"Amazing work ethic and communications in the RV service industry."…read more In the DC metro, good RV services are hard to come by...but Ace is a rare find! They respond to texts within minutes, call you back promptly, do a great job of letting you know what to expect with scheduling and costs. Ace kept us informed of potential delays (e.g., parts) and the reason. Spontaneously sent videos and photos of the work in progress and completed. In the end, completed our job weeks faster than expected AND at a lower price than expected. Our camper looks great and everything checks out repair-wise. I'm not going anywhere else in the DC metro for RV work. I strongly recommend Ace's work AND their work ethic!

We were so happy with what we saw, that we decided to pursue a purchase, and Ace made the process super easy. We're pop-up novices, and the whole team took a couple hours out of their day to walk us through everything. We felt appreciated the entire time we were there! We had some wear and tear service work done, and the work was completed expertly and quickly - I was really impressed. I'll definitely be talking to the team at Ace again in the future!

Well, uh, let's see what all happened - and didn't happen:…read more 1. Check Engine light was on right at the pickup. I told the dispatcher and she said it was "Just serviced by the tech, and it should go out after a few miles." I asked her if there is another camper available or if the check engine light can be reset, and she said NO, and if I refuse the rental, they will charge the deposit. 1b. That check engine light is STILL ON when I returned the vehicle, after 3,700 miles. 2. Toilet paper holder fell off the wall in the first ten miles of driving. (Also...no TP in that holder) 3. Wall Trim behind driver's seat came loose/flopped around within first 100 miles of driving 4. Table mounting bracket (converting from dinette/banquette to bed) was bent/in poor condition, and made making the bed/table an ordeal each evening and morning 5. Very first night camping - microwave won't heat food and snaps the circuit breaker within two minutes of cooking. This didn't get fixed for THREE DAYS because there was no service area between Indiana (first stop) and Colorado. 6. The cover for the water heater/gas stove disappeared in Iowa somewhere along I-80. Also not repaired until I took it to service in Frederick. Oh, and Frederick personnel where quite upset on my behalf...or at least acted like it. They said the condition of the RV warranted 'an email to corporate' from them. Maybe they sent one, maybe they didn't. 7. Had to drive the unit to Frederick, CO for service to repair the worst issues - an ~80+mile round trip out-of-my-way/wasted a day getting service. While I appreciate very much what Frederick did to make the RV usable - especially replacing the microwave (check engine light wasn't repaired by Frederick) They charged me full price for an RV with 90,000 HARD miles on it, and refused to assist me at pickup, or for three days. Which, actually probably helped me ID all the sh* that was wrong with it. Finally, on turn-in, they gave me an email, cr@cruiseamerica.com to inquire about "consideration" for all the things that went wrong. I tried that - zero response. I guess if you treat your customers bad enough, eventually they'll just go away.

We've rented both the medium and the large RV. The large RV does provide a separate bedroom that can be closed off either via a curtain or a door. Renting an RV can give you the best of both worlds: camping in the woods or an RV park and 'air conditioning' during the hot spring/ ahem/ summer months! There's plenty of storage space and sleeping space. It can get very bumpy on the highways of No. Virginia so be prepared. I dinged one star because on this last rental, the vehicle was not as clean as expected.

It was ready but found it leaked in master bedroom the first night, it was so bad we had to put a tarp over the bed as to not get wet at night when it rained. The camper was dirty and needed a good cleaning, the shower door wouldn't stay shut. When we called he said he would have a repairman come to campground. Then told us the camper had the Ac completely dislodged with the previous renter. He could of told us before we left but didn't. We never got a repair man to come. I asked for $1500.00 off, told him he should have been honest so we could have pick one of the other units. He argued with me and we only got $500 off. I would never rent from him again and caution anyone who is thinking of renting from him.

After driving for several hours, you will experience shortness of breath and headaches. The owner, Jae, is irresponsible. The unit has been moved to his back yard of his house and kept in the grass apparently to save him money. "THE UNIT WAS STUCK IN THE MUD IN HIS BACK YARD AND HAD TO BE TOWED OUT" The screen door (and the work which controls the sensor to the automatic stairs) was broken. Jae suggested using a screw driver to pry it open when entering or exiting. The shower door was also broken, leaving you no way to keep it shut while taking a shower. The unit is filled with cheap equipment and the work is shoddy. Do yourself a favor and pass this company up. Find a quality outfit.

We put a deposit down on a camper site unseen with a…read morepromise from Jeff (salesman) and James (manager) that it would be delivered to Frederick so we could do a walkthrough before signing final documents. A couple days later Ty called us to schedule the walk through/signing. We asked if we could do 3pm or later during the week or anytime over the weekend. Ty said the latest he would agree to was 2:30pm and then said, "most people are so excited to make a big purchase like this that they just take off work. Why can't you take off work?" (Keep in mind this is last minute). We reluctantly agreed to come at 2:30. GUESS WHAT!? We show up to do our walk through at 2:30 and the camper was never sent to Frederick from Joppa. Funniest part is that James (manager) acted like he had no idea we hadn't seen the camper in person yet DESPITE being the one who told us we would be able to see it before signing final documents at our appointment. We still gave them the benefit of the doubt and agreed to buy the camper site unseen with the agreement that when the campers delivered to our campsite (2 hours away from us) we would be able to do a walk through and get the keys. While waiting on delivery, I get 4 calls from Jeff asking how we are liking the camper which we DON'T even have yet!!! You haven't delivered it! I get a call from James AFTER signing all the final documents saying the payments will actually be $50 more per month than they told us, never asked if it was okay, etc. We were also told the scheduling lady would call to confirm delivery which never happened, we had to reach out multiple times instead. Delivery finally happens and THEY DON'T HAVE KEYS TO THE CAMPER! We can't get it set up or do anything and have to drive 2 hours back home to fight with James and Ty for days on where our keys were. They kept saying they would call us back, never did. When we finally got a hold of James, he said the keys could be picked up from Frederick the following afternoon, they obviously didn't follow through on this either, didn't even call us to say they weren't there, then blamed it on Joppa per usual. Everything was Joppa's fault, not Frederick's if you ask James. Then they said the keys would be in Frederick the following morning. We kept calling to confirm the keys were in the office as promised since the first go around they weren't. They again kept saying they would call us back when they had a new time to pick them up but big surprise.. no one ever called us back. The kicker is that James had the nerve to ask me to give them a positive Google review..... so, here's your much deserved review, James! You've lost multiple customers over this! Do better!!!

When we purchased our Motorhome (from a concierge service in New Jersey) I tried to find a local company to service our coach. When I called Chesaco RV, Joppa, MD I was told, and I quote: "... we only service RV's that we sell!" Fast-forward to last month when I was alerted to a recall on our coach. I was referred to Chesaco as the closest Authorized Dealer. I called the Gambrills location (approx. 20 miles away) and asked for service, apparently, I was forwarded to the Joppa facility. I explained the recall and was told that I had an appointment for July 15th at 10:00am Imagine my surprise when I arrived at the Gambrills location only to be told I had no appointment! They checked with Joppa and said that I made the appointment there! I did NOT! Joppa is 50 miles away on the other side of Baltimore! I was not a happy camper. They told me that if I left my coach they would order the parts and contact me when the parts arrived to schedule the work. I checked every day for over a week. Each and every time I called, I was told the service person was on a call and would call me back. That never happened! So, I called Camping World Manassas, VA and started the process there... I explained my experience with another dealer and needed help. They promptly filed a claim with Forest River, which was approved. This proved that Chesaco RV never did anything! Forest River would never approve TWO claims for the same vehicle. I went to Chesaco and told them that I was taking my coach to another dealer. They said they "... already submitted a claim and ordered the parts!" Simply not possible! After a very short discussion, I asserted that I wanted my coach. They were NOT happy but did bring it around and left in a huff. I drove my coach home and will NEVER return. Not that it changes anything, except to warn my fellow veterans! I am a retired service-disabled Marine Corps veteran. I strongly recommend that you NEVER do business with this company.

BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU COMPLAINT FORTHCOMING…read more I strongly recommend that prospective buyers use caution before purchasing from Road Trip Camping. My experience after buying a 2024 TAXA TigerMoth Overland has been extraordinarily frustrating, and I am now preparing to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. When I purchased the camper, owner Warren and his staff repeatedly emphasized Road Trip Camping's relationship with TAXA, their standing as a major dealer, and Warren's personal relationships with people at the company. Those assurances gave me confidence that if something went wrong, I would be taken care of. Unfortunately, things went wrong almost immediately. First, the air conditioner supplied with the camper made violent gurgling noises and had damaged controls. When I initially reported it, Flo suggested the noise might be normal because her trailer's AC sounded similar. I pushed the issue, submitted a warranty claim, and the replacement was ultimately approved. I was instructed to purchase the replacement myself and submit the receipt for reimbursement. I did exactly that. Months later, I still have not been reimbursed more than $200 for the replacement AC. Then came something far more serious. On only my third trip with the camper, the driver's-side wheel bearing disintegrated while my wife, children, and I were traveling approximately 70 mph. A passing motorist yelled to us that our tire was on fire. We slowed down and pulled over. The bearing had failed catastrophically and generated enough heat to damage the hub components. When the trailer service company arrived, the wheel was precariously positioned on the axle. This could have ended very differently. This was particularly disturbing because I had been told the camper had been serviced and inspected before I purchased it. Warren personally assured me that he would oversee the warranty repair. Because I live nearly four hours from the dealership, parts were shipped to my home so the work could be completed locally. When one shipment arrived, I was required to pay nearly $100 in import charges just to receive the warranty parts. I then paid approximately $585 for the local repair/service work and submitted the costs for reimbursement. Again, I have not been reimbursed. Throughout this process I copied Road Trip Camping on communications and repeatedly asked for their help. At one point Brittany told me they had left a message with Storyteller's main office and that if I wanted additional information, I should contact Storyteller's Accounts Payable department myself. After purchasing the camper from Road Trip Camping based partly on assurances about their relationship with the manufacturer, I found that response astonishing. I am now out nearly $1,000 between warranty-related expenses, repair costs, shipping/import charges, and the replacement AC, while continuing to discover issues with a camper I was told had been inspected before delivery. Most frustratingly, Warren personally assured me that if Storyteller did not make this right, he would. That has not happened. I have retained the emails, warranty documentation, receipts, photographs, repair information, and correspondence associated with these issues. I would welcome Road Trip Camping responding publicly and answering two very simple questions: 1. Why have these documented warranty expenses still not been reimbursed? 2. Will Road Trip Camping honor Warren's personal assurance that these issues would be taken care of? Until that happens, based on my experience, I cannot recommend purchasing a camper from Road Trip Camping.
