    Yummy cobblers!!
    Joyce D.

This is a relatively new spot in Bloomington; my partner and I have been curious about it. This weekend we decided to stop by and try it. Their place and cute and clean - the menu is displayed on screen. The service is friendly for sure! We ordered a small peach cobbler for $3.99 and small ice cream because we did not know what to expect. To our delight, it turned out to be yummy - better than expected. The cobbler was nice and gooey and it's not all that jelly stuff either .. there were a lot peaches in it. Let's just say it's good enough that we plan on going back and trying out other items on their menu when we find ourselves back in Bloomington again. I hope folks try them out if they are around the area - nice and clean spot, friendly service and yummy food. I hope they stick around!! Check them out if you want to satisfy your sweet tooth!

After waiting what seems like forever for the B-ton Peach Cobbler Factory to open, we finally had the opportunity to head in to see what delicious treats were available. Instagram posts for months were teasing us and the wait was worth it! Located on the square, the PCF is small but a cute space, with a variety of cobblers and banana puddings. They have cookies too, but I wasn't wasting calories on those! Three of us went, service was quick and friendly. Between us, we ordered a cinnamon roll, a dessert flight (choice of any four) and ice cream to pair with the desserts. Our flight choices were: Peach Cobbler (duh), Blackberry Cobbler, Honey Apple Cobbler and Original Banana Pudding. All were great. My son inhaled his cinnamon roll and didn't let me near it. He said it was great. Wife and I shared the rest, and in order I'd say I liked the Banana Pudding best. But that's probably unfair since I'd almost always say it, no matter what. The cobblers in order for me were Apple Honey, Peach then Blackberry. This was a bit of a shock, since I'm normally not a peach fan, but felt obligated to order it since it is the namesake! The Apple Honey was amazing, and all were great. The space is cute but small, with seating for perhaps 12-16 at most. It's counter service so walk right up, choose your options and enjoy. This is a brand new place, and I think they will eventually have some additional options (milkshakes maybe?) - the only criticism I'd share is that I wasn't asked for my loyalty club information (which I had signed up for but forgot and missed out on my points) and any new business should push the loyalty club. The big demerit was that the owner himself was in the restaurant, but he didn't talk to any customers. I thought this was a huge miss. When I open a restaurant someday I'll be chatting up everyone to drive business, really making 'friends' who will be loyal and tell everyone they know about the nice guy with the great food. Take that in the helpful spirit it's intended - it really is a great place and a we'll be back for sure!

    Sampler dessert with ice cream

Definitely try this place out! So delicious!!! We got the sampler dessert with ice cream. Peach cobbler, blackberry cobbler, OG banana pudding and coconut cream banana pudding! All yummy! It's a good way to try multiple things. The service was fast and the place is in a great area to lots of restaurants so stop over after your meal!

Man...allot of options. The brownie with banana pudding flavor with pecans was great!!! Definitely coming back when my sugar count is down, lol

The peach sweet tea is delicious and so is there food! Plus they have the cutest shop to take pictures and enjoy your food! The ambiance is cute and chic! And the service is fast! And my husband said he really loves the food so much he said it's going be dangerous for us

    Oreo pudding

So amazing. I had the Oreo pudding. I didn't realize it would contain bananas, which it was a little bit of a shock, but it was delicious.

Sampler is a great option. The original banana pudding was my favorite.

I've been meaning to try this place on one of my visits to Bloomington. The sampler with 99 cent ice cream is enough for two people to split. Very filling. The cobblers are a little sweet for my taste but my son really liked the mango peach cobbler.

The vegan flavours are somewhat less interesting than the some of the dairy flavours, but still offers some variety: they always carry vegan vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and grasshopper. You can also get any of the vegan flavours in your sundae/blizz/whatever, so this is actually a very good place if you can't or don't want to have dairy. Having tried all of the vegan flavours, I thought the chocolate was actually too cloyingly rich and sweet, but I really liked the others. The vegan ice cream is oat-based, which I prefer over the more common coconut. They also have a rotating selection of soup (with a few meat and a few vegetarian or vegan options available at any given time) in what I assume is a bid to stay relevant during the winter. The ice cream is still the main attraction for me at any time of year but the soup is worth getting if you want to make a meal of it, and it's nice to have something healthy to balance out the ice cream. I have tried the cream of asparagus and carrot ginger. The carrot ginger had shredded carrot in it instead of being a totally smooth puree, which I actually really liked. There is also some summery Americana food like hot dogs and mac and cheese, but I haven't tried any of that so I can't comment. The place has lots of seating inside and outside. It seems like they generally get very busy in the evenings but it's usually quieter during the day. The staff have been friendly in my experience. When I ordered a soup and sundae together, they offered to make the sundae and keep it in the fridge for me until I was ready to eat it, which was nice and thoughtful.

The Venezuelan cheese however was not my favorite cheese ever.. so I might ask for it on the side so that it doesn't ruin your whole arepa/sandwich just in case you feel the same. The service was very accommodating and pleasant. The ambiance was clean and decorated very nicely. We will certainly be back for more!

The hard ice cream is all homemade. I've mostly gotten the cyclones and sundaes with soft serve, but the scoops in my banana split were good. In addition to regular soft serve, they also have Dream DeLite, which is a low glycemic index (diabetic-friendly) yogurt/whey-based soft serve. I like to get this since even the small sizes are pretty big, and the DD feels like a lighter option. By itself, I find the flavor is slightly off from regular vanilla ice cream, but the texture is good, and when it's mixed with different flavors and toppings, I can't really tell the difference. Almost all of the specialty sundaes and cyclones I've tried have hit the spot. My favourites have been the classic banana split sundae, and the mud pie and German chocolate cyclones. The only thing I did not like was the mint Oreo cyclone - the mint flavor was too concentrated and kind of tasted like mint toothpaste (I usually like mint ice cream). The cyclones sometimes aren't blended all the way to the bottom of the cup, but this isn't a big deal. The employees seem to be high school/university students. They're usually friendly and have their operations organized. There are a few other Jiffy Treets locally that I haven't visited, but based on what the other ones put online, this one doesn't have some of the seasonal ice cream flavors or vegan soft serve that some of the other locations advertise.

This is the best ice cream place I've been too. It is not overly sweet or tangy. It is perfect. It's better than Jeni's ice cream in my humble opinion!!! I am an ice cream lover, and this was the absolute best. The service was decent. It's very clear college students work here. The ambience was very chill. You can eat outside or inside. The establishment was very clean. It smelled really good inside of the place. I will be getting a large waffle cone next time that is a popular size to get. You get a lot for your money. However the ice cream is a bit pricey but if you do order a big size its well worth it.

I visited twice for a breakfast and a lunch. Lunch: I had a Black Russian sandwich and a pot of Emperor's Pride tea. The sandwich, which is a vegetarian version of a Reuben with roasted veggies instead of meat, was delicious. They really piled on the veggies. Some fell out of the sandwich, but I just ate them with the home fries. The home fries also were nicely seasoned. The tea was a little off. It's possible it was the tea itself that didn't taste how I expected, but it kind of tasted like I was getting the flavour of a different tea in the pot. Breakfast: Apple pancake and bouquet latte (seasonal special - lavender Ceylon tea latte with honey and rose syrup). The bouquet latte was wonderful and had this beautiful red swirl latte art. The pancake was nice and fluffy. One pancake is something like $5, but one is enough for a complete meal, maybe with a protein side if you're especially hungry. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. The food didn't take very long even though they seemed busy.

Almost every time I've come here, they're either out of something or the fryer is down/not on yet. They have non dairy milk listed on the menu, and the first time I came here, I ordered and received an oolong milk tea with almond milk, but next time, when I tried to order a green milk tea with soy milk, they said all the milk teas were made with non-dairy creamer and they could only do the alt milk for lattes. All that aside, I have never been unhappy with anything that I actually got. Their matcha latte (regular or strawberry) is pretty good and the honey boba is excellent. The regular sugar level is too sweet for me, but less sweet is great. The cheese corn dog varies in the ratio of cornbread to cheese and how "done" it's cooked, but I've never gotten one that was bad. The most recent one I got was the best. They are kind of difficult and messy to eat because the melted cheese doesn't want to stay on the stick with the breading weighing it down. I haven't had the issue with the super long wait time again. The corn dog normally takes about 10 minutes because of how long it takes to make the thing, drinks are usually ready sooner. Most of the baristas are friendly, some not so much. I have gotten the eye roll once when I asked for a topping they were out of even though there was no way I could have known this. I do think it's overall worth it to come here, because again, the product is good and the cafe space is cute, but the situation where you can't count on anything being available is frustrating.
