This is by far the best pizza by the slice in Turlock. I mean I don't really know anywhere else that serves a fresh, hot, tasty and generously portioned slice of heaven like Crust and Crumb. Pair your fresh slice with a side of their thick, tangy and flavorful ranch and you'll be back again and again. I always go for their cheese or pepperoni and it never disappoints. Service is always excellent and pride of work is shown from the Crust to the Crumb. One of our favorite family spots too. I don't know why I didn't try this place sooner! Awesome food and atmosphere. Conducive to good, relaxed conversation. Ellen is a great lady. Hard working and heck of friendly. Sharice helped us and was welcoming and sweet. Both very nice ladies. We opted for the burgers and beer. Meat cooked perfectly loaded with good stuff. Roll was nice and soft. My side of chicken chili was tasty. On the way out I grabbed a slice of cold pizza for tomorrow. What a great idea! There selection of day old bread is a super deal so picked up a loaf of cinnamon bread. Did I mention the good selection of beer on tap! And the place is super clean. Our first visit to Turlock, we were headed to another restaurant that had a 45 minute wait which doesn't work for a family with hungry kids, and they recommended this restaurant. We ordered the House Salad with craisins, feta and lemon vinegrette dressing on the side, the red steer pastrami dip, the chicken caprese sandwich with a side salad, cheese pizza slice with mushrooms that were fired in the oven for 45 seconds, and a slice of pepperoni. The house salad was delicious with lots of fresh fruits, and it was so big that we were able to share the salad and be full off of that. The red steer pastrami dip was very flavorful and didn't really need to be dipped since the pastrami was pretty salty; overall it was a solid sandwich. When I say that I'd take a bullet for their breakfast burrito......i am 100% serious. Jesus Christ himself could not provide an experience better than the one I've had at Crust & Crumb. As I was waiting for my meal, a gentleman brought out coffee cake for myself and my friends to sample. I had ordered my food maybe 30 seconds prior, he simply wanted to surprise my tastebuds with this cake out of the kindness of his heart. The food was so beautiful, an artist must have spent their whole life perfecting the beauty of this dish. And let me tell you....when i took the first bite out of that breakfast burrito, my tastebuds died took a trip to heaven, resurrected, died again, and resurrected AGAIN from the pure delight of that dish. Finally Red Steer Sandwiches are back! The best beef dip (French dip) sandwiches anywhere. The whole ribeye is cooked daily and carved hot and fresh per order. You tell them how you want it, rare, medium rare, or well done. They aren't shy about the beef and the au jus beef dip is amazing. The shop is always clean and has plenty of seating. My kids and I went here for lunch today and we enjoyed our very delicious food. I've been here a few times in the past for pizza, clam chowder, house salad, bacon/maple doughnut, and breakfast burrito on a spinach tortilla that comes with a piece of bread and fresh fruit. Guess I'm in the minority for my opinion on their roast beef au jus sandwiches. I did not find it tasty at all and the sides were nothing special. BUT...all their pizzas are AMAZING!! Another great first. Didn't start off very well, but when the food came! Ya, it was delicious! We had to wait a while and get up and order our food. But they were very nice and tried very hard to make it happen! I had the ultimate skirt cheeseburger and it was the bomb. The wife had the chicken caprese sandwich and the chicken soup! Off the hook! Our son had a build your own pizza and it was delicious as well. My hat goes off to them, know it was taking a while they brought around pie to make up for it. This place is awesome for dessert. Today I finally had the opportunity to try a cinnamon roll all to myself since my four year old daughter was still in school. You know where this is going. Yes I never get to enjoy a whole cinnamon roll since my four year old food truck will eat it before I get to it. The roll was warm and delicious. The coffee I drank with it made it that much more more delicious. The staff is AWESOME!!!! I believe it was the owner who gave us a free loaf of day old chocolate zucchini bread which was still soft. He also supports law enforcement which is cool in my book. He has two blue line American flags hanging in the restaurant. Did I mention beers on tap? Not one but around six to eight. I have yet to have their pizza slices. Wife said she heard they are awesome. That will be my next Review. Until the next time. read more

I absolutely enjoyed this restaurant! It was fast, friendly and fun! They came around and checked on us multiple times, offered us free slices of pumpkin pie and it overall just had a great vibe. The pizza was AMAZING!!! and the donut with bacon knocked it out of the park! I would eat here again and again. The only downfall.... they serviced Pepsi instead of Coca-Cola. I was visiting the area and looked for a place to have a donut and coffee in the morning and found this place with well rated baked goods and donuts. So I came here with my boyfriend and first thing we hear is they stopped selling donuts like 6 months ago, which really sucked. We stayed anyway cuz they had cinnamon rolls. Soo we ordered a cinnamon roll and a sticky bun, then the shady thing happened: they have 2 sizes of coffee on the menu: Small and Large with a 1 dollar diff on the prize if I remember right, so wanted to have enough coffee for the bun and hang out chatting for some time so ordered one small and one large coffee and we asked for our order to be eaten there and payed. Cashier didn't tell us that the coffee is refill and there is absolutely no difference between a small and a large coffee so when she said we could serve our coffee in any of their mugs available (all same size) I asked what was difference and she said: "They are all the same" which was lame of her for just charging that extra dollar for something that is the same as a cheaper size. That did not speak well about the place. Not sure if they understand how dumb that is. Besides the coffee incident (forgive my cheapskate brain) the sticky bun was fine, good at first but way too sweet after third bite (I love food in big quantities so feeling tired of it so soon was a bummer...finished it all anyway haha my fat self taking over). The place is pretty nice though and planned to go back anyway but nohere to park. My boyfriend liked the pizza there and I was gonna make sure no nasty trickery on the drink sizes and prices a second time haha won't fool me again!!! I do recommend it for the pizza I guess but damn they took my precious dollar :( read more

My boyfriend and I always come here for their delicious margherita pizza and pastries. The pizza crust is thin and they use high quality ingredients. You won't be tasting that nasty sweet tomato sauce here. The owners are very nice which makes the experience that much better. read more

This is an outstanding Cafe and makes the evening walk around the downtown Main Street and enjoyable conclusion to the day. Their pizzas are outstanding and beautifully made with great taste experience. Their ribs have to be in the top 10 in the area with fall off the bone meat. We had side dishes of coleslaw and an outstanding potato salad. Finished with a unique dessert that was so rich we could not finish it all but enjoyed every bite. The cost for two with just under $50 with no alcohol so it is not a average place to go out to eat. read more

I love this place! My boyfriend and I came here for lunch today, got the pulled pork pizza. It was excellent! The service was very friendly and the owner (I believe he was the owner) was very proactive with his customers. He made sure everything was a wonderful experience. We sat inside and admired Neil Cervenka's photographs. As we walked out with the jalapeño bagels that caught our eye we ensured we will be back! Uh crust and crumb you did it again!
