Took my girls here after cheerleading and gymnastics. We ordered the patty melt, onion rings, kids grilled cheese, a smores sundae and two kids waffle cones. The patty melt was much smaller than expected for $12, but the flavor was decent. Nothing comes with sides for that price and you have to order them separately. The onion rings were your run of the mill onion rings. The but was not worth the $10. One someone normal slice of tomato on one half and a super tiny slice on the other. The bacon was hard and small and looked like precooked microwavable bacon. Wouldn't have ordered if I know that. The kids grilled cheese was just a slice of american cheese on white bread thar was hardly melted. My husband chose the smores sundae because he was craving hot fudge, but it looked like maybe a small squirt of chocolate sauce instead and he actually had to add hot fudge himself at home. The girls cones were both good with rainbow sherbet and cotton candy. read more

The food is delicious, p0rtions are good sized,service is amazing. And children love it,its so perfectly set up for young children! I love the ice cream. This family first went to Lulu's for my daughter's birthday,she took 3 friends along and it was great. But after graduation Daughter moved to Florida,but here for a visit. The Lulu's that I know and love is back! It had been a minute since we had last dined at Lulu's due to the fact that they no longer offered the veggie burger I loved. I was so sad because I love Lulu's fries and milkshakes too. Fast forward a year or so and I had a craving for a Lulu's milkshake, mint chip if you please. We were also hungry for dinner so I quickly checked the online menu to see if there was an entree I would like. To my pleasant surprise my beloved veggie burger had returned! Needless to say we headed out the door and made our way to Lulu's. My veggie burger did not disappoint! My husband enjoyed his cheeseburger and we split the family order of fries naturally. Of course our meal was not complete without mint chip milkshakes for two! Everything was as yummy as I remembered! We will definitely be back. The location is Lulu's best attribute. The service is decent. The facility isn't the cleanest and the smell inside isn't very pleasant. I would consider myself a bit of an ice cream connoisseur, and this ice cream is bottom shelf (think dreyer's or thrifty). The price however is top shelf. Today was $14 for a double scoop and a shake. The scoops are definitely the smallest portions compared to other ice cream shops. The spoons are the cheapest money can buy. Overall, not impressive at all. read more

The ice cream I tried was pretty good, the service is just bad. The workers were kinda just staring weirdly the whole time and honestly weren't being very nice, even when I tried smiling at them :( it's like they were trying their hardest to ignore and be rude to us, just not the best experience read more

So the review is not about the food. I rather enjoy their food. My review is about the facility itself. Seats are torn and worn out, table is broke. The place was dirty. Now one would say the place was busy but there was only two other customers in the place. No reason for this place to be dirty. We had to clean our own table. You would think the employee would step up and say they would clean the table but they didn't even bother to help. Who is running this business? This place is dilapidated. UPDATE: I still love this place! The BEST part is that people like A P (who rated Lulu's 1 Star) WILL NOT COME BACK! Praise be! If you are a mom of "demonic children" THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! The judgmental yelp trolls cannot handle all of the life and joy coming from a (gasp) ICE CREAM PARLOR FILLED WITH CHILDREN! The service is still amazing. You will feel as if you know everyone. Horrible service! My dad went in here and ordered the Cowboy burger last week and it was missing some of the main ingredients that made it a special burger like onion rings and BBQ sauce. He asked the cashier who made the burger if she had made a mistake and she said "oh ya I did, I forgot" he told her it was a good thing that he caught it or it would've been just his bad luck and she proceeded to just say "ya I forgot". She said she can remake it but he just asked if he could get some sort of discount for his next order and she told him she couldn't do that. So my dad was charged full price for a specialty burger but received a regular cheeseburger and the cashier was unwilling to give a discount for a mistake she became aware of but decided not to correct till she was confronted. read more

I honestly wasn't expecting much out of this small ice cream parlor, but let me tell you it was AMAZING. I thoroughly enjoyed the BLT sandwich and regular french fries. It also came out pretty fast considering the amount of food we ordered. I also tried the sweet potato fries and linguisa sandwich which were also really good! This lady does amazing things, We have been going to lulus since it opened. My kids have had birthday parties at LULu's! They love the chalkboard that announces whose birthday it is today! Wow, they don't play! Came here and ordered a milkshake and it was ginormous! The ice cream they put in the milkshake was rich and chocolatey, and I'm pretty sure that the straw could have stood straight up in the milkshake. The woman behind the counter was polite. We wanted to add some Reece's Pieces to the milkshake and she asked us whether we wanted it blended into the shake or add in after. We weren't quite sure, but ended up asking for it to be added in after -- she agreed that she thought that was the better options, but wanted to ask us just in case we had a strong preference either way. The one thing is that it seemed a bit short staffed, so even after people left, the tables hadn't been cleaned up, even though there were plenty of empty tables. We ended up sitting in a booth, where one end was a bit sticky with ice cream and the other end was clean (we sat on the clean end). read more

I was highly disappointed! I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich online and this is what I received. When I drove back to lulus to show them what I had received the response was oh well we weigh out the chicken and that the girl making it was new. I'm sorry but this is not worth 12.00. I did get my money back and will not be ordering again anytime soon. read more

So disappointed in Lulus. Have been going there for years with grandkids. Hadn't been there in a while because grandkids moved, went in tonight and it was filthy inside. This place is just alright to me. The set up is awkward. You order your ice cream away for where you can show the teeny boppers what you want. Having never been here before, I was over looked and cut in front of by somebody else. Having gotten over the counter incident, I was eating my average tasting ice cream while I observed someone come out from their back kitchen, hang her head into the ice cream window (hair hanging down), took a spoon and spooned herself a nice large scoop which she proceeded to put into her mouth and eat right behind the counter. I don't intend in returning. The ice cream is...well, anything you could get elsewhere, and the girls hanging their heads into the ice cream have me uneasy about hair, dandruff, and anything else that might drop into it while they serve themselves. read more

Next to Starbucks, I'm sure this place gets business from those who weren't sure they wanted coffee. They have a couple of doors, although we entered through the one labeled "exit" on the inside. They have a number of tables and booths. It's bright and antiseptic-looking. We were greeted quickly as we entered. As we came to look at photos and video, the other two grabbed a booth quickly. I thought that this was odd since I wanted something cold to eat. After asking, they were still full from lunch--I didn't eat many of my fries. I got the computer working on the photos and got a rainbow sherbet of some sort. Having orange, blue, and red together looks odd, but I chose it anyway. Some of the descriptions/names were missing from the case. One scoop in a cup was $2.00. It looked big as he was scooping, but it didn't seem so big when he handed it to me. It was probably close to what Baskin-Robbins does. The taste was good and worth the money, and the staff was always friendly. The restroom was fairly clean. read more

First time coming here and we had take out. Everything was bad. We ordered 3 burgers and they were supposed to be done by 5:41 but they didn't have it until 6:10. The burger buns were burned and hard on the outside. Mine was supposed to have tomatoes, lettuce, they all just had meat cheese and mayo. The curly fires were completely cold and soggy. Maybe this is an ice cream place but it was not good at all, we threw it away. read more

My hamburger was ok but my seasoned fries were not seasoned. All they had was salt, which isn't considered seasoned. Seasoned salt is considered seasoned. The chocolate fudge sundae was great. But anyone can make that. What I was shocked about was how one of the workers went to join one of the tables and laid there with her pants almost coming off (because of her pose) acting like she owned the place as she sarcastically went back and forth with her conversations with one of the girls from the table. They obviously were friends and obnoxious ones too. This is a joint for young people but it doesn't mean that the service (or young customers) should act unprofessional or be equally obnoxious. This is why it's not good to mix friends with pleasure. Or, have young workers working in an environment where it's geared towards young clients, unless they've been taught about ethics and morals. I wouldn't go back there to eat but maybe just to get ice cream for my kids. read more

This place used to be such a happy experience. The feeling I get is the owner went all out at first and since then has either become complacent or has had to make cuts to stay open. The first hit this place took was when they stopped carrying pies. They were delicious. Since then they have just become what could be described as having a unclean feeling. I fee like cleanliness is a effort issue and just gives a bad vibe when you can't just keep the place spotless. Also, the customer service you get is always awkward. I get that it's probably high school kids that are working there, but still that's not a excuse because this place isn't super cheap. It's not that they are unfriendly it just seems like they are unsure why your there. I hope they can improve basic things like cleanliness, a little maintenance(floors look bad, not a good choice for high traffic), and customer service. read more

Called ahead to ask if they were open for ice cream. They said they were. Drove right over. Stood in front by the door as the server went from person to person and car to car as we aren't allowed inside due to Covid. Finally after 15 minutes she rudely told us we had to order online or call to order. Why didn't they tell us that when we called to ask if they were open? We left. It will be a long time until we go back. read more

Not sure what to say about this place. I heard many good things about it so we wanted to try out their burgers. We went in to get a family order, a gentleman asked us as we were coming in if we were getting something from the grill or just ice cream I said we wanted burgers he said we turned off the grill, it was about 8pm and from what I saw they don't close till 10pm not sure if I am wrong? Second time we gave them a chance to try THE BURGERS they got our order wrong gave us someone else's order, obviously I didn't see till I got home since there's no Dine-in. read more

This was the to go spot when I was in high school. Have so much good memories at this place with my friends. They have amazing ice cream and the burgers are great as well. The tables are really close to each other and usually always packed. Be sure to try the milkshakes! read more

I ordered shrimp tacos, one friend had tri tip tacos and the other had PB& J Burger. Mozzarella sticks were horrible. Just seemed like something you'd buy at the store and barely any stretchy cheese. Jalapeños were great. Shrimp tacos were cold. Tri tip tacos weren't very good. PB& J Burger was good. This place has gone down hill. I really hate to say that. Probably won't be coming back any time soon. Please get your act together

Overall it was a cool chill little place, just wished on a chilly night they would've had the doors closed, but hey.

Total turn off. What a waste of space. I buy pizza for the toppings not for plain pizza crust. Let alone flavorless pizza crust. When I buy a pizza, I expect the pizza to have maybe an inch of pizza crust and the rest full of my favorite toppings. As for the flavor of the pizza, it was just ok. Now let's talk about the wings. Really not much to talk about. I ordered six wings and received four full wings and then two small maybe they were broken in half wings? I don't know. I just know they were not full wings. It seems as if I am bashing the place. I am really not. I was hoping to find new spot for my pizza fix. Unfortunately this is not the place for me. In the end, this was a one and done.

Today was my first time trying lunch at Center Street Grill in Turlock. It was a mixed bag for me…read more First, I was one of the first to arrive in the dining room for lunch, where it was nice and quiet (which I needed as I had a meeting with an officer from a local non-profit to discuss some fundraising things). Shortly after, a group of about 8 ladies arrived and began talking a bit loudly while enjoying their lunch. It occurred to me that the design of the place enhances the sound (a lot of hard, flat surfaces) so for a quiet lunch, this may not be your place. After my associate arrived, we asked to move over by the wall behind the cash register. This worked fine until one of the employees propped open a door a few feet away, supposedly so another worker could carry in some supplies. I got up and closed it. The first one came back, looked at me and propped it open again, the other employee walked in with four gallons of liquid, leaving the door open, and the draft blowing. I got up and closed it again. For the rest of the time we were there, neither worker came back to pass through would have been an open door. My message, the management doesn't care about their customers (which seems to have been commented on by other reviewers). Fortunately, throughout the meal, our server was attentive, did a fine job of seeing to our needs, the food (we both had salads) were plentiful and tasty. We both remarked on the quality of the chicken, not dry, not tough, spot on. Overall, I probably won't return soon because there are so many other places left to try in the city and county first.
