It was delicious. The beef was tender and the flavors were perfect. The server cooked the meat perfectly. It was a lot of food. Really enjoyed the tofu Kimchi-Bokkeum. First time having this stir fry kimchi dish. Super flavorful dish. Perfect to eat with rice. We also had the seafood pancake which was crispy and made perfectly. The Nakji Bokkeum which was octopus with stir fried vegetables was also an impressive dish. The octopus was fresh. Texture was tender and bouncy. This dish was very spicy for me. We came here on a weekday for lunch. The interior is beautiful. From the lights to the grills. The bbq prices are quite high for a casual lunch so we switched to the non-bbq side. We ordered the rice bowls. Chicken and pork were great. They were also large. The metal bowls kept the food hot throughout our meal. The food here was very good. BEWARE They no longer have sushi. It still says sushi on the door. The menus still have sushi sections. This needs to be fixed The server didn't tell us this when we were seated. My daughter was very excited to have sushi when looking at the menu. When I ordered, the server told us there was no sushi. That made my girl sad. The server must tell people there is no sushi when they sit people, as opposed to when they order. First, let me say that if Sushi is in your name and we get to the point of ordering and THEN your staff say you have no sushi, well except Avocado Sushi you have failed! Staff scolded us when we asked to sit in BBQ side and asked to see other menu. Being our first time here, we didn't know there were two menus to review. When we did switch sides only then did we learned about the sushi and settled on Dolsot. I do wish the gentleman that served us was more helpful. We were in town overnight prior to a family event and hadn't had Korean food in a while. This restaurant is nicely appointed with a clean comfortable, modern and has 11 tables for the Korean BBQ experience. They also have seating for those ordering other items on the menu. The service was attentive. In fact the service team does all the cooking on of the BBQ table side. We ordered the Kimchi Jigae Combo which is photographed here, both the meats prior to cooking and the accompaniments. The meats included brisket, a ribeye steak, and a deboned short rib. This was plenty of food for the two of us. The steak was cooked to order. All the food was good and we enjoyed the experience but make sure you allow sufficient time to enjoy the experience. This restaurant is BYOB but there is a liquor store in the shopping plaza. They also have some delicious non alcoholic fruit punches on the menu. I'm writing this on behalf of my parents. They had been eating here pretty often since they just moved here from an area that didn't have many Korean restaurants. They loved having decent Korean food nearby. But recently, they had a not-so-great interaction with a male staff there- they were quite rude apparently. The times I've been there with my parents, I'd notice how stingy they were with things like banchan. So now that Hmart reopened, at least they have other places to go for Korean food. :P but seriously, for a Korean restaurant you should be doing better in treating the elderly with respect. read more

Flavor was good, but definitely think think for the price of 34$ and up each plate for bbq you would get more meat. Definitely felt like they kind of cheap out on size. Wish we had discovered this place years ago. The best Korean bbq in the south jersey area hands down. Competes with NYC level restaurants. High quality meat is served, rotating ban chan dishes, other non bbq dishes like bibimbap, pajeon and japchae also really good quality and delicious. Servers allow you to enjoy the meal without rushing, it is a leisurely meal. You also do not leave smelling like bbq as the vents/fans are very effective. This is a full service Korean restaurant, not an AYCE BBQ joint. The layout is split in half with regular tables on one side and BBQ tables on the other. Personally, when I go for Korean I typically order the stews. I can make BBQ at home but there's no way I can make a stew! I opted for my favorite sundubu tofu stew with sliced beef. The taste was perfect and it was a good size. I will say some other places put a bit of veg in theirs, and it seems like that could have been added as an option, but this was mostly tofu and beef only. I also ordered some mandu and those per perfectly crispy and tasted just as they should. The order also came with 6 tiny bowls of banchan. They could have been a bit more generous with portions. And they charge for refills which the first time I've ever seen that. Prices were inline with other Korean restaurants. But extra charge for more banchan, and an upcharge for lettuce for your BBQ take a star off for me. read more

The vibe is very high-end, quiet, and refined, making it a great choice if you want a more relaxed, elevated experience. Everything is served à la carte, and the servers cook the meat for you, which takes away any pressure and lets you fully enjoy the meal. They also offer combos (we did Combo A), if you don't want to do à la carte. Everything was well seasoned, and the banchan were sooo good. The scallion salad did come out halfway through the service... I personally would've loved it from the beginning with the rest of the dishes, but overall, it was refreshing to have. Beef Was the cheapest cut dry chewy and gristly the bowl was just full of rice gloopy and a sickly sweet sauce with minimal vegetables. usually the rice in the stone bowl gets crispy not this dish just mush. Service non existent. overpriced price for such low quality food. Clearly they overspent of the decor of the restaurant but then are trying to jack up price with terrible quality and cheap ingredient food. Oh. My. Word! Stop reading this right now and just GO! This was my first time experiencing Korean BBQ and I could not have chosen a better establishment. From the minute we walked in, the owner greeted us and was amazingly kind and accommodating. We ordered special drinks ( a brown sugar milk tea for my bestie and passionfruit mango green tea for me) and the special drinks did take a while to come out but the servers were very apologetic. We ordered our appetizers and entrees at the same time and everything came out all at once, so next time I might order the apps first, but we started with the crispy potatoes and the dumplings. Now that I know how much food you get when ordering a combo, I may not order two apps next time, but the crispy potatoes with truffle aioli dipping sauce was so good I'm not sorry we did. We did the combo A, which came with even more than the menu stated, like a little dish of potato, macaroni salad, broccoli, rice, and various little plates of kimchi and radish and tofu. We also added the short rib, which I am SO glad we did because it ended up being our most favorite meat of the night, although all of it was fantastic. I thought we'd be cooking in the center of the table but our servers handled everything and were so impressive. We got Combo A for two and added the spicy pork bulgogi. Everything was amazing but the star was the beef bulgogi. The brisket was the second best, especially wrapped in the super fresh lettuce. I'm always weary of trying new Korean restaurants bc usually they're not good and overpriced but I gave this place a shot and was pleasantly surprised! The interior was very new, modern and sleek. I loved the ventilation system so I didn't smell like smoke after. We started with ddukbboki and got the beef combo for 2 with cold noodles and kimchi stew. The ddukbboki was good. The sauce had a good flavor, I wish the rice cakes were a tad bit chewier but overall yummy! The beef combo was the perfect amount for 2 people, I just wish more veggies were included like garlic and onion bc that's a necessity with the perfect bbq bite! The galbi and brisket were my favorite. The skirt steak was way too chewy for me. The banchans were pretty tasty too and the kimchi was on point! The cold noodles were tasty but it just needed something, maybe a little more beef broth flavor but the noodle texture was perfect. The waitress kept moving our meat around on the grill back and forth violently over and over, scraping all the juice and marinade out. I asked her to stop and she looked at me rudely. The aesthetics of this piece is so classy! the bbq area is separated from the dining area, and there's a separate area for private parties (it seems) The first thing that gave me such a great experience was the service!! Great interior design, semi-private tables available, and a unique to the area menu of Korean barbeque. Overpriced and meat portions are a little skimpy. The Combo A has premium cuts of prime brisket and Wagyu skirt stake with a purple salt, but the bulgogi should have been cooked in between, not at the end. Though I don't usually order sushi at a Korean BBQ place, my sons wanted a salmon roll. The fish to rice ratio was very nice, and they asked for another. I would be just happy with the side dishes. BBQ combination I would skip and just hand select specific meat instead. Some of the cuts were just a bit tough to chew. The kalbi on the bone was the best out of the selection the marinade wasn't overboard and kept the flavor of the meat. Service was amazing nice and attentive and informative. Warning though you definitely need a reservation if you want to have the table grilling service. Although when we got there there seemed to be plenty of grills open but I assume the limiting factor were the servers. The servers were very sociable and friendly. Though is kinda pricey when you go for the Combo, we chose Combo C and it's good for 3 people. it has 4 kinds of meat that your server will cook for you. This place is a hidden gem! I would almost give it 5 stars if not for a couple of things - they forgot my smoothie and still charged me for it (after asking if I received it twice), they forgot a couple apps, they had no tapioca despite it being on the menu, and the sushi wasn't so fresh (which I'll gladly forgive bc it is Korean after all). The ambiance is very surprising. This place is in the middle of a strip mall and seems very unassuming from the outside, but it was beautiful inside! Very sleek, modern, and well thought out. The bbq tables have vents that actually go down to the grill, which helps with you smelling like you eat in a bbq joint for three hours... so genius. There's also a liquor store conveniently next door since it's BYOB. It was everyone's first time there, but not at a Korean bbq place so we were unsure why the lady stood there and actually cooked all our food for us but we honestly didn't care- less work for us. I could see someone else getting annoyed though, she never asked if it was ok or not. Would definitely come again for a special night out if I wanted to grub out and spend money with friends. Not a kid friendly staff. 5/14/2026 around lunch time we arrived with our toddler and infant in a stroller. They guy (i wished i asked for his name) said stroller is not allowed, coz of safety reasons I guess. But other kbbq restaurants casual and fine dining we dined in before, we never had issues bringing our kids. But anyway we were about to leave coz we wanted to do bbq and he was skeptical...but he eventually let us in and just told us to watch our baby, Which obviously we are going to do. But after us a white couple came in with a stroller too so I wonder if he told them the same thing too. Then we were seated and my toddler was playing with the chopsticks, the staff was cooking on another table and he was like.. can you tell him to stop that. I understand that coz we dont wanna scratch the table or anything. I had no problem to tell my toddler that. But the way he said it was very rude, not polite at all. We didn't even get our food yet and it already made the experience very bad, especially he kept coming at my kids. I ate at Dolsan before with my toddler before and never had that experience. And today we celebrated my husband's bday and the staff made the experience very bad. Will never come back here and won't recommend this place to anyone again. Excellent Food, Unacceptable Service I want to be fair in this review: the food quality at Dolsan Korean BBQ is genuinely excellent, and the atmosphere is pleasant. If you don't mind extremely poor service, you might still enjoy the food here. However, I must address the serious service issues we experienced. To be clear, we were served by multiple staff members, and this review pertains specifically to one Asian server possibly Korean, and possibly named Joshua based on our receipt. Service Problems: Water service: Never proactively refilled. We sat with empty glasses for extended periods before he would come to refill them. WiFi request: When we asked for the WiFi password, he responded with extreme reluctance and an attitude as if interrogating a suspect, demanding to know why we needed it. It's WiFi--what's the issue? Poor attitude throughout: His demeanor was consistently unpleasant for most of our meal, only improving slightly near the end. Missing order: We ordered apple juice that never arrived until we asked about it near the end of our meal. Beverage policy enforcement: On a previous visit, we brought a Coke (which we were willing to not drink), but the staff treated us like criminals, confiscating it and placing it on display as if to shame us. The Most Concerning Incident: After we left the restaurant, this server RAN OUT TO OUR CAR and confronted us aggressively (appearing ready to physically fight) demanding to know why we only left a 10% tip. When we explained the poor service, he called us "liars" to our faces. Is this how a supposedly upscale Korean BBQ establishment trains its staff? Final Thoughts: Our bill was $192 (before tip) for two people with Combo C. For a restaurant positioning itself as high-end, this level of service is absolutely unacceptable. We also noticed a concerning pattern in how different customers were treated--I'll leave it at that and let you observe for yourself. The food deserves 5 stars. The service we received deserves zero. Management should address this immediately. read more
