I am serious when I say I love everything about Crumbl. The clean atmosphere, the welcoming staff, the delicious smell, and the taste of awesome cookies!! What is not to love? I will admit that they are pricey and the location is not always ideal but it's not like I'm going there every day. It's a wonderful treat for those special occasion's or when you need a pick me up after a long day. My favorite flavors are the classic pink sugar and Oreo. I also love how the flavors are always changing so that I can try something new each time.

first time trying this new cookie place! love the pink and dainty aesthetic! the kitchen is right behind the cashier so it's neat to see the big dough mixers and oven. the front layout is simple but a bit small. a self serve tablet is where you input your order. you could get a single cookie, or four, six, twelve cookies. there are a variety of warm and chilled options. you can also order milk too. the system was easy to use and you can sign up for points with your phone number. you wait for the cookies by the pickup counter on the opposite side. i thought it was neat that there were a horizontal and vertical television screens playing cinematic videos of the cookies. i appreciate the brand's effort to make the experience visually pleasing! service was quick and we received our cookies in a cute little box in minutes! the cookies are HUGE. could easily split between 2-4 people if you don't want a sugar rush. the milk chocolate chip cookie came warm! the outer edges are crunchy but the middle is doughy and a bit sticky. but the chocolate chips melt just right. my partner ordered the churro cookie and disliked it. he wasn't a fan of the frosting and the extreme sweetness. "it doesn't taste like a churro"

Always pleasant service at the checkout! The line is organized with fast self ordering screens and a built-in rewards program. The cookies are all made fresh on the spot with an attentive and orderly team. The cookies they make are a perfect texture, consistency and flavor. The recipe is perfection! Two thumbs way up!

Oh crumbl you are the downfall to my diet... I live an hour away from this place so any time I'm in a close proximity I have to get cookies! This day was no exception. My daughter is always wanting to try the new flavors of the week! I love that o can order on the app, pay, tip and then drive there and they bring my fresh cookies out to me. I don't even have to get out of the car. Way too convenient! The cookies I got were the Cinnamon Toast Crunch and it was a tad dry and crumbly which is so unlike crumbl so I'm not sure if it was just a bad day or what... I also got the chocolate featuring Reese crunch, the cereal milk featuring fruity pebbles and the cornflake marshmallow. The chocolate was ok, I'm never a real fan of the chocolate cookies and that's just my preference, the fruity pebbles was my family's favorite and the cornflake marshmallow reminded me of a Rice Krispie treat made with cornflakes. It was pretty good. I'm pretty thankful that I have to drive an hour to get these. But hey, when I'm close by? Take all my money and give me the sugar!! Amazing cookies all around!

We love you, Crumbl. You have fresh warm cookies from the oven...that I didn't have to bake myself. It's a beautiful thing.

I know they were experimenting with some…read moreitems with dairy a while ago but I did not notice any non-vegan items while I was there, so not sure if that's still a thing. Anyway, it is a little out of the way. It's walkable from downtown but not really in the downtown core. Pretty quiet when I was there, but the atmosphere felt approachable. Some of the chairs were like school desk chairs (adult-sized, of course) that I haven't seen since I was in primary school which was kind of funny. The guy at the counter was cheerful and friendly. They looked like they had run out of some of the hot savory items by Saturday mid-afternoon, but there was still a wide variety of sweets. I believe the current owners are Indian, and you see some of those flavours featured. I got: Samosa handpie: Good, not mind-blowing, but good. Nice flavours. If you like a flaky crust, this is not it, but I liked the rustic pastry crust. Pistachio cardamom donut: Loved it. Before I moved to Bloomington, there were a few bakeries that offered vegan-GF cake donuts that I loved, and this was the first thing I've gotten here that reminded me of that. Pleasant texture and strong cardamom flavour, not too sweet. I think these are baked donuts, so they're a little different from regular fried donuts, but in a good way IMO. Rose dream latte: Milk with rose syrup topped with coconut whip and nuts, no espresso. Tasted great, but more of a dessert drink than I was expecting. The coconut whip was quite thick. The concept could probably use some refinement, because the whip was too thick and rigid to drink without a straw, but the nut pieces were too big to go through a straw, and so I couldn't figure out the best way to drink it. From what I understand, there are some longtime fans of this place who feel like the quality has dropped since the most recent change in ownership, but as someone who had never been here before, I really had a good experience. I get why people would be upset when something changes, but if you are considering trying this place for the first time, I wouldn't be too put off by the negativity around the change in ownership. There's no other place specialized in vegan baking in Bloomington, so I think it's good to support what they are continuing to do here, and even though I am partial to vegan food I wouldn't say that if it wasn't also GOOD. They also had some refreshingly unique options for baked goods.

The owners, a Sikh family, gave us their cardamom donut for free. The samosa hand pies were out. I would rate it 4/5. The decor was nice, and the owners were friendly. We were told that the staff is limited, and the owners themselves are thinking of selling this location and hoping to restart it in Greenwood, where they currently live and actually drive down to Bloomington every day. The matcha latte was fine. Everything was fine but not great. The vegan chocolate chip cookie was good, but could've used more chocolate chips.

First time going today and everything was amazing!…read more We ordered the chicken arepa, the pabellón arepa, and three different tequenos: Venezuelan llanero cheese wrapped in dough and fried as well as guava and jalapeños tequenos. Each were very flavorful and the dough was perfect. I personally enjoyed the chicken arepa the most. We were both very pleased with our meals. The Venezuelan cheese however was not my favorite cheese ever.. so I might ask for it on the side so that it doesn't ruin your whole arepa/sandwich just in case you feel the same. The service was very accommodating and pleasant. The ambiance was clean and decorated very nicely. We will certainly be back for more!

The cookies and muffins and cinnamon roll just seem to melt in your mouth (I'm sure lots of butter is involved). They even have a very good vegan coffee cake! The drinks are not great and consistency is not the name of the game. Maybe the coffee is better than the tea, but the chai tastes more of sugar and cinnamon than tea, and the matcha was very murky, but maybe that's because I got the strawberry matcha and that affected the colour. It didn't taste bad but just didn't taste like quality matcha. They have decent teabags, but the brand and selection varies and is not what's listed on the menu board. They can do a tea latte but don't always have teas that work well with milk. I like the iced tea they make during the summer better than the hot tea. They sometimes have bubble tea, which is made with a machine and is decent (as far as artificially flavoured tea goes) but very sweet. It's a complete gamble as to whether or not the bubble tea machine will actually be on at any given time. I tried to get it in the evening once but was told they usually power it down around 6, so came back around 4:30 next time, but it was off again. I finally did manage to get bubble tea a few times around lunch time and in the morning, but there have also been days where they don't turn it on at all despite displaying the posters for it. Tapioca pearls are on the menu but they seemingly never have them, only the popping pearls. The baristas are students and are sometimes friendly, sometimes not. I would guess there's a combination of high turnover and poor training because some of them just seem very confused. They usually do okay at keeping the line moving though. I come for the baked goods, and just get a drink while I'm at it because I don't want to wait in another line at Starbucks even though I actually think Starbucks makes slightly better drinks.

If Yelp allowed zero stars, that would be my rating…read more My wife and I took our two daughters to Inkwell for breakfast around 9:00 a.m. on a Sunday. It was busy. That's fine. It's Sunday morning in downtown Bloomington. Busy happens. What followed was not "busy." It was astonishingly poor service and even worse problem-solving. My wife and daughters ordered, and then we waited. After AN HOUR, my wife went inside to ask what was happening. She was told, "Sorry, the IU basketball team is here. Let me see what happened." Apparently the arrival of the IU basketball team creates some kind of breakfast singularity in which ordinary customers cease to exist. The employee said they would check. They never came back. Another 45 minutes passed. So after ONE HOUR AND FORTY-FIVE MINUTES, my wife and daughter -- both of whom had been loyal Inkwell customers -- were left feeling like they simply did not matter because more important people had walked through the door. That is what makes this experience so disappointing. Restaurants get busy. Orders get lost. Mistakes happen. But when you discover that a family has been waiting an hour, tell them you will investigate, disappear for another 45 minutes, and then offer essentially no apology, urgency, ownership, or attempt to make things right, that is not a kitchen problem. That is a customer-service problem. Eventually they agreed to refund us. So the single star is awarded because Inkwell did, in fact, return our money after failing to provide breakfast and did not lock the doors to prevent our escape. Cherish it.
