A good spot to grab a beer and a snack. They have inside and outside seating. I tried their hibiscus lemon seltzer, patio session. It was a good light drink. Not sweet. They have a good tuck on site, but they also bar snacks. I had the soft pretzel with cheese. The pretzel comes out warm. I did notice they have some fun events on their calendar. They are dog friendly inside and outside. Parking is available on site and there's plenty of it. read more

I swung by Base Camp Beer Works on my way home to Washington state. It was a pleasant stop that was for certain after already being in the car hours already and the journey home just began. The place was friendly and they had a really intriguing beer on tap but they ran out of it when attempting to do my pour but I got the little that was left. I think it was a beer modeled after Mango and Sticky Rice. So I settled for the Scuba Shack Lager. It wasn't bad but didn't have the uniqueness of the one they ran out of. Flavor highlights with the lager is crisp and light with a touch of lime. It was definitely pleasant enough and refreshing on the early and toasty early Autumn day as I was passing through Grand Junction. read more

Wow, have no fear, the beer is here. Whether it is after hitting the slopes during the winter season, hopping off the bike, or resting your feet after hitting the trails, this is the base camp to be at! Tucked back, just off the high,way this brewery is a welcome find to the thirsty traveler. Beyond crafting excellent beers they also have a fantastic taproom and patio. Really wanted to like this place more than I did. It's got a great local vibe, clean setting both indoors and outside where you bus your own table. First time around I split the hummus and falafel board, which was fresh and light but nothing special. Second time I got the burger of the week with fries. Patties seemed dry for my liking, but the brioche bun and the fries were solid. Their play on cheesecake, which is no bake accompanied with crackers, wasn't worth the calories. read more

Update: Visited again while passing through in July 2023. Different name, but same great brewery with a wide range of delicious (and not always typical) beer selections. Good merchandise, good vibe, nice indoor and outdoor seating areas; you really cannot go wrong! Glad to see them still going strong 3 years later even with the obligatory name change (interestingly we had been to the now defunct Base Camp Brewing of Portland, OR they bought out the naming rights from before). read more

What a spot! We stopped on our way from Denver to Moab to stretch our legs and get some mid drive drinks and grub. Food truck there for the night was Little Pink Truck and it was absolutely delicious with some of the best pastrami I've had. The brewery rotates food trucks, so it won't always be there, but worth looking up when they'll be back. The beer was super flavorful and fun! I had 2 of the cherry sours and the boyfriend went with a flight. Favorite of the night was the Chutes and Ladders Pale. It is a little off the highway if you're driving through but definitely worth it. Another huge plus is they're dog friendly with pups allowed on the patio and inside and just about everyone there had one in tow. We'll be back any time we're this way read more

Great outdoor seating area, great beer including a bomb diggity sour and awesome staff. Perfect to bring you - had to quickly edit this just minutes later cuz sweeeet baby rays my favorite IPA lives here. If you know grand junction they're all about them peaches and god bless America the palisade plunge ipa is the finest thing to go down the guzzler all month. Thank you for this fine treat monumental. Great place! Looks new! The beer was good, service was good. They are very dog friendly too! A lady brought out a bowl of water for my dogs and there were lots of other pups in the patio area. They have a food truck that comes called the Little Pink Truck and the food was delicious! I ordered the pastrami sandwich, yum! My husband had the chicken/bacon sandwich which was good too! Definitely worth stopping for lunch on your way somewhere. :) read more

When every beer has the same finish, the brewers are doing something wrong. An IPA, pale ale and lager should have a different palette feel and nuance of flavors. All three if these styles left the same musty aftertaste. The place is nice, and the outside seating area is a great ace to sit and talk. Sad the beers are so bad read more

Friendly staff, tasty beer and enjoyed the cute and comfortable patio on a sunny afternoon. Grabbed some tacos and a burrito from the on-site food truck which were delicious and a good value. When we were on our way out I asked if they had any stickers and received one free of charge. We'll try to come back the next time we're headed through Grand Junction. read more

Was traveling from California and stopped in Grand Junction on the way back and tried this brewery on a whim. Gotta say this has got to be the best beer I've ever tasted. I got the Kiln Coffee Brown and it so incredibly smooth and tasty. The best parts of a cold brew and beer combined to make something absolutely wonderful. They even use coffee from a local coffee spot called Kiln (also a really great coffee place). My friend got a peaches and cream beer that also was really good. The staff was also incredibly friendly and it was a really nice and warm environment. read more

Bartender was super helpful and friendly, beers were all on-point (and we did 2 flights!). My favorite was the Pinestachio Cream Ale - they also had a good selection of Hazy IPAs and Sours. Would highly recommend checking out this brewery! read more

We love this spot. They opened during the shut down in Colorado and have never stopped being awesome since then. They are a pillar of the community. Supporting other local businesses from food trucks to artists. I have never had a beer here that I didn't enjoy. Great to see the friendly smiling faces of their long term employees (they seem to have almost no turnover!) who remember mine and my husbands names, and our dogs names. A great diversity of events are hosted here. Excellent range of stylish reasonably priced merch. A monthly coloring contest for adults and children. Usually busy but the wait at the bar is never long. The beers rotate quickly but not so quickly if there's something you love you won't have another opportunity to drink it. read more

If you're looking for a great craft brewery - with the staff who knows their stuff - then this your place. We liked the Junction Juice hazy IPA and the Vanilla Chai Milk Stout. The staff was friendly, the outdoor seating accommodating, and their safety procedures for social distancing were calculated. Great merch too!!! read more

I stopped in to this new business today on their opening day. Unfortunately, their tap room was only serving to go orders due to Coronavirus restrictions. I was greeted with friendly staff who were cleaning and sanitizing when I walked in. The establishment looked really nice with multiple patios that I look forward to visiting when open. I got both of their IPAs they had on tap in cans to go. The staff made it a point to sanitize everything including the stylus for signing the receipt between each patron. Nice to know they are taking cleanliness very seriously. Both beers tasted exceptional. The only reason I am not giving a full 5 star rating is that one of the cans was only filled about 2/3 full. Not a huge deal, but when I pay $9+ for a can of beer I want it to be full. I'm looking forward to this taproom bringing the micro brew culture to GJ. I will definitely be back. read more

The hostess was welcoming until she went to seat us at the table right next to the door when there was tons of open seating. So I asked for a different table and she seemed put off by the request. Our server was Brittney and she took our order. I ordered the Highlander Sliders and hubby ordered the Irish Stew and the Malted Vinegar Chips. I checked to be sure the sliders would be well done. When our food arrived, it all looked fairly good. The sliders were burnt, though. Well done doesn't equate to charring the outsides. They were dried out because of that but the sauce they use helped. They sliders came with fries. They were good. Hubby liked his stew but the chips didn't have any vinegar on them and were overly salted. They were served with French onion dip so that was good. Overall this was somewhat of a let down. I was really looking forward to a good dining experience but they missed the mark.
