They had recently moved and we were told that they lost the book with our order. They still had the picture of the cake we wanted but no information on numbers of cupcakes, cake balls, or flavors. Mind you we only found out because we reached out to them... Okay crap happens so I asked if we could meet up again and go over and offered have a date that worked with our schedules because my fiancé only has one weekend off a month. I explained that and said that I didn't remember the flavors we had decided on and would like to meet anyway. The owner read the message and never replied. After talking to my fiancé we decided that we would go a different direction with our wedding and I sent another message to let them know that and told them I hoped they had a great week. Again, they read the message and didn't reply. You cannot comment on fb to leave a review so that's why I'm doing it here. The treats are delicious but the lack of response and communication of this mistake has really turned me off from them and I won't be going back. Now 2.5 months before our wedding we are working to book someone else. I know it'll all work out but still it's an inconvenience and the fact that we haven't heard anything else from the shop is a huge disappointment.

I was going to try and fix it myself when I got home but I was afraid I would make it worse. The whole thing just felt sloppy. Taste: This cake was not good. The layers of actual cake was thick and dry and the "filling" was so thin. The icing was thick that almost everyone picked most of it off and there was so much left over. They looked like they had run out of some of the hot savory items by Saturday mid-afternoon, but there was still a wide variety of sweets. I believe the current owners are Indian, and you see some of those flavours featured. I got: Samosa handpie: Good, not mind-blowing, but good. Nice flavours. If you like a flaky crust, this is not it, but I liked the rustic pastry crust. Pistachio cardamom donut: Loved it. Before I moved to Bloomington, there were a few bakeries that offered vegan-GF cake donuts that I loved, and this was the first thing I've gotten here that reminded me of that. Pleasant texture and strong cardamom flavour, not too sweet. I think these are baked donuts, so they're a little different from regular fried donuts, but in a good way IMO. Rose dream latte: Milk with rose syrup topped with coconut whip and nuts, no espresso. Tasted great, but more of a dessert drink than I was expecting. The coconut whip was quite thick. The concept could probably use some refinement, because the whip was too thick and rigid to drink without a straw, but the nut pieces were too big to go through a straw, and so I couldn't figure out the best way to drink it. From what I understand, there are some longtime fans of this place who feel like the quality has dropped since the most recent change in ownership, but as someone who had never been here before, I really had a good experience. I get why people would be upset when something changes, but if you are considering trying this place for the first time, I wouldn't be too put off by the negativity around the change in ownership. There's no other place specialized in vegan baking in Bloomington, so I think it's good to support what they are continuing to do here, and even though I am partial to vegan food I wouldn't say that if it wasn't also GOOD. The cupcakes are more on the smaller side, which is great with me because they are so rich -- you really only need two or three bites and you're satisfied. The frosting on the cupcakes tastes like it's a buttercream base. The cupcakes are meticulously decorated -- all of them had a sprinkling of edible gold, so it felt that much more elevated.
