The Cowboy Burger was Good and tasty for the milkshake had good flavor and refreshing ice cream and taste.....! Yummy! Unfortunately, the pie tasted like it was canned. I will skip it next time. This is possibly the worst Nation's I've ever been to. They have 1 cook and 1 person at the register on a weekend! Make that make sense???? The wait is to long and for this place to be opened for such a short time it's falling apart already. Needs new paint needs more employees. The owners are obviously cheap as hell and dont care. We location near where I live! Delicious pies and burgers. Keep coming for the pies. Great crust. I prefer the berry pies. Service is quick and efficient with a smile. Food is made to order and plenty of sitting with big windows. Even better that now there's one closer to me! Burger and chocolate pie has been my order recently on several occasions. I can't stop thinking about it. Omgosh... That pie is so delicious, I'd eat it every day but I can't afford the calories. The burgers are great too. Modesto hasn't always had nations, but I've loved those burgers for almost a lifetime... 40+years. Solid burgers in a very clean environment. I'm used to the greasy Nations in Oakland and Tracy so I was surprised how clean the Modesto location is. Good burgers, fries and an absolutely wonderful strawberry shake. Yes, prices have gone up but they have everywhere. Quality ingredients on the burger. Kylie, the lady who took our order, was friendly and kind. All of the condiments are set up on a counter which is kept spotless. Is ice cold in this restaurant? I was the first of eight customers that came in. They move way too slow for a dinner rush it enterprise took me 30 minutes to get my food shift changed. People went on break in the middle of my order not being started. as you can see my picture. I have nothing but crumbs on the bacon And the end of the letter is which is unprofessional. I'm very surprised with the restaurant being so new. Came here with hubby on our way to go see a movie. Hubby wanted a burger and wanted to try Nations. Tables were dirty and they weren't even that busy. Seems like all they did was lifted the cups/plates off of the tables. I had to use a napkin to wipe off the table myself. Also, the floor under the table was full of crumbs. Not impressing me one bit. However, their burger is as expected, delicious. Their fries is how fries should be, tender in the middle and crunchy on the outside. And their onion rings are actual onion rings. You can taste the onions unlike alot of places where the onion is fried all the way through. I am looking forward to trying one of their pies. I liked the space inside better than I thought I would. It has high ceilings and is pretty clean inside. but that's where it ends for me. I loved the fact they have a garden burger for us non red meat eaters, but, you lost me with the fake processed American cheese & Miracle Whip. Yuck-O! That's a big no thank you. I did ask for real cheddar cheese and for an additional $1.65, you can get shredded cheddar. 1/2 the battle was solved. they do not have real mayonnaise:( nor do they have thousand island sauce. My bun was cracking on top too:( My bf had the grilled cheese with everything and said it was NOT good. He ordered the real shredded cheese and he got American. We had to be somewhere, so he ate it. It took exactly 15 minutes to get our food and there were only about 4 other tables already eating & 1 delivery guy that came for an order. Sorry to say, I don't think we will be back. read more

I come to Nation's when I'm craving a classic cheeseburger--not a fancy-shmancy one. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it's not even a terribly photogenic burger. But it's so heckin' delicious that what it lacks in beauty, it more than makes up for with flavor ten-fold! Where the real artistry happens is with the pies. They're works of art, gleaming in the display case, beckoning with a confectionary siren's-call. I like a slice of pie fine enough but I NEVER leave without getting a slice to take home for later. This visit, I went home with a seasonal peaches and cream pie and I swear I heard angels sing when I took that first bite. The service is always great. Friendly, familiar (but not overly so). And for a place cooking to order, the food comes up pretty fast! As far as ambience goes, like it's burgers, it's pretty no-frills but there is plenty of natural light! All in all? Well the was my first time to a Nations ever. We had two burgers and one Ham and Cheese. Onion rings and chili fries. That being said this place is new still and is crazy busy. They actually were fairly quick getting us through the order line but it took about 20 minutes to get the food. The problem was they were missing one burger after waiting that long. We told them and the manager I'm assuming seemed upset. He looked over at us like we did something wrong. They were able to get us the burger we ordered within five minutes but not a great first showing. All in all the food was average and I wouldn't hurry back to this place. read more

Grew up in the Bay Area eating Nations, what a treat to have it come to Turlock. The service was fantastic and the burgers brought me back in time. My wife had the coconut pie and said it was the best she's had in years. The fries were great as were the shakes. Don't waste your time with the app, really doesn't perform well. Growing up in Pleasanton Nation's was a big part of my childhood. I have the best memories of my dad taking me for breakfast on the weekends. Or a good burger for lunch. And we always ordered pies for special occasions. We would always sit at the bar. I would be so amazed watching the cook cook the food. So when they opened a modesto location I was thrilled!!!! I had my man pick me up dinner last night. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger , fries & a strawberry shake. When he was just about to be home he noticed they didn't give him my strawberry shake. So he called and the manager apologized and said he'd give us a slice of pie. We chose banana cream. Food was delicious just as I remembered!! I especially love the shake. Yum! I look forward to dining in next time. I'm very happy they opened a modest UPDATE: Last time I gave Nations a 4 star review. I'm updating and giving a 2 star review. They still have not fixed their problem. I ordered burgers tonight and onion rings & fries. On the app you can not add jalapeños on your burgers but you can on other items. So my man called in our order and explained we wanted jalapeños on burger's. She said I'm looking at your order now np I gotchu!!!! Well he picked up food and came home and there was no jalapeño on burgers. So I called and she said that they were under staff and would give me some for the side. They are far from where I live. Howdy, Ah yes, Nations. Super well known in the Bay Area, but they opened up in Modesto. Honestly, I do think their burgers are expensive but they make it up with quality and quantity. I got a cheeseburger and not only was it fat but I thought it was good. Btw, my cheeseburger was about $9.10, I believe? Fries, eeh. Could use some improvement. I feel like they can give more for its pricing. The shakes though, freaking THICCC. Like thicker than a bowl of oatmeal. Can't say no to the Pumpkin Pie shake. The pies.. I picked up a pumpkin cheesecake & apple pie to take to a gathering. Paid $50. The apple crust did not taste good and had a chemical smell. The pumpkin cheese cake was awful& not sure what the brown crust was- it wasn't graham cracker. I know ingredient prices are high.. but for $50 I would expect the ingredients to be real butter & taste good.. very disappointing & embarrassed to bring these to holiday gathering- next time I'll make it myself. read more

So the wife and I are without kids. Where is the first place we wanted to go, you guessed it, Nations. Modesto recently got a nations so we decided to visit it. This place is clean compared to the one in Tracy, CA. We were teetering on breakfast and lunch so I went with a burger and the wife went with breakfast. I went with the bacon cheeseburger and fries. The wait wasn't long at all. First of all my burger was HUGE. I was expecting a thin patty but this burger was big. This burger definitely had flavor. Maybe the flavor is from the griddle but it was delicious. The fries were also good. Nice and thick. Definitely a great meal at Nations. If I would have had room in my tummy, I would have tried a slice of pie aka heaven in a slice. read more
