I decided to sign up since they had a special going on at the first of the year. I  finally went there for the first time the other day (thb I am also a member of 2 other gyms) so that's why it took me so long to visit. It was a Saturday morning about 10am and the gym was not busy which is good. I only went to do cardio which they have a ton of machines there (treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes) and they even have a few upstairs so you can watch people below you (weird). This probably isn't a helpful review since I haven't explored each and every area of the gym, but suffice to say they seem to have adequate weights and space, a HIIT area and decent machines for those that don't like free weights. They have childcare (extra$) and a smoothie bar or something like that which I didn't try. next time I may actually perform a full workout so I can provide a more helpful review. The hours aren't too bad. Check the website to be sure. Please note that the basic rate of 9.99 pretty much only gives you access to walk in and work out. If you require any of the additional features or need a trainer, that comes with the addition packages or additional costs. There are also additional costs associated with the 9.99 membership so just be sure you understand all the small print. When I was there, I did not see any sweaty guys with no shirts on the machines, nor could I detect any grunting or sounds that resemble ancient man taking down a mastodon. I didn't hear any clanging and banging or weights being dropped and someone yelling like they got hot sauce in their eye so its a relatively safe place if you fear creatures that fall lower on the evolutionary scale. This is definitely not a "hardcore" gym. Temperature was cool enough to keep bacteria from replicating. They have fancy trash cans which have wipes built in to them and I was able to wipe down my equipment. as far as how busy they are, I probably should go there on ICD and see how many people are there.  (for those of you that don't know, ICD is "international chest day" or Monday to the layperson). Most of this, like I said, was not informative. I would suggest going by there and making your own determination. If you are someone wanting to get in better shape and have never worked out, this place may be ideal for you. if you are an experienced fitness enthusiast  then they may lack a few things to support your fitness journey. read more

It's a nice place to work out until staff approaches you with sales pitch. Cody made my daughter in law very uncomfortable pretty much keeping her from working out and apparently doesn't know what "no" means. I get that his job is sales but when you are being aggressive and forceful when a young woman says no she does not want to sign up for training, and he kept asking "why, why, why" then that's a problem. He would not take no for an answer and would not leave her alone. I have emailed corporate and no I do not want to go to the location and speak to anyone there. I want a phone call from corporate. Cody needs sales training and learn the meaning of "no". My daughter in law also told him she is unemployed and yet he still was pretty much forcing her to pay for training she clearly did not want. read more

Horrible Club!! They have charged me for services not rendered for PT even after I signed cancellation paperwork and prior spoke with an employee who claim he suspended my account, but it was a LIE. The absolute worst gym I have ever had a membership to. After canceling TWICE for a male worker harassing me over the phone, they are still trying to charge me to fulfill my year-long "contract." I was harassed for not wanting to do the "personal training" they offer, and I felt uncomfortable going into the gym after that call. I just recently joined this gym after my previous gym shut down, and I found that their customer service is exceptional. The front desk associate who helped me sign up gave me a detailed rundown of all the amenities and what's included in each payment plan, and helped me find the most affordable plan for me. I was also given bring a guest passes and free class passes upon signing up, which no other gym has provided and it impressed me greatly. The personal trainers Dante and Zak are awesome, Dante is very personable and explains everything very well and Zak assisted me with proper form while I was originally working out on my own. He went out of his way to set me up with an appointment to help fix my form so that I can workout without hurting my body. I love the way the gym is set up, and have been so excited about the punching bags provided. Everything is very clean and easy to find. If you are looking for a good gym, I would 100% recommend this facility. read more

Everything could improve. Came for Band Camp with Kathleen. Ended up being some sort of geriatric format, no bands were used. Opted for cardio instead and the stairmaster I initially got on was under repair, but there was no sign or anything to let me know. Thank goodness for the gentleman on a stairstepper next to mine! I had an account here. Some how a card I used to pay for personal trainer appointments got linked to someone else's account. I have been charged since May 2023 to August 2024. I have called, emailed, left messages, and personally showed up and continue to get the run around on my $600+ refund for over 2 months now. Not to mention I'm getting countless interest charges on my credit card due to these charges. Everyone is always in a meeting but they will "be sure to give me a call back". Spoiler alert, they in fact do not call back. There is no number for corporate and the onsite team have proven useless. Overall, it's a decent gym. Tons of cardio equipment, lots of benches, and a big hiit zone area. But, for it being brand new, some issues are already apparent. It's messy, people don't re-rack their weights, and the cleaning wipe canisters are constantly empty! This results in people not whipping down their benches and machines. The trainer staff, or staff in general, never walks around to clean up the facility. Gym etiquette here is lacking. This gym is definitely no Chuze or Vasa Fitness. They could learn a thing or two from those gyms/businesses.. I wish they were here in Texas! read more

I'm not sure why this gym has such bad reviews either. I switched from planet fitness to crunch and one of the main reasons was for the kid center. As a former member of Lifetime Fitness I think crunch has a lot to offer at a decent price. I've personally never had any issues. The gym is clean, staff is friendly and I'm sooooo glad they added a sauna. One thing I think could be better is the spray to clean the machines shouldn't be hanging on the trash that's unsanitary. Some places they do have a holder on the wall for it and that should be standard. Otherwise they offer turf for sleds and just an overall great space to train. It's never super busy when I go. They also have classes but I've never personally attended any. read more

I usually very much enjoy my time at this gym, HOWEVER, the PT named Michael Williams was VERY condescending and rude to me. They were having a promotion to do a kickoff for 10$, I explained that i did not personally need one but i would be interested in having one for my husband as he does not get as much time in the gym and i would like to maximize his time in the gym so he can meet his goals. He (Michael) said that was fine and i paid 10$ for a kickoff session for my husband. Cool. Sunday comes around and i come in with my husband. The first half of the kickoff went fine but it went downhill during the summary and nutrition discussion at the end. Michael was very rude to me when I mentioned that i enjoy oatmeal as part of my (and husband) breakfast options. He suddenly became very condescending toward me and asked me if i knew how processed oats were and "if they really were" a good choice. And when i said yes, they are a good source of fiber and carbs, he made a face at me and repeated "are they?" In a mocking tone, he essentially tried to gaslight me as if i had no idea what i was talking about. Even if i was incorrect, his response to my statement was unprofessional and rude. I don't believe it is very professional to make a face at a client and mockingly ask "is it?". And i asked him what his proof, genuinely curious of his reasoning against oats and all he kept saying was "it's processed". He then continued to say that the only protein supplement option we should consider is protein shakes. I wonder if he knows that the protein powders used to make shakes are processed too and that whey protein isolate doesn't grow out of the ground like oats do. While i did emphasize that the session was more for my husband than me, everything i said was met with either condescension or silence. We also explained that my husband only has time 3-4 days a week to commit to the gym, Michael decided to make a 5-6 day plan even though we explained that was not a realistic goal for my husband's schedule. I will certainly NOT be recommending Michael's PT services to anyone and recommend he try being less rude when speaking to others and turn on his listening ears when others are speaking to him. Michael had a very elitist approach and it struck me as "my way is the correct way, every other way is the wrong way". He was not working with my husband's timeline and goals, he attempted to coerce my husband into his (michael). He spoke to me as if i was uneducated and had no idea what i was talking about, despite it being very established i know more about what i'm doing in the gym than my husband. Do not book anything with Michael, unless you enjoy having someone speak to you like a child. read more

Even the person who signed me up paid the one cent promo with their bank card and told me my first payment was not supposed to come out till next month I got hit five days later With the fee which I was not expecting and then late fees because I locked my card in my account now I'm having to pay for 90 days for something that I was falsely advertised not happy. Day 1, they say you are required to get 40+ sales per month, then 30 of those or more are required to get PT sessions. They say you are required to get 30+ people per day to like and share on FB. Here is the kicker. They ever once said 1 thing about what the customer actually thinks, all they care about is wasting your time and taking your money They REQUIRE employees to purchase their merchandise. They REQURE employees to do training off the clock They REQUIRE employees to market off the clock. Just to keep their job, employees were coming in on their days off, unpaid to sell memberships, since OT is not allowed. We have another cult coming to Waco About the PTs. They are "chosen" before they are a PT. Then they pass a simple test, and poof, they're a PT. All they do is memorize scripts. Odds are they will make you do lunges and say you're stronger to one side and then more scripts. I played For TCU, trained with UT, I've gone head to head with MANY NFL players. Being in the military, I had to relocate, and I couldn't complete my added services. Additionally it re-billed me for the services that I couldn't use due to my relocation. I have no idea why this gym has a low rating! This gym is the shit! The people who work here are totally rad; great personalities, super welcoming and helpful. Specifically always had great experiences with Josh and Dawn, everyone else was great too just didn't catch other names. Gym is always super clean, nicely organized, new machines, tons of room, tanning and hydro massage. Also they give you a free session with a PT when you sign up (like most gyms) but this guy was definitely the best I've interacted with. Friendly and professional, very helpful and absolutely not pushy at all; again can't remember the name but wanna say Chris. Basically the perfect gym AND one of the cheapest. Mind you, there is nothing written about this charge anywhere in the contract nor is it posted anywhere. So how do you just arbitrarily say I have to pay a fee without it being in writing ANYWHERE? For that matter, they can just make up a fee and charge it at any time for anything. And when I told them to show me where it was written, they couldn't, and then the little guy got snarky with me about it. Sorry, but you can't just make fees up as you go. I have seen tremendous progress in my strength, balance and general well-being in the three months since I started with the Crunch Fitness personal training program. When I turned 65, I realized that I was weak and getting weaker, no stamina even for prolonged standing, no core strength, unsteady and developing an old lady's gait and posture. I'm too young for that! I had to do something drastic to get strong and upright again. All of the personal trainers seem personable and dedicated to their clients, no matter what their level of fitness. I do workouts alongside people who are real powerhouses and people who are nearly as debilitated as I was. Nobody looks down on anyone else - everyone is encouraging. My trainer, Jamaica, has been an absolute Godsend for me. I'm building visible muscle, my posture is better, I feel more energetic and I don't tire as fast when mowing the lawn or doing heavy cleaning. Might seem like nothing to a lot of people, but it was a huge milestone for me the first time I could actually get up off of the floor without help. I can get down and play with my grandson and pop right back up again. I feel better on my workout days than any other - Jamaica seems to know just how far to push me toward my goals without causing injury. I don't use much of the equipment, but there's a lot of it and I've never noticed anyone standing around waiting. The facility is always immaculately clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. It's one of the best things I've ever done for myself and it's worth every penny. read more

This gym has a potential to be a really good gym, but the only downfall is the class that happens in the morning around 5-5:30AM takes up THE ENTIRE core area & the turf & during this period you cannot use it until they are finished.
