I signed up with Snap Fitness back home in Lexington, KY, knowing they are all over the place. I…read moretravel a lot for work and I am staying in the Dallas area, and I will say, this is the best Snap Fitness in the surrounding Dallas area. The other snap fitnesses in the area did not have a free weighted bench press. This one did! Third times the charm, right? They have everything I need. Very open space so it doesn't feel too crowded. Great location too! Most gyms are cold, so I usually bring a hoodie, 1 to sweat and 2 to keep my muscles warm. Here, it was perfect. I was able to take my hoodie off without freezing to death. This location will be seeing me for the next 4 weeks while I stay in Dallas.

This has been the ONLY gym I have felt comfortable in. The GM at this location, Monica, has been…read morethe prime encouragment and inspiration for me in joining. She is also a personal trainer here, and if I didnt already have my boyfriend to guide me & drag me to the gym 4 times a week, I would DEFINITELY hire her as a personal trainer. The gym is ALWAYS very clean, you can tell the other members take care of the equipment and the staff are very helpful! It's very close-knit, or very hands-off if you want it to be. I enjoy the cleanliness, the 24 Hour access, and the safety security amenities they offer. You need a membership badge to get in and anyone who enters is encouraged to scan, even if someone opens the door for you. They're really big on accountability and put member safety first. I love this gym!

NEW AND EXISTING MEMBERS BEWARE…read more I've been a YMCA member in this network for 30+ years and have always valued the community -- until my recent experience with a YMCA in this network. I had to relocate for work and asked to end my membership early. While I understood the annual contract, the branch staff treated me as little more than a customer at a cellphone store, rigidly enforcing policy without any empathy or support. When I escalated the issue, leadership responded with a canned policy explanation, completely ignoring how cold and impersonal the interaction felt. This experience has left me frustrated and disappointed, and I will be sharing my story publicly and discussing it with current members so they understand how situations like mine are handled. It's not about the money -- it's about the lack of compassion from a place that claims to be community-focused. I can no longer recommend this branch YMCA to anyone.

If you want to see something point North, let me take off my pants and impress you…read more No lizard was found here. Wires crossed. The North Family YMCA is really nice. The locker rooms are spacious and the people at the front desk are extremely friendly. They did not try to figure out if we were really members, and just let us right in, and we're very concerned about the flooding from the hurricane, and happy to have us there. They need a lot more benches. They only have a couple and it's just not enough so there is often a wait for a bench. They have extra benches upstairs, but the weights only go up to 40lb up there, so a lot of people wanting to lift weights would not even be able to use those benches if the downstairs ones get crowded. The cardio upstairs is pretty good, but they only have two bikes that I could possibly use and they are usually being used. One time I actually had to wait because a gym employee was using one of the bikes. Once he realized I was waiting for the bike he quickly got off it but still it proves that this type of bike should be more plentiful since it's the only thing which seems to always be in use. The men's showers are fine, and the locker room is nice. Parking is good and the facility is located close to the Interstate 30 and very convenient just near the stadium, where you can often hear the stadium screaming I am a stadium whenever you drive to Meerut. I mean near it. Or even when you're not near it to be honest. They have good cables for chest exercises and their other machines are okay. Overall, it earns a four star rating and is a great place. And one North Family that I'd expect to be a big family is the Peter North Family. I mean the guy just had so much coming out of, well, you know. You'd just assume. Anyway.

The atmosphere gives the impression that if you are older, overweight, or simply not part of the young crowd, you are made to feel unwelcome and discouraged from coming in. Instead of treating all paying members with respect, the environment often feels selective, judgmental, and unnecessarily hostile toward older adults. :::writing{variant="social_post" id="46192"} As an older adult in my 50s/60s, I feel genuinely concerned and disappointed by the way my wife and I have been treated at EōS Fitness. It honestly feels like this gym only wants younger people under 30 and makes older members feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Back in 2023, I opened a membership for both of us during a promotion they were offering for around $10. On our very first visit, we were immediately stopped at the entrance and given a hard time. Because of how uncomfortable the experience felt, we verbally cancelled the membership on the spot and left the gym. We never returned after that day. Despite this, the cancellation was apparently never processed, and I continued being charged for months afterward until I finally stopped the charges myself. What makes this situation even more concerning is that this gym clearly tracks unpaid accounts and blocks people from entering if payments are not current. Their system immediately flags accounts if there is a balance issue. So it makes no sense that they continued charging and eventually claimed I was "in collections" years later even though we had stopped going entirely after verbally cancelling. A year later, my wife decided to give the gym another chance and opened a new membership under her name for both of us. Since then, almost every visit has become stressful. We barely even attend -- less than once a week -- yet every time we walk in, we are stopped, questioned, and treated as if there is always some kind of issue with our account. Meanwhile, younger members walk in freely without being questioned at all. After nearly a year of these repeated confrontations, it honestly feels like discrimination against older adults. We are paying members and still made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome every single time we enter. On top of that, there were ongoing billing issues involving charges appearing in different places/accounts for the same membership, and despite repeated attempts to fix the situation, nobody properly resolved it. The final incident happened when I was suddenly told I was "in collections" over an issue from 2024 despite having an active membership that had been paid for almost a year. The employee who stopped us, Maddy Barrios, refused to provide any information about management or who we could contact to file a complaint. We repeatedly asked for a manager's name, phone number, or corporate contact information, and she refused to provide anything, stating that she was the highest authority at the gym. I truly hope the owners understand that older adults deserve the same respect and welcoming environment as younger members. Many people in their 50s and 60s are financially stable, loyal paying customers, and should not be treated as though they are unwanted at the gym entrance. :::
