Stopped in on Christmas Eve night cause literally nothing else was open. I had the lamb chops (huge), mash and mac & cheese. Everything was good but if you don't like a lot of seasoning in your mac, then this won't work for you. Drinks and hookah were good. Our bartender was a little standoff-ish at first, but later on she was really cool (Tay or Jay). Nice selection of music played... we stayed from 10:30p-2am just vibing. Cru was around the corner/walking distance from our hotel... so everything worked out perfect.

I had a great time at this bar. Be advised, this bar always MARY JANE to be smoked inside and you WILL smell upon leaving the establishment. Drinks are always good and strong here. This is a very small and narrow location. There is a single restroom for men and women and it's hardly clean but I understand that from people who are high and drunk. Service is slowwwww. Don't expect anything In a hurry. Music is always a vibe. They get great DJs to come play on the weekends. Hookahs everywhere so it gets pretty hot inside. I have only had food once and it was just ok and very cold. Houston has many other spots but my friends keep wanting to come here to I figured I would be honest about my review. If the service could get a little quicker and they could follow the rules on capacity for the size of the location, It would be more enjoyable. Yall definitely let too many people in this place.

Came here on a Sunday. They open at four, we were there by 4:30. We ordered food and I ordered tacos. After a hour of waiting we checked with the waitress and she informed us that the cook never received our order and is now cooking it. We received the food and it was cold :/... Located downtown. We didn't have a reservation but we were able to get bar seats. Oh yea, typical, you had to be ID'ed and checked, if you had a purse/bag. Guys patted. Anywho, the bar was perfectly fine. Everyone was real cool in there including the other patrons. The bartender and waitress were courteous and attentive. Jas (sp.) at the bar was great. We ordered a few drinks and hookah. Hookah was great. Came out really quick. Drinks also. I've only been to the Cru's in the Atl area and this was by far a better experience. Everything flowed smoothly. The spot was in a nice location too. "Some" of the spots around Atl are a bit suspect meaning I don't want to park my car there. And the spots are extremely small. IJS. To each it's own. The music was good here and the hype man, that's what I'll call him since he had a mic and walking around kept the vibes going. I would definitely be back if in the area.

I went to Cru for the first time last Saturday and had a ball! My friend and I arrived shortly before 10:30pm, and by 11pm it was packed out. Thankfully, we were able to grab two bar seats where full service was available. The food, drinks, music, and overall vibe was great. And the hookah was probably some of the best I've had here in Houston. My friend ordered the wings and I had the fried lobster tail and fries. DELICIOUS! I was actually shocked by how flavorful the food was. The crowd was a little young for my preference, but it's a spot I'd return to for sure! Jasmine was our bartender and she was friendly, professional, and offered great service the entire night.

    We out here Houston!

I had a really good time at the spot. I came here because a friend invited me out as they were celebrating H town Ciera's birthday. It was lit! Everybody was drunk . I'm not sure how a lot of those ladies made it home lol. The lighting there is green which was it an interesting ambiance. Hookahs, music and food were all super good. It's in a great location. They don't have a parking lot so you have to find parking in the streets, y'all know how downtown Houston is. But this is a really good venue that I will definitely be coming back to.

The dining room is chic and feels very upscale but comfortable with a large open fire kitchen that was really fun to watch while dining. They were very on top of service with both our dining captain and waiter checking on us throughout the evening. For appetizers we ordered the deviled crabs, tuna tostada and wood roasted carrots. All were great but I especially loved the carrots which were cooked and seasoned perfectly. For my main course I had the chicken and dumplings, husband got the NY strip, our friends shared the whole fish and we had the cabbage and crab rice as sides. Everyone was very happy with both their main courses and the side dishes. We were too stuffed to order dessert but they sent out a s'mores inspired sunday for my birthday which was both thoughtful and sublime. Overall we were very impressed with our meal. Food was delicious but veeeery indulgent. We will be back.

We were greeted by three different people - one that took our drink order, one that cleared our plates, and one that took our order. All were very nice people and gave excellent service! I forgot their names unfortunately. My receipt said Zachary but not sure which waiter that was. Between me and hubs, we had a Pan de campo, an order of Gulf Oysters "casino", (4) dressed oysters, a 16 oz dry aged ribeye, a snapper entree and a side of crab fried rice. We finished almost everything except a quarter of the Pan, about a quarter of the rice, and about a third of the ribeye. All were great dishes and would definitely order again. We skipped dessert because honestly none stood out to us. He said their popular dessert is the souffle but they were sold out. Our total before gratuity was about $250 and that included one cocktail. Hubs had their "classic" old fashioned which he said was excellent! Overall, highly recommended if you don't mind the splurge or for a special occasion!

Friday after work during happy hour and the prices could not be beat, especially with their lobster bites (was sitting at about $30, and we got them half off!) Drinks were fantastic! I selected the "Golden Cadillac" that comes with a miniature bottle of Grand Marnier inside of it. Very good. My company decided on an array of appetizers for his "main course", while I went with their Fried Salmon (served with Mac and cheese, and collard greens). Omg! So tasty! The pepper was prevalent throughout, but it did not over power the flavor! I make collard greens at home (and learned from one of the best), and even I found theirs to be pretty good! My company selected fried ribs, along with the lobster bites, and crawfish queso dip, and their wings! I tasted what he got, and we both agreed that the wings were "off the chart" delicious with a beautiful straight off the grill smoky flavor! So good that he got another order to go! Lol. What made our experience there amazing was our server Ray (Rajean = think "the 90's TV Show "Living Single"..."smooches"!)...she was the best!! From her hello, to walking us through the menu (as first-timers), her recommendations, her energy, her smile, and her being very relatable. Loved her! My only gripe was the bathrooms, the ladies room needed attention (and could use a spruce all around). It doesn't help that it is a bit small, but yeah, they need to focus some efforts on ensuring it's upkeep. As for seating and parking, there is a bar area and limited seating toward the front of the restaurant, but it does extend to back of the house with additional seating. There is also patio seating as well. Because this place seems popular, it is best to reserve ahead to ensure your seating. Parking is very limited! They do however, offer valet (but at $20+). There is off-street parking, but be careful since this is a residential area and nothing is secure. All in all, I really had a great time and left with my belly full! Definitely worth checking out! What was lost is now found! Enjoy!

Well the host came and said "go to the front & I can help you there". Cool. We get seated and given a menu. The menu was dirty, sticky, and over all filthy. We moved inside to the bar and asked a waitress "can you let the bartender know we are here, we think she went to the back for something". The waitress looked at us and said " oh, she know y'all here. She gone come". Instead of letting her know we moved to the bar. Anywho, Bunny took great care us. She literally made our experience go from 1 to a high 8. Ask for Bunnnyyy at the bar!!! Nice music playing. Minus the bugs on the patio (love bug season in tx) and long wait on the patio, the ambiance wouldve been great outside..... Service needs a bit of tweaking, food was good, Bunny was amazing. Well be back in some time. Thank you Bunnyyy!
