Every possible candy imaginable was before my very eyes - chocolates, every form of tootsie roll, giant blow pops and jaw breakers, gummies - every flavor to name just a few. My insatiable sweet tooth settled on milk chocolate covered cashews... those are healthy...correct? Hahaha! The milk chocolate was smooth coupled withe crunchiness of the cashews. It was delectable, delicious and decadent!!! I said I was going to eat a few pieces and save the majority of the chocolate covered cashews for another day. Another day was tonight!!! Yes, I add all of the candies. Yes, I am totally guilt free. I did two hours of cardio tonight, so am guilt free. Smile. I tried to live every facet of my life with no regrets. I was the only one in the store so I had the cashier's undivided attention. The cashier rang me up pretty quickly. In addition, he gave a sample of chocolate malt balls. It was super quiet and chill in Its Sugar!

I haven't tried the non-chocolate candy as the selection doesn't look appealing to me. On my last visit, I unfortunately found out the hard way that prices skyrocketed, chocolates are sold prepackaged and not individually anymore. I got 1 bag of dark chocolate peanut clusters and dark chocolate raspberry truffles. Both taste great but the price... about $24. The workers are always nice and polite - no complaints there. The store itself is nice and neat but very quiet and normally empty - just an observation and not a criticism.

I was completely shocked. I've since learned that Williamson County Health Department made them stop selling individual candies. Why they did this now, I do not know. This has always been my go-to candy store for all occasions and I'm terribly sad that this store has changed it's format. Lamme's has a location on Airport Blvd that still sells candy by the piece, for anyone who is interested.

I made the short drive out here and fell in line where they took my order and I got a pound of carnitas and a pound of bistec all for about $20! And to top it off they came with onions, limes, and cilantro and some amazing salsas! Will definitely be back!

But I didn't get the chance to shop there. Fast forward, I was in Georgia for a few months, went inside, and fell completely in love. It is such a great grocery store. So when I came to Austin, I just assumed they didn't have one, but to my surprise, I discovered the ALDI sign as I was driving to another store. I find my go-to and mostly a variety of food that I love. I find other items I haven't tried before, but now do. They also have the best selection of meats, veggies, and fruit. The freshest of fruit, I must add. I love the wide selection of candies, crackers, and cookies. My favorite is the miniature Reese's cups and the fruit gummies. I like that when I can't find an item, someone is there to help. I like the layout of the store; it's very open with maybe 4 to 5 aisles. I like that they are very friendly at the cash register.

You need to know that if you want a cart, you need a quarter. You put the quarter into the slot to "release" the cart lock and then when you are done, if you return the cart to its spot, you get your quarter back. The store has what I would say is the typical Aldi selection - more than a Trader Joe's, but less than an HEB. The prices are typically less than other stores assuming you aren't brand name specific in your tastes. The staff are the quickest at the check out ever - true to Aldi's reputation. Just know that you'll be bagging your groceries yourself at the counter beyond the cash registers as there is no time to bag them at the checkout line. The store has wide aisles and while it may not be the most well organized space, the signage is clear about what is where. Overall, I would definitely visit this store when in the general area.
