Thought we would go in and enjoy the Golden Tee golf machine that is said to be here. This place needs some signs. We get out, and go in the back of an office building. The doors were locked at 5 pm, and a sign directed us to go downstairs. Instead, we got back in the car and drove around behind the office building where there was a little parking lot for the bar, with a sign that certainly wasn't readable from the street. We went inside, had a great time and the golden tea machine is located in a room dedicated to the Denver Broncos. There were Momentos in there from the Broncos that I had never seen way back to Pat Bolen and John 7. Great ambience, and the air conditioner was just right on such a hot day. The Golden Tee machine was updated, and worked perfectly. My wife couldn't have been happier. Talked with the bartender, Shannon, and she was very sweet and very efficient. Had a great time in there, and apparently it's a local spot, and everyone is very friendly. We'll be back. read more

After hiking all day in Moab, we jetted back to Grand Junction where we were crashing for the night. Our hotel, the Doubletree, was a short walk from Cruisers. We were looking for a dive to play pool and watch the national championship game. Cruisers was the only place we found in GJ to fit said description. So, we cruised over! From the road, this is one of the most nondescript bars I've ever ventured to. It was around 15 degrees and walking a few blocks from our hotel we were itching for warmth. However, the bar is located in the very back of an office looking building. My friends literally thought it didn't exist and were ready to toss me off the monument if I was wrong. Luckily, Yelp and maps didn't lead us astray! This is a sports dive through and through. Locals were cheering on the Avalanche, but they also have a large shrine of Packers memorabilia. We drank Coors Banquet, played too many games of pool and watched the game. Bartenders were generally nice, mostly serving canned beers and shots. They do have food which is a plus. However, they were out of all the fried food we had our eyes on. So I settled for a few frozen pizzas. They weren't very good. But what do you expect, something gourmet from a wood fired oven? It does the job when you need to eat and don't feel like going elsewhere. Especially since the late night food scene in Grand Junction (in January, no less) doesn't have much to offer. Nothing to write home about, however it's a fairly clean and well kept dive. A lot of space to boot, which is nice if you have a big crowd with you. We were in Grand Junction a week. We asked locals about a good place for the New Year's Eve Celebration. Nobody really gave us a "you should go here spot," more in general areas, downtown and a few restaurant names. We visited all those places and asked about the New Year's Celebration Happenings. Most were not too sure and while we were asking we would enjoy a drink or two with not much of an "I want to come back feeling." So when we stumbled upon Cruisers not in the downtown area but directly across the street from our hotel, felt like we finally found a nugget of gold in Colorado. Our first visit: The waitress was super nice the entire night, gave us a couple of scenarios that could go down for New Years, explained it's a rather small town and most of the New Year's planning could happen on the day of. The live music was great. They have some talent here in Grand Junction. Prices were decent, I wouldn't have recommend the bar food. Patrons were over the top friendly with us. I guess it being a small town they recognize the outsiders. Everyone complimented us from head to toe, women and men alike. We were hot! We knew we found the spot where we would close out 2018. Tip: If you check in you get a free drink! Our Second Visit: Happy New Years, It was packed we thought we got there early and luckily our table was available. Why we wanted to mark our territory the short time we were there but we were adamant about our parking spots and seats. Anyways new waitress, she was pregnant and had a large area to cover. It did take her a while to come back around but we had a great time. The music was equally amazing with this live band too! Again, people came to talk to us Grand Junction is super friendly. Chill and spacious bar that includes pool tables, T.V's , arcade games and live music. Very casual ambience. I understand they were busy so I won't bother about the longer wait time it took for a server to assist me. Plus they give you a free drink if you check in on Yelp which is a cool gesture. Their prices are affordable. My husband bought a beer for $4. It was way too loud in there though. I couldn't hear my husband and we left early due to the music being outrageously loud. read more

The bar is huge and had 3 bartenders on st Patty day when I was there checking it out. They have light bar snacks which is great for when you get hungry. New to the area and stopped in this week for a couple of beverages. I was pleasantly surprised by this great little bar. The place was nice and busy on a Thursday night. The owner, the staff, and the patrons were all very welcoming. They were running a team trivia contest, which I would normally not be a fan of as far as something that basically takes over an entire bar, but it actually worked out really well. The MC was entertaining and everybody was having a really good time. My Guiness was nice and cold and the mixed drinks were strong. Prices were totally fair as well. They actually were running an all-you-can-drink special that started at 10PM, I believe for $10. This is a great bar and I met some really nice locals. We visited a friend live in Grand Junction for his a birthday party. We don't have any activity at night we decided to hangout at the bar. We found the Cruisers bar nearby. We love the crowd and great ambiance. The live music was awesome. They interact with audience and the guitarist came to our table to chill out. Pretty cool bar thats a little far away from all the other bars in town. It has a huge patio, almost as big as the bar itself. I've been a few times now and caught a band playing on their little stage. The band wasn't anything special and was crazy loud, but theres a huge TV right next to the stage so I stayed to watch the game. There's pool tables and arcade games; I think I saw a dart board too. It doesn't really have a stylistic direction other than "bar" which is okay by me. Nothing pretentious about this place. The only thing this place is missing is a kitchen. If I could get a great meal here in addition to the decently priced drinks, I could probably spend an entire night here. read more

I've been coming to this bar for the last about 2 years consistently and have never felt so un-welcomed as I did last night. I downloaded the certified myColorado app where you scan your driver's license and can upload any other federal documents. The dispensary's, banks, airports, and other bars accept this. I had misplaced my ID and decided just to use the app as I've only used it once before. I showed the bartender (who also before had given me a hard time about me being 21 and being in there when my friends or coworkers go in about 3 times a week) my ID on the app, and immediately says she can't accept it. I ask her how since regulated and federal business' take it and it had to scan my actual ID to show this and she says management decided to get it? Because they can't scan it? Which my physical has never been scanned here before I laughed and asked "but you've seen me in here before right? you know I'm over 21?" And she says "yes but I need to see the physical copy" I said "well this app is technically all I need and it's really all I have" and she said "well since it's after 9 I can't have you in here" then just stared at us as we walked out. I won't be coming back for a long time if not ever. Go to a different, better local bar. One that is more friendly, with customer service proficiency at least. read more

Our first time at Cruisers. We recently moved from downtown Denver after 18 years. We had heard from other locals that this was a good time. So we tried it. The entrance area threw us off, as we were expecting a little dive bar. However, once we got it there, the place was a pretty big size. Decor was fresh and clean, definitely Broncos sports bar. The bartender McKenna, was over the top Hospitable! She spent time with us telling us all the good places and music venues to try out! Really was a win! Wow so normally it's a 5 star bar but tonight was the WORST service I've ever had. Male bartender was a dick only saving grace was the chick who worked as well. Stopped at this bar while on a road trip. We stayed at a hotel a couple mins from here. As soon as we walked in the place was busy but not overly crowded. It was a saturday evening. We just ordered a couple of beers and the bartender (who was also the manager) was so friendly and efficient. It seemed like a locals bar which is always fun to go and meet some of the locals.
