I am a long-time Crunch Fitness member from the West Hollywood location, currently in town on business, and I have to say this was one of the most unprofessional gym experiences I've ever had. A gym should be a place where members feel welcome and respected. Instead, this location left me dealing with staff who thought it was appropriate to stand around gossiping about guests. Specifically, the Black female employee (with the very obvious, poorly kept wig) and the White male janitor decided their time was better spent making negative comments about paying members instead of doing their jobs. I don't know if this is the kind of "culture" management condones here, but it was beyond ridiculous, childish, and completely unnecessary. I travel often and have been to multiple Crunch gyms across the country, and I have never experienced staff so blatantly unprofessional. When you're in town on business, the last thing you should have to deal with is feeling like you walked into a high school cafeteria instead of a fitness facility. At my home location in West Hollywood, staff go out of their way to create a positive, supportive environment. Here, it seems some employees would rather stand around acting like mean kids than maintain the level of professionalism Crunch claims to represent. Members are paying customers, not targets for staff gossip. If this location wants to maintain any standard of excellence, management needs to address this behavior immediately. And if it isn't corrected, I'll be more than happy to escalate this to Crunch corporate, because this type of behavior drags down the reputation of the entire brand. As someone who travels frequently, I often recommend gyms to colleagues and other business travelers. NOT a REVIEW OF THE LOCAL CLUB. The Murfreesboro location itself is great--good people, good facilities. But corporate Crunch Fitness is a nightmare. They advertise that you can join and use any Crunch location and even move your home club, but I've been trying for four months to get my membership transferred. There is no public corporate number to call, no real customer service, and every step feels like it takes an act of Congress just to use the amenities I'm paying for. Corporate clearly doesn't care about its customers or follow through on what it promises. My advice: avoid Crunch Fitness altogether. Don't get trapped in the same frustrating experience I've had. I have been coming to this gym since January of this year. Since coming here, they have undergone a management change and the difference is night and day. The new management here keeps saying nice and tidy, and there is always someone on the floor trying to keep things cleaned up. I enjoy walking through the door and having people ask me how I'm doing and as I'm walking out, they tell me to have a nice day. Seems like everyone there is there to help you out if needed. All of the employees are great. My only complaint is that they could use more bench presses! read more

I'm surprised at the low rating, given the number of athletes training there. I have only had very good experiences here. I was going to another gym, and had a terrible experience over a billing dispute. It got ugly. That, with equipment that was not maintained and locker room issues caused me to leave. Staff at Crunch told me they get a LOT of people switching work out spots. The only reason for four stars is that a few pieces of equipment could use maintenance. Staff is friendly and helpful. They have an porter who keeps the place clean and I LOVE the hydro massage. To say that I thought going from Olympus (which continues to try to charge me for memberships that I canceled) would be a breath of fresh air because the facility has actual Wi-Fi that works and a sauna that is modernized was short lived. I got charged multiple fees I wasn't informed about when signing up (typical bait and switch), and the sauna (which is the main reason I joined Crunch) has been "broken" for almost a month. Typically most gyms I've been a member of fix the sauna within 48 hours...Crunch not only drags their feet but management has no clue why it's taking so long and none of the time frames they have said that the sauna "would be working again" have been true. Them not actively fixing amenities of the gym (or having a plan to safeguard to where "members" can't break the sauna again) should be more than enough of a viable reason to void my contract, so July 2024 cannot come soon enough. As someone that works out very regularly, this is only my third gym in 10 years and I finally found a gym worse than Olympus. Save your money. read more

If you're a grown adult who doesn't want to deal with this from a basic gym, TruFit on Bradyville pike is fantastic so far. Same prices but equipment gets put away, bathrooms and mirrors actually get cleaned and the trainers aren't 22 year old college shit heads... I really loved this gym and all the perks up until I needed to cancel my membership. I started trying to cancel over 2 months ago and was told on a Saturday I could only do it M-F 9-5. The problem with that is that only the manager can cancel your membership and if the manager doesn't show up on time or is in a meeting or has run to the bank or is not there then you either have to sit and wait or come back, which is what happened five times in a row to me. The last time I went in I was told that he would be there in five minutes and hours later he showed up and had no sympathy that I had been trying to do it for two months. I emailed the owner and heard nothing back. It's unfortunate because i wanted the process to be much easier than it was. read more

Politely ask the gym staff to change it they said they are too busy and they don't have a key to the room to change the music which is obviously a lie. The facility itself is okay. I used it once or twice while commuting to MTSU. But when I moved they made it impossible to cancel. I live an hour away now and I have to drive 2hr round trip just to cancel? it's great to work out Monday's and Sundays morning!! those days are super cool and all the equipment it's free. Usually Friendly and nice people. Employees may not know what to do when you hurt so don't ask front desk for any type of help. They are likely busy on their phones. Parking it's huge. read more

We get greeted by name and seem to know our habits and likes ie hydro, tanning etc. Christina is so sweet and has gotten to know my family as well. I really enjoyed the gym when I first joined. I recently was enjoying a run on the treadmill when a loud muffled sound came through my ear buds. I couldn't even hear my music anymore. Apparently the class going on right behind me included the entire gym whether you joined the class or not. Not sure why the chick had to have her microphone on full blast since the few people were right there in front of her. Totally ruined my workout and I left early. Wished they had an actual room for those who want a class. I tried asking the people at the front desk when the class happens so I could avoid in the future and they were clueless. We have belonged to this gym for the past year. We have repeatedly spoken to management about the music they play because frequently it is some of the most derogatory and cuss laden rap lyrics imaginable. They have a kid's club there which people are walking their children through the main gym where this a playing. Regularly, the lyrics are full of N----, Mother F----, B----, and glorifying drugs and violence on women. I have no problem with people choosing to listen to that in their own spaces, but in a public place like this? With kids walking through? Really? Why is this necessary? I keep hearing how the N word is so offensive, and I know I find it so, but what gives? There is so much other music that could be played or even playlists where those words are bleeped out. My husband spoke to corporate, and they claim the gym is not supposed to be playing that. However, the management at this crunch refuses to stop.
