The flavors differ between the two shops, and can change during the day, so be sure to inquire about alternatives not listed on the wall menu, nor on their website. I was standing at the counter about to order when I heard workers mention that one of them loved the peach cobbler. Well, I love it too, so I asked whether it was available. It was, so I quickly changed my order to Peach Cobbler water ice with Vanilla Custard. Medium cup. I asked for a top so I could drive home without spillage. The observant young counter lady seized the moment and slipped the medium plastic cup into a larger one that permitted the top to snap on the rim without damage to custard sitting on top. A bit of practical intelligence there. Yes. I loved the combo of peach cobbler and vanilla creamy custard. It was very satisfying, without being unduly sweet. The textures were engaging and a full partner to the tastes. Given the people sitting/standing around outside with cones and cups in hand, Newtown Ice House should be a smashing success.

I admit the prices are higher, but worth the price if they are respecting the farmers that they source the cocoa from. You can tell by tasting it, it's quality chocolate and so pretty to look at! A great place to get family and friends a gift, because they will know there was care in the chocolates and other confections from here. I've bought the dark chocolate & milk chocolate pretzels for my Mom and a former co-worker; they both really enjoyed them!
