I was in the area and decided to stop by to try the only cookie in the line up that really interested me and I was a bit surprised at the appearance. It was a very chunky cookie but compared to the pictures and prior reviews I've seen usually the frosting isn't a messy glop that isn't even centered or fully distributed. Of course, aesthetics mean nothing when it comes to taste which brings me to the fact that this cookie was absolutely delicious. The store itself was a little on the messy side but we arrived at around 8:30pm so I'm assuming it may have been a rough day. The cookies? Decent. No complaints there. The experience? Not so much. The area outside is often a mess, with kids leaving trash behind and treating the place like a free-for-all. And after digging into the ingredients, it's clear these are ultra-processed desserts--packed with emulsifiers, artificial colors, flavorings, and other additives. Great for a quick indulgence, but probably not something your future self will thank you for. These are the ugliest cookies I ever got from Crumbl. Looks absolutely not as advertised. I've been to a few locations, including Stamford and Norwalk etc. I usually go to the Fairfield because it's the closest location and I'm very sorry I came to Shelton. Look at my cookies, what an epic fail, does not look as advertised; these were advertised as pretty but very ugly. I will never come back to this location because Fairfield is closer to me.. and never did me dirty like this. I don't even want this ugly cookies anymore. We cldnt wait to try to the Dubai chocolate brownie. I placed my order and my husband went in. The Manager told him and a bunch of other customers that they didn't have the full size Dubaii Brownie so they had to give everyone 2 minis. The staff also said they knew they wouldn't have enough. How is that possible when this is the first day they are being sold?!! This is unacceptable. I paid an up charge for the Brownie and you give me two minis??? And not some of my money back! If you've ever wondered what it would be like to buy a cookie at an auto dealership, it would look a lot like this. You make your selections on a touchscreen device. The "base" cookie is five bucks. There's nothing special about them. Then you can "upgrade" your cookie with fillings, toppings (and, I guess, probably rustproofing, fabric protection, paint protection, an extended warranty, and maybe the Rallye Fun Pak). Once you finish selecting your options, you get to select a "Tip Amount", even though at this point, you haven't even met a human being yet. Oh, and apparently, you can only select 30% if you're "super cool". I wish I was making that up. Someone then puts your package of cookies on the counter. They're room-temperature, by the way. They didn't even call my name, you're supposed to figure out that your name is shown on a small display mounted up by the ceiling. Eighteen bucks for three forgettable cookies, plus tip. We have gone to the Milford Crumbl multiple times. We enjoy Crumbl cookies but unfortunately it can be a hit or miss. Milford tends to under bake their cookies and we have received raw dough not once but multiple times. We have much better luck when we purchase from other Crumbl locations. read more
