What a cute little shop! This is the true definition of a bakery. They have almost everything you could think of! The service was very quick and all the employees had a smile of their face. I wasn't a fan of the Mexican wedding cookies. IMO you can't be good at everything with this big of a variety. Plenty of room outside the bakery to eat with your friends and family!

Anna's is a cute bakery located in Goleta. It's in the main shopping mall area with the Costco and restaurants that I'm surprised I haven't noticed this spot sooner. Tucked next to the Starbucks I guess I've been overlooking this spot but I'm glad my friend and I stopped in for a quick treat. This bakery is surprisingly packed with many bakery goodies, cookies, little cake slices like cheesecake, eclairs, and other yummy bites. They also have a pretty good low key lunch menu with soups, salads, and sandwiches. This spot had much more than I anticipated and what was stellar is we came around 12:30pm and the cases were well stocked. Sometimes at bakeries I've found when you come after the morning there are less options but no issues here. Service was really good too! Two gentlemen were working the counters and they were both super super nice. Since I had never been here I needed some time to look over the cases and menu, the gentlemen didn't seemed bothered and allowed me to take my time. He was attentive and very friendly. I ended up only grabbing an eclair to go but once I got home and ate it I was so happy! It was delicious and classic. My friend got a sandwich which she was able to customize which was nice. Prices are reasonable here and it was a cute vibe. Definitely worth checking out if you're on this side of town.

Went to Starbucks for coffee but went to Anna's for a tasty baked good. A pretty good selection from donuts to pastries. Young friendly staff, nice to just pop in and go. Got the turkey provolone croissant and cinnamon roll donut.

    Large oat milk lavender latte!

I stopped by with my friends in the spring time on a Sunday right before noon and this place was sure packed! The line was long and this place was poppin'. Fortunately, the line seemed to move fast. I saw ppl buying lots of yummy baked goods. I ordered a large lavender latte with oat milk. The latte was delicious and I shared with a friend... But honestly, kinda wish I got my own LOL. It wasn't too hot so it didn't burn my tongue. I could taste the espresso, which wasn't bitter but smooth. The lavender syrup didn't taste artificial and the oat milk didn't make my stomach hurt haha. They top off the latte with a cute heart latte art and some lavender petals. I definitely had to snap a pic before putting the lid on! I always appreciate any sort of latte art! Parking: The shop is located within a big lot with rows of parking. We had no issues at all finding a spot. Tip: They have farmers markets here from time to time so it was nice to grab a coffee and walk around and support local (and far!) sellers! All in all, great coffee shop! I'd come back if I'm back in the area.

Brownie, French waffle, crème brûlée donut

Anna's is ok, it definitely gets the job done when you have a sweet craving. The place itself is small and cute and I appreciate their variety of baked goods and hot items! The person who helped me out was kind and helpful, so thank you! I got a French waffle, brownie, and crème brûlée donut. The donut was definitely the best of the three. It was incredibly sweet, and yet the least sweet of the three. The filling had a good texture and the brûlée on top was crisp, not soggy so I know it was fresh! The brownie was ok. It was thin and had a lot of chocolate frosting on top, which I was not a fan of. To me, brownies do not need frosting since they're already so rich, decadent, and sweet. I still wanted to give it a try but was disappointed. Texture was ok but I couldn't handle it! The French waffle was the sweetest of them all. It was... weird. Puff pastry coated in turbinado sugar, filling with a lot of vanilla buttercream and raspberry preserves. Wow, my teeth hurt. The puff pastry was stale. The buttercream tasted like what you'd find on a cake from a grocery store (think Albertsons, Walmart), and the raspberry preserves were artificial tasty. It was weird. I just wanted a sweet treat, and I guess they delivered? Overall disappointing and would not return unfortunately :(

Anna's Bakery at the Marketplace is a popular spot. It is a small space with a limited breakfast, lunch and baked goods menu. It is sufficient, if you are in the mood for a quick bite and are in the mood for pastries and the like. So basically, you pick up what you need and if you wish to eat right away, there is plenty of seating outside. I was here for a very small bite and therefore honed in on the Dainties. I tried both the apricot and the strawberry varieties. Both were dry, with very little filling. What you mostly tasted was the pastry dough. They must have a good turnover because they were out of the chocolate croissants, by the time I got there (about 10:30 am). The marketplace is a nice area to be in. It has several other eateries that are next to or in very close proximity to this bakery. Service was good.

The people at this bakery were super nice and super accommodating, so I will give them that. I also understand that in person, the bakery has some amazing offerings. However, I ordered a cake from Los Angeles for my daughter that goes to school in Santa Barbara for her 19th birthday. I requested a very simple design of headphones. Nothing too complex or demanding of too much time. For the price, I really expected a much more professional looking cake. The idea was a very simple one and any professional cake decorator should've been able to execute it in a way that was much neater and more professional looking. Quite honestly, as a baker myself I know that I could've done a much better job. They also didn't follow the instructions which were to write my daughter's name from the wire in the headphones. I will post pictures so you can get an idea of what I'm talking about. In any case, I just feel that for $60 for an 8 inch round cake I was really expecting something fabulous, neat and professional, and unfortunately this time, Anna's didn't really deliver that.

The space had plenty of seating. We ordered the Korean Nashville chicken sandwich, Chicken Parmesan sandwich, Mac and cheese, Cole slaw, baked beans, and banana pudding (not pictured). The Korean Nashville chicken sandwich was super tasty and had a good amount of spice. The chicken was perfectly fried and loved that it had a little asian fusion to it. Was a little thrown off by only one slice of bread being toasted, but it didn't change the overall taste. The chicken parmesan sandwich was on the specials menu, and it did not disappoint! Loved the bread roll it was on, and it was nice that they gave an extra side of marinara to dip. Out of the sides the baked beans were my favorite! Super tasty with bits of bacon. Mac and cheese and cole slaw were both solid. The banana pudding was also amazing! Super fresh and was a generous portion. Will be back!

Very warm, welcoming and professional staff. It was busy and the cashier/waitress handled taking orders, delivering food to tables and kept the customers informed that she would be with them soon and all with a smile. The chicken tenders are tasty, tender and a nice size. Good sauces too. Biscuits are mini biscuits, tasty but expensive for what you get. I would prefer to just pay for a regular size biscuit instead of $10 for 6 mini one-bite biscuits. My main gripe were with the wings. They are a nice size, but not tender and cooked with too much batter. You have to cut into them to take the batter off or else you get a mouthful of batter. Also, the meat itself is not seasoned. If they could improve the wings it would be a much better product. So for now, we'll stick to the tenders.

I had seen its various locations (Isla Vista, Santa Barbara's Mesa and Goleta) and always wanted to check it out; yet leave it to my sister from out of town to introduce me to it. Twice she has ordered take-out sandwiches at lunch time for us. Their sandwich menu is nutso with 36 creations to choose from, including several that are vegetarian. Of course, the options are endless if you choose to build you own! I went with the #14 (a turkey BLT) and #2 (turkey and cheese) which are simply basic yet tasty. I have no idea what they do to their bread but is addicting. Slight crunch on the outside, yet soft to the squeeze and full of gummy flour flavor! All of the ingredients appear fresh and nothing special--which I appreciate when I want a deli sandwich. I love the fact that you can purchase your sandwich in a variety of sizes including a "mini" for if you need a snack to hold you over and not a full meal. I also think of children, those who are on a lower carb diet, who have had bariatric surgery, or are limiting portion sizes. I personally go for a "small" sandwich. However, if you want to go all out, choose the "medium" or "family" size. Even better, if you're hosting a party, order a three to ten foot long sandwich (requires a day's notice). I will be back to check out the actual place--third time's a charm they say. I've heard both their chicken salad and tuna salad are both delicious. That's next up! P/S: According to Yelpers, they do not accept the Check-In Offer for a free soda with a sandwich purchase. They should really remove this from their Yelp page... Note: Only the Milpas location offers chicken sandwiches, burgers, french fries and chicken nuggets. Note squared: They charge more for credit card payments. Note cubed: If you want free entertainment, check out their Milpas website menus with adorable, phonetically spelled items. (gient vs giant, meetball vs meatball, and phylly vs philly).

I have no issues with credit cards needing extra 3% charge itself, but the real issue was that I was never told about this extra credit card charge in advance. Nor was there any indication in the store or on the website that credit card payments incurred this 3% surcharge. Finally, upon asking for a refund of $37.56 - $36.38 = $1.18, the manager actually yelled at me, saying that this 3% credit card charge is "commonplace". This is bullshit untrue across the country, as we all know (especially if not told in advance). Thus, long story short, this store simply aims to earn as much money from consumers as possible, even if this means overstepping the bounds of ethics.
