They give miso soup with lunch specials as an option or as a stand alone. For an Asian takeout, this miso soup aint bad! It has the seaweed and tofu and a miso flavor. If it's made from powder or the miso pouches, I wouldn't be surprised, but I wouldn't mind getting it next time with a combo or meal! The fried Szechuan wontons were okay. It was a lot of chewy/tough dough, which wasn't fun with only bits of meat. The sauce was pretty oily so I think it was a lot of chili oil. Ordering sushi for delivery is not the wisest idea, but I have to say that everything arrived well-packed, and the order was accurate. I ordered a spider roll, escolar and maguro nigiri (2pcs each) and yellowtail jalapeño roll. Unfortunately, the sushi rolls and nigiri were subpar. The rolls unwrapped easily, and the nigiri was inedible. Each piece of nigiri had membrane-like pieces that ran through the fish making it impossible to chew. I have never seen this before, and I've eaten a lot of sushi from restaurants all over the world. My quest for a go-sushi place continues. read more

10/23/24 First time ordering since moving back to south Philly and got the general tsos chicken and boneless spare rib lunch special at 2:47pm, lunch special ends at 3pm, delivery took about 23 minutes, not too long of wait and some of the spare rib pieces were lightly fatty chewy bits but the ones that weren't fatty were good, good rice and the chicken was good. Wonton soup was hot as ball! But good lol and i would order again though trying not to pack on weight and need to start eating healthier but tempting since they also have sushi! Decided to give this recently-opened spot a try for takeout, and happy we did! Quality, no-nonsense, delicious Chinese food. We have tried our share of Chinese places in the area, but found most of them pretty lackluster. The food here was non-greasy, the vegetables were fresh, the staff were very friendly, and the interior seemed clean and pleasant (from our curbside vantage point, as they are only open for delivery and takeout at the moment). A solid option for American Chinese food. Menu has all the 'classic' dishes plus sushi. Very nice people. Salmon lover roll - really good, liked the spice, mango was a nice touch General Tso chicken - Great. Not too sweet, a little spicy, pieces were a good size. Nice amount of broccoli Scallion pancakes - perfectly fried but not super greasy, pancake sauce was also A+ Fried rice - very light flavor; not as heavy as in some places. Could use a little more saltiness from the soy sauce. Hot and sour soup - Meh. Sang kee is still my favorite here. Too sweet, not spicy enough and not sour enough. Not bad, but not great. Hot wings - Good but they weren't like you'd get at an American bar - they were covered in a Chinese "red sauce" that was a little sweeter and corn-starchier than I expected. I would get them again though. Only downside is that they are a bit slow, but I assume they are operating on a skeleton crew due to COVID. I'll keep going because it's nice to have a nice, regular degular spot for Chinese that is middle of the road, i.e. not Han Dynasty expensive or behind bullet proof glass read more

We understood that wait time could be crazy because of the holidays, but now seeing other reviews, this is obviously normal for them. Yesterday we ordered online through DoorDash. I thought an hour wait was odd for Chinese and sushi as usually it is only 20-30 minutes. We went to pick it up at 7. It was not ready. We waited outside for 35 minutes before we received our order. We weren't the only ones waiting. Several people ended up leaving without their order. One woman said she had ordered delivery 2 hours prior and had never received it. A man kept coming to the window and would say he was checking on our orders and then disappear for 10 minutes at a time into the kitchen. He did not even move with urgency. I'm still unsure what was going on... not sure if they were cooking the food once the customer gave them their order at the window? After we finally got our food, it was not even hot. In addition, my fiancé and I felt sick, both had stomach aches, shortly after eating-- we were worried it was food poisoning, especially given the way they were operating that night. What a great new spot for original rolls! I went in with low expectations but the food blew me away. The dark angel (black pepper tuna) was nice and spicy, and the tri-me was flavorful and interesting. While standing at the window deciding what to get, another customer recommended the Singaporean noodles so we got that too. I'm not usually a fan of the Japanese curry flavor so I was skeptical, but this balanced the flavors so that I actually enjoyed the curry aspect. The chicken was well cooked (not too dry as often is the case in these sorts of meals) and the box was plentiful. Prices are very reasonable. Would def go again! read more

Asian Fusion is a wonderful new (established August 2020) spot in Passyunk that has an incredible selection of Chinese, Japanese, and other Asian-fusion (ha!) cuisine. The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant equally as clean. The Chinese food we had (General Tso's tofu, vegetable fried rice, sesame chicken) was excellent. 5/5 stars for sure! The sushi was alright - we bought a few California rolls and were satisfied. 4/5 stars here -- the rice was a bit overwhelming. But honestly, if a restaurant can be this consistent with such a variety of Asian cuisine, then I have no qualms. This is a spot I'll be back to many times, and hopefully will rate them higher in the future! read more
