Terrible customer service! My girlfriend and I were finishing up lunch in Riverside Plaza when we decided to get dessert at Crumbl Cookies. I had heard a lot of good things about this franchise so I was really excited to try it for the first time. I walk in and the three workers were hovering in the back and avoiding coming to the register to help me. In good faith, I assumed that they were busy with other orders and called a worker to help me once she got the chance. One worker acknowledged my call and said she'd be over in a minute with what seemed like an eye roll. A few moments later she asked "What do you need?" with the most attitude packed in a statement you could imagine. And at that point I tried to keep the interaction as short as possible to prevent it from ruining anymore of my day. Some changes need to be made. read more

I ordered my best friend a dozen box of cookies with the option of a Happy Birthday sticker and a cute note attached since I couldn't be with he to celebrate. Once the placed the order I went about my work day and it wasn't until later on that night I realized that I hadn't heard from my best friend, I called her to check to see if she had received my gift. She was surprised to find out that the cookies were from me because they were addressed to someone different with a completely different message and the cookies were not what I had ordered specifically for her. I called the store and spoke with assistant manager about concern and she basically told me that there was nothing that they can do because regardless she had received an order of cookies even if it wasn't specifically what I ordered. I paid $62 plus tip for a box of cookies, which I wouldn't have had a problem with because it was the sentiment of it that I cared about but once that was taken away from it it's just another box of cookies. read more

It's Saturday, 4:30 pm, there were a few people waiting for their online order, i was next in line and there was one person behind me. the baker/manager over there stopped baking and come to the front, asked all of us to go wait outside, which at the time thought it was the smart thing to do since it was getting crowded little by little. People were getting their orders and leaving, the person in front of me was paying before we were asked to go outside. The line was getting longer and longer, people who were waiting for their online order were not getting their cookies. People came up to the baker (she was holding the front door) and asking for their orders, it took her so long to get it for them. Everyone is taking their and leaving, the bakery is empty, even the person who was in front of me received her order and had gone out. And she wouldn't let us in!!! It's was so frustrating and we left. That person literally wanted to feel important and in charge, she'd look at the line getting longer and say "wow it's really building up!", and continue to hold the line. This is one of the worst Crumbl cookies I have ever been to. It was dirty and they only had three out of the six cookies available. The workers were not friendly at all and seemed annoyed to be asked any questions. Not a great experience at all sadly. My fiancée and I wanted to see what the hype has been for this place. It was are first time here and they were open until 10pm. There were customers standing all over in the front and the workers were in the back prepping cookies. It was really confusing on how to place your order. Someone was blocking the tablet on the wall you could order from. When we saw it we walked over and placed our order for one a birthday cake and one chocolate chip at $4.50 each. I really wanted to loves these cookies. I love sweets and have been baking nonstop for Christmas. But unfortunately they were severely underbaked and tasted like globs of flour. It tasted like one of those store bought processed cookies that had flour stuffed in the middle. The chocolate chip cookie was raw in the middle and was hard on the outside. We unfortunately threw both cookies away. $10 for two cookies is insane. Homemade will always be better. read more

Today I stopped at the Riverside Crumbl Cookie location. I usually go to the Point Loma location near my place of employment. I ordered a 6 pack for my family. The Twix cookie was definitely a disappointment. See attached photos of advertised cookie vs. actual purchased cookie. We are paying premium prices for these cookies (25.00 after tax for 6 cookies) and it upsets me when these franchises skimp on their toppings to save money. I also tipped 15% and now regret it. Have never had this issue with the Point Loma location. When I pointed it out to the girl behind the counter her response was, "Sorry buts thats all we have right now". For those who have had issues with this franchise and their response is "they will forward your concern to corporate" that's another misleading fact as corporate states in their info online that each franchise is individually owned and concerns should be handled directly with the franchise. Will never go back to this location. Thanks for the poor customer service. read more

So I've had these cookies twice without ever going into the shop. Just by luck! My husband works in an office that gets a lot of special treats. After trying some of these delicious cookies I had to find the store. Located on the little strip street in the Riverside Plaza shopping area it's not hard to find. It's just a bit more of a walk than some people can do because parking is sparse. So I found them I got inside and they had three cookie selections left. I wasn't deterred, I actually probably would've ordered more but I was happy with just one. I know their cookies are delicious and I'm trying to lose weight anyways. So I did tip them and when I asked for a sticker I was told it cost a dollar and that bummed me out pretty hard! Lol I am completely a sticker fanatic but I thought a little I love you I'm top of my husband's cookie would be nice. Well four dollars for one cookie is pricey a dollar for a sticker is kind of ridiculous. Doesn't matter ^ I know you'll stay in business forever because the cookies are freaking delicious! Lol Oh last bit of a little annoyance, I got a text message saying I would get points for leaving my opinion and I try to do it two hours later after arriving home and it expired already!
