Had a great Saturday night out with some friends. I made a reservation online since I'd heard this place can get pretty busy, and I was definitely glad I did! The place was buzzing when we arrived. We were seated in the bar area after a short wait, and I had some time to enjoy the nautical artwork and decor while we waited. The menu had a solid mix of seafood and a few land-based options. After debating between a few choices, I went with a small Caesar salad to start and shrimp fra diavolo for my main. The salad was fresh and crisp, with crunchy lettuce, shaved Parmesan, and croutons--definitely a good start. The shrimp fra diavolo, however, was just okay. The sauce had a nice little kick, but the pasta and shrimp didn't really impress. The shrimp, in particular, were a bit rubbery, and I ended up leaving some behind. With so many great seafood spots in our little state, I'm not sure I'd order that dish again. That said, others at the table seemed to enjoy their meals, so I'd consider coming back to try something else. Service was top-notch, especially given how busy they were. Charlene, our waitress, kept our drinks full and made sure our apps and entrees came out quickly. She was friendly and upbeat, making sure we felt well taken care of the whole time. She even offered to split the bill for us right from the start, which made things super smooth. The parking situation, though, was a bit of a headache. The lot was packed when we got there, and we even saw a car with Pennsylvania plates get a call to move before it was towed. In this day and age of food savvy customers...This restaurant is an antique relic of the way things use to be done. Low quality dishes to feed the masses.Even back in the day there were better choices when it comes to dining out. Most people who frequent the Crows Nest don't know what good food is suppose to taste like... The other poor folks are to old to care! It was never my favorite place...Ended up there today due to a family member that wanted something close by. Nobody in our party was impressed with the quality of the food that was served. Wait staff was OK though. Everything that was served to us was frozen seafood that Sysco delivers to restaurants. This is not local FRESH seafood at all. Trust me! Seafood was as low quality & as one would expect at say a VFW hall. Just sloppy low quality fare. Portions are small as well. There is MUCH better food to be had in R.I. The Crow's Nest in Warwick delivered a genuinely enjoyable dining experience. The restaurant was clean, casual, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. We were greeted by Sara, who was cheerful, sweet, and set a great tone for the evening. For starters, we ordered the Point Judith fried calamari with banana peppers -- perfectly cooked and very tasty. We also tried a few oysters on the half shell. They were on the smaller side but still fresh and delicious. For dinner, I went with the clam chowder and a half lobster roll, while my wife had the clam cakes and chowder. Both meals were flavorful, hearty, and filling. Portions were generous without feeling overdone. Parking was plentiful, which made the visit even easier. Overall, The Crow's Nest is a great spot for a relaxed, satisfying meal. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Rhode Island. read more

We had such a great dinner at Crow's Nest -- this place knows what they're doing! We started with the sautéed mushrooms, and they were packed with flavor. The oysters were fresh and delicious -- no fishy taste, just clean and briny the way they should be. I had the lobster mac and cheese, and wow -- they don't skimp on the lobster! Big, juicy chunks mixed into creamy, cheesy pasta... perfection. Ralph had the tuna, cooked just right and full of flavor. Now let's talk dessert -- the key lime pie was tart and refreshing, and the hot chocolate brownie with ice cream was rich, gooey, and just what you'd want to end a meal. We recently took a friend out to lunch with her daughter because it was her 96th birthday and the Crow's Nest use to be her favorite restaurant but she hadn't been in a while due to health issues and wondered if it was still a good place to eat. It was better than that. Both the food AND the the service were GREAT. Tara (our server) was fantastic - friendly, professional, knowledgeable and just an overall nice person. The birthday girl's lobster roll was " mouth watering" in her words. The window seat was perfect and although we had a lot of catching up to do, no one rushed us especially when the staff brought her a nice small cake with a candle and sang Happy Birthday to her along with most of the restaurant! We recently celebrated my father-in-law's birthday at Crow's Nest, and it was the perfect place for such a special occasion. We had a pretty large group, and despite the crowd, the service was absolutely amazing. The staff handled everything with professionalism, patience, and such a welcoming attitude. Our food came out promptly -- which is impressive with a big party -- and everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. No one at the table had a complaint! From start to finish, the experience felt smooth and well-coordinated. It's not easy to deliver great service and quality food when managing a large group, but they truly exceeded expectations. I recently visited for the first time, and I was impressed by the ambiance and the level of service; it's a clean and inviting place. However, I found the clam chowder to be quite disappointing. Instead of the rich, creamy flavor I expected, it tasted more like chicken pot pie soup with clams, which was not what I had hoped for. On a positive note, the clam cakes were a highlight--delicious and fluffy! Unfortunately, the oysters also fell short, as they were not properly shucked and lacked their brine; if you like oysters it's all about the brine. Overall, I would consider giving this place another shot but would definitely opt for different menu items next time. read more

This was my first time trying Crow's Nest and I loved it! Everything from the ambiance and food to the service and hospitality was AMAZING! My boyfriend and I went in for lunch. We tried the oysters and the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer, they tasted fresh and very flavorful. For entrees I got the lobster Mac and cheese and my boyfriend got the baked seafood platter. Both dishes were perfect. The portions were pretty big and were seasoned perfectly. The drinks were phenomenal as well. The service was impeccable and every member of the staff made us feel welcomed and taken care of. If you have not been to crows nest yet I totally recommend going!! read more

Clams were very soggy and the fries tasted old and were extremely greasy. The server was great but when we asked to bring the manager over to talk about the food quality, the manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. I kept apologizing for complaining and she had rolled her eyes at me and was beyond rude. I will not be returning and will make sure to tell others of this experience. I understand being a manager is a stressful job, but in no way should you take that out on the guest. She needs to either retire from the industry or take an etiquette class or simply have a little discretion. read more

Amazingly great food! Lovely location next to the Ponaug Marina. Enjoyed a great New England seafood meal with my family. I live in England but I'm from Rhode Island and you can't beat the seafood you get here, and it was perfect at The Crows Nest. The service was excellent. We had an excellent dinner on Saturday night. We both ordered the baked scallops and they were excellent! We also picked 2 sides (baked potatoes and coleslaw) which were delicious. Our server, Alexa, was attentive and friendly. The food was very reasonably priced and the atmosphere was waterfront casual. The place was jammed, so parking took a little patience, but so worth it. Definitely loved it here. I had the fried clam platter and it was Amazing. Huge portions and was tender and fresh. So, go here hungry. The platters come with chowder or salad and a vegetable or side potato. The clam chowder was excellent, and my daughter had a half of a lobster roll and she loved it. Prices are exceptionally fair, $17 for a clam plate with soup and sides, and bread is a deal. read more

Came in after the rain storm, sat outside at the bar and had a great time. Suzie was our bartender/server and she was amazing. Very funny and understanding. We will definitely be back. pulled pork nachos had a bite of pulled pork on a large platter. :( raw bar was good. A lot of money for a tenth of a pound of spaghetti....i mean, spagetti costs $1.00 a pound. i took the jalapenos and tomatoes off the nachos to spice up the spaghetti and clams because there wasn't much flavor. Almost walked out because the wait was an hour. The hostess said we could eat at the bar. A passing waitress said why not try the new outside bar. Outside was what we really wanted. It was beautiful. Michaels's service was great. It wasn't crowded, the seats were comfortable, water view. I might bypass the hostess desk and eat there from now on. read more

This is my favorite place for seafood! Family owned with such a wonderful staff. Always have good service, never an unreasonable wait, and I've never had a bad meal here!
