We walked over the dirty threshold to this establishment and that should have been my first clue to turn around. Yelp you did me wrong as I saw the high 4.6 rating and thought I would give it try. There were only a few tables past the counter to eat. The tables were clean. Only plastic forks and plastic straws were offered. We were greeted by a friendly lady behind the counter who helped pick us something to eat. We ordered the rice bowl with beef bulgogi and the 8 piece Korean chicken tenders. The rice was good but the beef bulgogi was not flavorful. The Korean chicken was not crunchy and the sauce was ok. Did Crunchik'n satisfy my craving for greasy food? Yes. Would I order from here again? Probably not. I placed my order through their website and it was ready in about 10-15 mins. When I sat down to enjoy my food, I noticed there wasn't much sauce on my popcorn tofu. I'm not sure if the tofu just absorbed the sauce from sitting in the container but I was expecting it to be saucier. The flavor of the sauce wasn't too prominent. French fries were good. Regular small size was definitely enough for me. I liked how crunchy they were despite being lukewarm. Placed an online order for pick up: it was ready to go when we got there and still fresh when after we walked a few blocks home. Tried the popcorn chicken rice bowl, which was very tasty! Honestly could do without the rice though: just give me that chicken and japchae! You can't go wrong with any of the sauces either: soy garlic, sweet chili, Korean bbq - they're all good! The spicy versions of the sauces are very manageable: you'll feel it, but you can still taste the sauce. The food is very affordable with large portion sizes. Will be back! read more

Hotdog + cheese crunch dog + hot Cheetos topping. First off .. great cheese pull! I always forget how filling one of these can be. I like that it was cheese, hot dog, a bit more cheese, then hot dog. My coworker and I came here for lunch after hearing a lot of good things about the restaurant. I think the hype was a bit much for what we got. The smallish restaurant with seating for about 25 in the back has you come in and through a small gauntlet to two ordering kiosks. There are menus posted above, but you have to navigate the somewhat difficult menu to place your orders. If you've never been here and have to study what's available, then you're just backing up the line. Eventually, my friend and I chose two teas (honeydew and strawberry, one with boba) and they charge more for little or no ice per drink. For food, I got a fried chicken combo with 3 wings, 3 pot stickers, and noodles. I chose the sweet chili sauce for the wings. My friend chose the chicken tenders without sauce and regular French fries. After paying via credit card only about $31, we sat down and waited. The food came out in a decent amount of time. I should have gone with sauce on the side as the wings were messy. But they were huge and meaty, cooked wonderfully, and I really liked them. The noodles were bland, and the pot stickers overcooked resulting in difficult to chew noodle exteriors. The chicken insides were good. My friend's meal had some of the crunchiest and tastiest French fries she's ever had, and the tenders were also overcooked being very difficult to bite and chew. The coating was ok but not spectacular. The teas were also just ok. I've had better. Maybe I'd like the actual fried chicken pieces better without sauces on them but a basket of the chicken was very expensive. They ran out of potatoes so we did not get to try this on our hotdog. I enjoyed each item, they were all fried and but fried well. My least favorite was the crunchball. Though it was crunchy on the outside, the texture inside wasn't my favorite--though I did like the kimchee addition. I also ordered chicken dumplings, and they were delicious. Don't sleep on those dumplings. They are better than what u will find elsewhere, while you can find better wings. Delicious guilty pleasure! We try to limit ourselves to only get Korean fried chicken once a month because they are so good yet so guilty! There's a KFC place we love up north but crunchik'n turns out to be just as good. Their KFC is more airy than others I've had... which is not a bad thing as it feels more light to eat even though the breading on here is insane. We got the 10 piece chicken with soy garlic and snow cheese (extras $1 or $2 can't remember). I think soy garlic is still my favorite KFC sauce but the snow cheese was a nice change as it's more of a dry rub. We also got the vegetable and beef crunch ball. The beef one was definitely better and more flavorful... the sauce that comes with it is a little spicy. I'm not sure if the one single crunch ball was worth the $4. It was fun to try but I don't think I'd get it again. It's basically cheese, rice, and kimchi or beef mixed into a ball shaped and deep fried. Will be coming here for our future cravings! The only downside about this place is they don't give you the complimentary pickled daikon most Korean fried chicken places give you with your KFC. The crunch on their fried foods is so addicting and actually crunchy. Their chicken has a softer texture but still yummy. Ordered two sets of 10 wings - 10 honey soy and 10 sweet chili. Wings were well fried, but weren't as saucy. Super crispy on the outside and juicy/tender on the inside!! They were sizable wings, making it actually hard to finish all 10 wings in one sitting! The kimchi cheese fries had a great balance between the cheese and kimchi. The kimchi has a nice kick to it, but isn't too overpowering! At first I thought there wasn't enough cheese for the amount of fries, but there was plenty left. It's a very unique item on their menu, and it works very well! The peach bubble tea (which is more juice-like) was very delicious and the taro (which is more milky) wasn't too sweet. The tapioca was soft as well! The price of the wings is doable especially due to the large size of the wings! Doesn't leave you with the lingering thought of, "why is korean fried chicken so overpriced?" I'm very sad I couldn't dine in and meet the owners that I've heard so many great things about. Hope to do so after covid19 ends! Service-wise, the restaurant took covid19 seriously and was very organized in how they operated. Came to try them out for dinner. It's a small location inside with maybe 5 tables or so. I tried their boneless wings and beef ball. Beef ball was okay...not sure what's in it really. It wasn't bad but not great either. For the boneless chicken on the positive, the portion was huge! The negative it turns out it was double fried like their boned so it was just breading... also, their spicy option wasn't that spicy, and the sauce was really lacking, so it tasted like dry breaded chicken... How have I missed the joys of KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) all my life. Stand back, Satan. It's time to indulge. I popped in after work and opted for a rice bowl with KF popcorn chicken. Here's what you got: A medium sized bowl that had multi layers of about six nice chunks of fried chicken pieces, about thumb sized, hot jasmine rice, a kind of pico de gallo (tomatoes and onions, I think), lettuce (SO IT'S HEALTHY PEOPLE, SHUT UP) jap chae (WHUT) and one fun dumpling. It was around $10 or $11 and quite filling. I chose the sweet chili sauce. Probably next time I might ask them to do it on the side or just a light drizzle for my personal preference. UPDATE: the rice bowl is still my favorite. I moved out of the immediate vicinity of Crunchik'n and just had to order delivery to our new spot because I had a craving for vegetables and flavor and a salad just wasn't going to DO. I tried the new (to me) spicy tuna bowl this time -- as much as I wanted that popcorn chicken, my body couldn't take any more fried food this week -- and it was fantastic. The tuna is quite spicy (like you'd expect from a sushi roll but with a bit of an extra kick). I actually finished the entire bowl and usually I can't finish a chicken bowl and have to divide it between two meals. So it felt less heavy for sure and was exactly what my body needed. I've been here a number of times since my original review and I always come back for these bowls! The hot dogs if you can get them are absolutely amazing and so unique for the area. Good to know I can order delivery through the Yelp app too. (The delivery estimate was 70-80 minutes but thankfully it only took about 45; maybe I ordered just at the end of a rush.) read more

This relative new-comer to the area made a good impression at our first visit. We ordered honey soy and sweet chili Korean fried wings, chicken and pork dumplings and "kimchi" fries. We wanted the crunch ball, but it wasn't listed on the self ordering screens. We later learned that they are still on the menu, but were removed from the touchscreen ordering system. Huh? Why? Anyway, the double fried wings were freshly made, crunchy and flavorful. The dumplings were crispy. The pork ones were underwhelming due to their lack of flavor, while the chicken version were very good-they were seasoned well and had the perfect protein to veg ratio in the crispy shell. I put "  kimchi " in quotes for the fries because... it didn't taste kimchi-ish. The fries were hot, crispy and very tasty, but we decided that "spicy cheese fries" would be a better description than the current name. We had a delicious meal, but needed a bit of relief (maybe from some fresh veg or acidity) from all the fried food, near the end of the meal. The grapefruit sparkling drink was VERY tart, très grapefruity. Cut through the fried stuff a bit. The staff was very friendly, and the digs accommodate a decent amount of tables with a good amount of space between them. Wish the crunch ball had shown up on the self ordering system. I got the Korean corn dog with hot dog, cheese, potatoes, topped with sugar and spicy mayo. I was skeptical about having sugar with hot dog but this is a game changer. The first time I had it, the cheese was melted to perfection. However, the second time around, the mozzarella cheese wasn't fully melted. Nonetheless both times were still delicious.
