Eggs, pancakes and bacon with OJ and coffee - $26 before tip.
    Dan N.

Stopped in for a late breakfast. The restaurant has a weird layout with steps up and down and tables seem like they are just placed where they can be fit. It's an older building but the layout is rather odd. The staff was friendly and cleans as they go although I do wish they would wipe down the tables in between guests. I had to ask for a cleaning clothe to wipe down the table. This time the food looked good but the taste and texture were blah. Eggs were hard scrambled and the pancakes sat in your stomach like a brick. On a positive note, the bacon was very tasty. Considering how busy the place was I would have thought the quality would be better. We'll see if there is a next time.

    No bones burrito

I ordered a no bones burrito and an iced matcha latte and both were great! A little pricey, as with most vegan food, but I thought it was a good portion and we'll seasoned.

Capri-inspired wedding cake with family heirloom topper.

We ordered a cake for our wedding and Justin + team absolutely knocked it out of the park!! Our wedding was all Capri blues, whites, greens, and lemons - and Crush Cakes understood the assignment. We received so many compliments on not just the cake's design but the taste too (red velvet). I am forever grateful for the baking team over at Crush Cakes for going above and beyond, making not just a delicious cake, but also a pretty piece of decor. Also, we ordered cookies to accompany our wedding ice cream sundae bar. These were stellar and everyone was asking where we ordered them from! Compliments all around!!

    Chiliquiles
    Neal T.

Quick breakfast service, tried the chiliquiles which were pretty good. The chips were a little chewy but sometimes just the right amount of crunch. The flavor was excellent, a nice level of spicy and the avocado on top was an excellent addition. Quirky little corner spot with in and outdoor dining options and a coffee shop vibe but with good food and what looks like some intense cupcakes. Not at all what I was expecting, the menu is quite extensive.

Lemon cupcake, peanut butter chocolate, carrot cake, other tasty flavors!

Went here to get cupcakes to bring home to my family when we got back from vacation. The cupcakes were beautiful! A fabulous selection of flavors, like lemon, carrot cake, etc. my family said they were delicious! I ordered a cinnamon roll for myself and it was the BEST cinnamon roll I had ever had. Highly recommend! I wish there was one in the Bay Area!

    Crush Red Velvet Pancakes Breakfast
    Jenna A.

What a sweet and charming location! With indoor and outdoor seating, it makes for the perfect Sunday Brunch spot! While I am bummed that I did not have enough room in my stomach for some cupcakes, I did devour the Red Velvet Pancakes!! Absolutely delicious. The service was amazing, with the ability to ask for extra cream cheese frosting with speedy wait times, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Crushcakes!! I will definitely be back on my next visit to Santa Barbara!

    Mexican mocha
    Raechel I.

It's been awhile since I stopped by Crushcakes for breakfast. I am glad to say their food is still amazing and consistent to how great it was last time. This spot sits on a corner and offers seating inside, and outside. The pastry case is very tempting. I usually get a cupcake or two for the road. Ordering takes place at the front counter and you see yourself. The Mexican mocha is the perfect drink. Not too sweet, and creamy. My kid loves the "red" pancakes. The red velvet pancakes are thick and sweet. I like the cream cheese whip cream with them because it puts the pancakes on the edge of dessert. Lastly, the perfectly sauced chiliequiles are a must. You have the option of adding meat but honestly it's not needed. The dish is flavorful, hearty and comes in a big portion. Keeping it , this combo is the best breakfast.

We happened to stumble upon this charming restaurant, and it was a wonderful surprise. The staff was incredibly kind, and the food and coffee were absolutely delicious. It's definitely a place I'd love to visit again!

    Lavender lotus latte
    Kristina M.

A local favorite! Super quick and friendly service, I got my drink and meal within 10 min of ordering. I had the lavender lotus iced matcha, and the cold foam was the majority of the lavender flavor. When the Rolex wrap came out, I was super impressed with the presentation and how it maintained its structure as I bit into it. Inside was a bit dark, so I sat outside, but it was a bit chilly in the shade so wear a jacket.

    Flip side
    Brandon R.

Rainy day is perfect for warm drinks and warm food. I got the flip side and a white chocolate mocha it was ready pretty quickly and the staff were very nice and it was just sooo delicious. And since it was a rainy day it was a little quiet which I definitely appreciated. Would definitely come back

It can get pretty crowded during peak brunch time, but it's worth the wait. They offer both indoor and outdoor patio seating. They have an amazing pastry case with their desserts and pastries on display. I was immediately drawn to the gorgeous desserts like the orange, mango guava, limoncello, yogurt berry square cake, yuzu curd with blueberries and coconut, and lemon raspberry tart. These little works of art were not only gorgeous but tasted delicious as well! Their pastries are also a must. I love their Bacon Cheddar Chive Scone! Their Squash Blossom pastry is seasonal, but I hope they bring it back because it is so good. I'm also huge fan of their brunch! Their Blue Crab Crepe is incredible. If you're only going to get one entree for brunch, get this one! It comes with two delicate crepes, the tastiest lemon hollandaise, chives, and lots of crab meat inside! Soo good! The Duck Confit Hash was another winner. It comes with crispy potatoes, hollandaise, pickled fresno chile, cilantro, and poached egg. I enjoyed the Parmesan, sundried tomato, and basil quiche as well! They also offer a Seasonal Handcut Pasta Dish which changes. It's from Aperitivo, and they make such good fresh pasta! The Lemon Spaghetti Pasta I had during my visit was spot on. Definitely worth visiting!

The way the team and management responded turned what could have been a negative experience into one that left an even stronger impression. The salmon plate, pancakes, and chicken sausage were all delicious. The coffee was okay, but that's hardly why you come here. The real standout was the service. Great food is memorable, but exceptional hospitality is what keeps people coming back. We'll definitely be returning.

SCORE 0 HEALTH HAZARD 10…read more This is our third time we've had issues with the staff. Today is our last time going here. There was only one person in line and 4 staff members behind the counter standing around talking to each other. Nobody greeted us or asked for our bakery order. When I said excuse me to a dirty blond girl she replied "WHAT!" and continued to joke with a co worker. When the cashier finished with their customer they walked away and even though they saw we were waiting to be helped. I looked around and saw nobody helping seated customers or us at the bakery counter. Finally, the dirty blonde ask what we need and my response was "WHAT" ?! At this point we should have left and gone to Lilac Patisserie however we proceeded to give her our order. I told another customer behind us that rudeness seems to be the norm, and she agreed. I paid for our bakery items and asked an older woman scrolling on her phone if we could have a bag for all of our boxed treats. She grabbed a handful of bags and threw them at me from across the counter. We were appalled and left. We found a place to sit on State street to eat our treats and my daughter said she didn't want her Meringue because the dirty blonde girl used the back of her ungloved hand to repeatedly wipe her nose. We threw all $50 worth of baked goods in the trash. Yes, I should have gone back and complained I'm had everything refunded but it was Mother's Day and we didn't want anything more to do with this establishment. It was also an epiphany that they don't treat everyone this way. It could be you next time. Please go somewhere else. We will never go to anywhere but Lilac Patisserie which is to the left as you exit Andersons, past the stop light. You will definitely get your money's worth and the staff is friendly, professional, and greet you immediately as you reach the counter.

So far, nobody or nothing can compare with my high ideals for a cinnamon bun/roll, but that's okay. I keep searching. As for the coffee cake, that was just weird. It was more like a cookie base, a layer of nuts mixed with brown sugar and other ingredients, and then a layer of cake... but it didn't have any noticeable flavor profile, and it was kind of dry. It didn't work for me. Kinda boring. As for the chocolate chip cookie, it was good, but again, nothing great. I've definitely had better. Maybe we should have tried a loaf of bread, but we didn't. It's flaky, buttery and coated with toasted almonds. My mouth is watering describing this lol. If I could eat one everyday without gaining weight, my life would be blissful. This particular location in the Arlington Plaza is tucked away in the corner. I love coming here when the budget isn't in danger and I have extra money to splurge. They have a nice outdoor patio and the atmosphere is peaceful. It can get busy, so it's best to get here early! On my latest visit, I tried the fried egg sandwich. It's made with bacon, sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes, and aged Gruyère served on homemade pain de mie. Unfortunately, the sandwich was just ok. The egg and bacon was lacking which are the main things I like in a breakfast sandwich. I tasted mostly tomatoes and mushrooms; which I like but it would have been nice if it had more egg and bacon especially for the price. Also, the bread was overly toasted making it very crunchy and hard. The roof of my mouth didn't appreciate it. I prefer a softer lightly toasted bread. It also comes with your choice of potatoes or a salad. I chose the salad and it was perfect. Despite not being too fond of the sandwich, at least I know it's not for me. With plenty more options on the menu, all the more reason to come back. I'll try the croissant breakfast sandwich next time. The drip coffee here is excellent! I usually get the French roast and it hits the spot every time. Overall, a great spot for breakfast, lunch or just come here for the pastries, coffee and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
