First time ever going to Crumbl. Great customer service, was greeted as soon as I walked in. Placed my order via the app and it was super easy to use. Once I walked in, was greeted and asked if I placed my order online, only had to wait a few minutes while they finished up my orders. Although a little pricey, cookies were delicious. Some were a little sweeter than expected but they were delicious! I got a tres leches cake as well, it was good, not too thrilled about the cinnamon but it was good. Shocked by the low rating, the cookies here are great. I remembered when it first opened, the lines were super long, even if you preordered them. I decided to wait a bit until the hype died down. Now there are barely any lines anytime I come in. The flavors change weekly, except for the chocolate chip one, which is always on the menu. I personally love to check out the weekly cookie menu, there is always something in it that I like to try. My personal favorite is salted caramel cheesecake and of course, chocolate chip is always the star, especially when they are warmed up. Service can be hit or miss, hence the four stars instead of five. Sometimes, they are super warm and friendly, other times, they are stand-off and make you wait for awhile even though there isn't another customer. I was a little hesitant in trying this cookie shop when one of my friends told me about it. Staff: The staff here look like robots and do not smile, greet, or thank the customers. They just take the customers' orders and then the customers wait for the orders to be ready. I believe that the customer service here needs to be trained over again. They do not give you a receipt when you pay with card or cash. Cleanliness: It is beyond hot in this shop and there is no air conditioning while the customers are waiting. You can see cookie pieces/crumbs on the floor behind the cashier. You can also see used gloves on the floors as well. Wait: It is ridiculous that customers have to wait about 15 to 20 minutes just to order. Then we are told that they are out of certain flavors leaving us with only two cookie flavors to choose from. It is also ridiculous that we had to wait an extra 10 to 15 minutes just to wait for the two cookie flavors to be prepared by the staff. Milk Chocolate Chip: This was a huge disappointment as there was no milk chocolate taste to it. Also, you can taste the dough from the cookie and when you look at the cookie after taking a bite you can see that it was not baked/cooked all the way. Galaxy Brownie: This was horrible as this tasted as if they just mashed a bunch of junk together. I do not even know what this is supposed to taste like as the named is deceiving with no brownie taste. Rocky Road: I am confused with what this is supposed to taste like as well. I tasted some nuts that are on top I assume. This also seemed like it was mashed together with some junk and was not baked/cooked all the way as well. My friend's dad got a stomachache after eating this. Overall: This place is over-priced with cookies that are not baked/cooked all the way and is a waste of money. They need to retrain the staff with customer service and take some basic baking classes. It is horrible that they are selling cookies that are not baked perfectly and has no taste to it. Crumbl is super hit or miss with me on the rotating flavors. I feel like I usually really enjoy about three out of the six unique cookies and, to be honest, that's just not enough for me personally to justify consistently returning for new flavors considering how pricey the box of baked goods is. When they're good, they're really good, but when they're not, it's just kind of disappointing. The staff is super friendly and make sure to show you your order before you head out of the door to ensure accurate cookie count and flavor selection. This specific location was really tiny, with most of the space being where the employees were working behind the counter. Customer service is non-existent at this store. I went in to buy a gift card. Apparently this request was a huge inconvenience. The staff member who finally deigned to speak to me responded by saying "You want a WHAT?". Then dismissively waved in the direction of the cards and the self -serve computer screen. The store goes for a minimal aesthetic, and they have a rotating menu with their currently available cookies on display. The place was very crowded, so it took me over 15 minutes to get my cookie after ordering. I was really excited to try the carrot cake cookie, especially when I saw how thick and soft the cookie looked, which is how I usually like them! For my taste, it was cloyingly sweet and pretty underbaked - and I'm someone who doesn't mind taking my baked goods out of the oven a little early for an extra chewy feeling. I went with a 6 pack of different cookies tasty they were offering this specific week. I like that they such up their flavors too something different each week. I really enjoyed these cookies. They are nice and large, so you get your money worth for sure. You only need to eat one, as they are filling. My favorite 2 that I tried were the chocolate peanut butter one and strawberry cheesecake one. But overall, from the ones I tried, they were all good. It's located probably less than a mile off the parkway. If you know this area, you know how crazy driving around here is. It's congested with people all the time. This is the type of place where you're just "running in" to pick up cookies, but sometimes I've had to park a bit away and walk. The cookies are always ready when I order ahead using the app, which you should always do! The cookies themselves are good, but there have been times where I feel I was not given the appropriate amount of toppings on the cookie. The staff is nice and always welcomes you when you walk in. Located in Clark Commons on Raritan Rd next to the Aqua Tots swim school (the side with Michaels and Whole Foods, at the very right hand corner). Meh. Very underwhelming experience. No one was greeting or saying hi when I walked in. There were a few people waiting for cookies. Girl at the cash register wasn't paying attention. I ordered 3 cookies and by the time she entered my 3rd one, she forgot my first one. She couldn't explain the crumbl cream to me when I asked if it was cookie dough or ice cream. After ordering you wait in the pickup area which was crowded for someone to call your name. While waiting one person from the back yelled Welcome to Crumbl when people entered. Haha. Kinda ferocious greeting. Pretty expensive for what it is. $4.83 per cookie, so almost $15 for 3. They're not that big for the price. They're very cakey on the inside. Outside had a light crisp and inside was gooey. Nice texture and a nice way to appeal both crispy and chewy lovers. The dark dream was good but not as good as it looked, honestly could have been more chocolatey or more wow, it was very caky and the aftertaste is just like eating a square of dark chocolate, kinda bitter but smooth. Also got the chocolate chip and the berries & cream (only one served chilled other than the classic pink. All others served warm). The store was crowded and chaotic, with frustrated customers and unfulfilled orders. If you pre-order, give yourself an extra 2 hours because they won't have your order ready on time. I hate to give a Crumbl a low rating but the lack of cleanliness and inattentive staff made this an atypical Crumbl experience. I placed a mobile pick up order which was easy peasy. However when I walked in no one said hello and there was a woman waiting in line trying to figure out how to order behind a couple who had already placed their order and were just lingering around. Meanwhile while a staff member front was just chatting with a friend. I went to the pickup counter which was needed to be whipped down and was not acknowledged until a staff member brought out someone else's order. The cookies were amazing but I'll be going back to my regular location. I think my obsession with Crumbl is beyond the average. I was SO excited when I found out one was opening close by! The customer service is almost always on point with being greeted and helped as soon as you walk in. When you order, I like that you get a chance to review your cookies to check they're correct. It's a simple, bright, clean, and upbeat atmosphere, which makes it easy to just walk up, order, and be on your way. I loveeeee the app! I enjoy the rewards program and I am quite a fan of mobile order! This helps make sure you're not waiting (it can get crowded sometimes) and you know which cookies are available. I love following Crumbl on Instagram to see what flavors they're making next. I like that each week is something different. The cookies are delicious! Since they're quite large, I've gone as far as purchasing the official cookie cutter that evenly cuts my cookies into 4 pieces. I store them in the fridge and enjoy them for a few days at a time reheated from the microwave. I can easily say Crumbl is one of my favorite and one of the best cookie chains.
