have been eating with Crown Palace for over 40 years dating back to the Amboy Road location on Staten Island. Tonight was the last straw as all the appetizers were served cold. It breaks my heart but I can no longer recommend Crown Palace.

Been coming to Crown Palace for years and if you are looking for good dim sum--this is the place to go to! This location is a little far for me but when I'm in the area and I def stop by! Love the ribs, siomai, shrimp bacon, rice noodles, and sticky rice. Service is always great! And if you are ever looking for something--just ask one of the waiters and they will bring it out for you! Also love the tofu pudding and egg custards! There is always a wait so you know it's worth the visit!

I came on a Saturday around noon and it was pretty packed in here - I had to wait around 6 min for a table for 3 Would say a few things - if you want to get dim sum, going for lunch is the best time to go - this is a classic dim sum place - Dim lighting, cloth table sheets - if you haven't been to a din sum place and you're here soecificallly for the dim sum, there isn't really a menu. There are a lot of waiters who bring out the fresh food in carts and you need to order as they pass by -any of the servers will straight up speak canto - not all of them can speak fluent English or even mandarin so you need to 1. Bring a friend who can order for you all or 2. Be okay with pointing and trying the items -there is a huge dimsum place in Philly that serves a lot of dim sum but this place is smaller so it is more orderly and cleaner in comparison - there is a small Asian garden outside in the back of the restaurant! Would suggest taking the time to make a few quick steps - they also prefer cash over card so if you can, bring cash

This is how our lunch was served to us. So sloppy.

Very happy to have a Hong Kong style Cha Chan Tang restaurant right here in Edison, NJ. While there are a few places in NYC, its nice to see Jersey finally get one too. The stars if today were the appetizer dishes. The rice noodles with the special peanut sauce was 100% the best and exactly what you'd expect when you order that dish. The squid and popcorn chicken were both amazing and fried lightly but with a great crispy texture. The small pineapple bun with butter was delicious. We actually had it as a starter and again for dessert. While we loved the apps, the baked rice with pork chop and pepper steak rice bowls were just ok. They weren't amazingly flavorful, but they were still tasty with heavy portions so the value was there. We had HK style milk tea and topped off our meal with their special creamy french toast. Overall we left overly full and didn't have to pay too much. Wow Cafe is very affordable and the staff is very friendly and fast to cater to your needs. It may not look like much on the outside, but the food definitely brings me back and hits the spot!
