This is my first time here. My friend has gone for years and I wanted to try it. We were greeted promptly and sat at a table . We were early so there were only 2 other people there. It's a charming family place and I can see why it's so popular. We were brought a basket of Italian bread with butter. The bread was cold, as was the butter, and it was slightly stale. Stick to the chicken and eggplant parm because those are definitely delicious. I thought I would try to be a little bit more healthy, and order the baked seafood platter. It was okay... but the stuffed shrimp was not very good. The stuffing wasn't too tasty or appealing, and the shrimp did not seem to go all the way under the stuffing. It was more like regular sized shrimp trying to be passed off as large shrimp. For the price, it was extremely disappointing. They were very generous with the bay scallops though. It's just not the place I would go to in the future for seafood. Great spot for lunch, dinner, takeout or catering. An absolute clone of Uncle Tony's, from the menu to the recipes, the bread, the items, every single thing you loved there is here at Rigatoni's. So if you miss the Cranston location, it's about 15 minutes or so to get the same thing here, without any of the issues. I love the meatball and the chicken parm sandwiches. I love the garlic bread. The pizza is also great. Parking is occasionally a thing, but overall, this is an excellent place to get something to eat. Service is typically friendly and attentive and the prices are reasonable. In addition, they have a pretty extensive catering menu that is served in large tin, reheatable trays and you can order hot or cold. This is a great business. Try it, you'll love it. read more

These folks go out of their weight to make sure everyone is happy! They begin Initially with bread, water, and drinks, and then many of their ITALIAN specialties. My wife qnd I have been here several times but the last two times have been disappointing. Service is great, waitresses are attentive and friendly. Casual atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable and I see a lot of seniors here in the early afternoon, I believe drawn in by affordable meals. All the bread and butter you need and free soft drink refills. My wife ordered the small antipasto that was under 10 dollars. It had a little of everything but only about a half slice of provolone, 1 slice each of salami and capicola . Again, it was just under 1en dollars. I usually get a sub, sausage and provolone from the oven, and a side salad. Salad and dressing were delicious but seems to have shrunk a little in size. The sausage sub was very disappointing plenty of cheese, very scant on the sausage. Pretty much a cheese sandwich. This restaurant is no longer worth the trip from Smithfield for us so We'll be looking for a closer restaurant. Service and cleanliness were not a problem. The issue was the food. Calamari had chopped tomatoes and lettuce in it and was served with cocktail sauce, just odd. The seafood was frozen and the baked seafood platter was swimming in liquid. Pasta was served separately from the chicken parm and the meatballs and peppers. I gave never had a bad meal here. The waitstaff is always top-notch. My son and I went this past Friday night, 1/5/24, and it was no exception. We had the boneless Buffalo fingers to start, and they were absolutely delicious! For mains, I had the eggplant Sorrento special, and he had spaghetti and meatballs. What a great place. This is a solid 3 star place and solid 4 star taking the staff into account. The food falls solidly in the middle of good! Which is good, meaning .... it's not the small Italian place on the corner in Federal Hill but it's not Papa Gino's either. We got backed cheese ravioli, baked lasagna, salad with shrimp on top and fettuccini Alfredo (no protein). And side salad which are extra. They start you with YUMMY white bread and real butter (sad you have to specify now, huh??) super sweet waitress took our order and the food is served in individual baked dishes. Which, I LOVE! It's ooey and gooey and crispy on top. It also keeps it nice and hot for a good amount of time. I tried everyone's except the shrimp on salad, it was what it was. And fairly nondescript. The lasagna had good amount of meat/sauce/ricotta ratio and I was surprised I liked it as much as I did! I even ate all the leftovers the next day. Is it your moms? No. Was it pretty damn good? I'd say alllllmost. it was tasty and I would go and get it again! The cheese ravioli was good - but unless you muck up the sauce you'd have to try hard to mess that up. The Alfredo fell short for me. The flavor was almost there, the sauce was a little Thin and lacked the deep rich and creaminess that should be there. More garlic too haha. For desert we got the tiramisu and Oreo cookie ice cream pie. I didn't like the tiramisu really at all. I can't even put my finger on it. But not my fav- maybe more ricotta ? But I did like the pie. mmm. I would definitely come here again, for a casual consistent meal with great help that score a perfect 10 on the queer-o-meter. Since we've been under Corona home confinement, we've gotten Rigatoni's a few times. We have used them to provide our dinners for Easter and Mother's Day. The food has been outstanding each time. For those occasions we'e has the family size Chicken Francaise, Lasagna, Chicken Parm, Eggplant Florentine, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Cavatelli with Pink Vodka Sauce and Salad. All were well received. My favorites were the Chicken Francaise, the Cavatelli And vodka sauce and cavatelli....actually, as I go on, i really enjoyed it all. The folks at the counter are really mice when you pick up. Let me just start off by saying the "head chef"and "manager" Ryan doesn't know how to cook or manager restaurant. I went in there and got the chicken Caesar wrap with pretty much all lettuce NO Caesar dressing in it and maybe half of a chicken cutlet in each half. The second thing I got was a Italian sub that had some sick looking vegetables on it. The sandwich was left open therefore all of the oil and vinegar seeped through the paper and got everything else wet. Lemon cello cake should've been called the chalk cello cake the way it left the horrible taste in my mouth. Lastly even the bottle of Pepsi tasted old and flat. Needless to say. Don't go there people. Save your money. Jersey mikes subs are 100x better than this place. And if you have an issue Ryan gets all salty and defensive as if you're wrong. This has always been a happy place for our family. The food is consistently fantastic. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. We use to meet my parents at Rigatoni's often. My dad referred to it as that great fish place that does the potatoes the way I like it. My mom would pipe in with how great the eggplant was. I look through the reviews of this place and laugh. I read things ranging from people raving its the best Italian ever and others say it's inedible and overpriced. Here it is: Consistent decent food, a steady menu with good daily specials, redone interior, and EXCELLENT waitstaff. With that being said (factoring in that I'm Italian), it's Italian-American food. Not authentic Italian. Pasta, manicotti, parm, etc. Sauce is as good as sauce can be in a restaurant that caters to a variety of customers taste buds. It isn't that good home cooked gravy. Forget it! But their food is always consistently good. Never fantastic. Never bad. Ask for extra sauce if you're "that" person. And you'll get it! Prices are reasonable given the quality and portions. They remodeled and renovated a while back and although the inside is still pretty pain it's a lot more pleasant and not nearly as dated. This area is filled with pizza joints and Italian restaurant and Rigatonis sort of blends in with many of the rest, just simple and inexpensive food with quick and friendly service. The menu has quite a bit on it with luncheon specials available but is pretty much what's expected. You get some nice, fresh bread complete with real butter with your meal and decent size portions. First off this review is not about their food. The food quality is good compared to anything else around here with the same type of food. The issue here is delivery service my family had a death and we asked Rigatonis to cater that affair, they agreed to so, but when it came to delivering the food to the hall they simply refused and said they could not due to Covid. Though they have been noted to deliver in the past for other things. This was a huge inconvenience to us. My family would have had to leave their "fathers funeral" in order to pick up the food. Thankfully, due to some good people that we know they volunteered to go pick up the food and deliver it to the empty location for the afters of our small gathering. There was no one , except for the one worker in the location and they refused to deliver the food. Though we had spent several hundred dollars. That is not showing compassion, cooperation for a family at a difficult time and in difficult times as it is.
