Some advice, if you're going to give your credit card to a company that practices like this, is to make sure you block them with your credit card company after your membership is up. ( the following is a reply to the reply from one life) Hi Kelly, I think it might be wise to get some facts straight before you reply. Your regional manager never "explained" anything. After looking through the internal notes of the account, the general manager thought I should be refunded. But he could not authorize such a large refund and had to kick it up the chain to the regional manager. After many attempts, the regional manager essentially ignored the flagged requests from the general manager. So please, do your due diligence and look through the internal notes on the account. I don't judge a company by the mistakes they make, but how they fix them.

I typically went during the mornings and found that I rarely had to wait for equipment, which is always a plus. Better experience here than most gyms I have been to.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming and very knowledgeable. they all seem to enjoy working there. I had a minor issue when I first joined and Jay was incredibly kind and supportive and as someone who suffers from terrible anxiety and depression, knowing that I had someone there I could go to with any problems has kept me going back. I usually quit going to the gym after three months. I recently had a heart attack, sadly it runs in my family, and I was having a lot of anxiety around getting back to the gym and Jay, Amy and DJ, my personal trainer, have given me the extra support I needed. DJ and Amy are phenomenal trainers. I've read some of the complaints about this gym, they're the same complaints every gym receives. Yes they have hours where it's super busy. Yes some members lack gym etiquette. Overall, this gym is very clean. They have an enormous amount of equipment. They had a large variety of classes. They have a pool and you can bring your kids from 12-3. They have a sauna and recovery room. I will say the red light room timer cutes off after five minutes instead of ten but that's the only negative thing I can say about this gym. For the most part, people here are friendly and I've seen one person recording their workout. There are some questionable wardrobe choice from some of the female members, but not many. If you are looking to get healthier, I highly recommend this gym. They have many personal trainers to choose from and the management staff is fantastic. It's also very easy to pause or cancel your membership if you need to. There is ample parking and there are a lot of great buisnesses nearby including Crossroads Church if you are looking for a great church.

Yoga isn't cheap and I'm picky about where I practice yoga for that reason. Much of my practice takes place at home but that's about to change now that I moved to Frederick. Stopped in over the weekend to give Sol a try and purchased the 2-week new student special for $25. I've taken two classes already, gentle yoga and a vinyasa flow (all levels). Wonderful vibe, excellent instructors, tons of class offerings/workshops and reasonable prices. They offer all sorts of options; if you're not interested in packages you can drop in and they offer discounted rates for some of their classes, just check the schedule. You can pay online or in person. I love that they offer complementary hot tea, by local tea shop Voila which is only minutes down the road. I've reviewed them as well (5 stars.. amazing tea). Not only am I so happy to now be living in Frederick, but the icing on the cake is that I have a wonderful yoga studio I can come to all the time to help me sustain my personal practice. I'd never done yoga before but I figured pre-natal classes wouldn't be too hard since we fatsos can't move too quickly. Well, the instructors make sure you move and change poses carefully but that doesn't mean you don't get a workout! Particularly after Keri's class, I left with sore muscles and feeling like I'd had my first real workout in months! The front desk staff is very friendly and you can rent mats or buy water there. They also offer tea, which is a nice touch. If you're worried about your class filling up, making resevations via the online system is a breeze. I don't have other studios to compare Sol Yoga to but the rooms are large so that people aren't jammed in next to each other. The building also has its own parking lot in back which is almost unheard of in downtown Frederick. Namaste!

What really sets this studio apart is the hospitality and attention to detail.
