Right now, everyone is under 25-ish. One is on prep and another packages pizzas coming from the the oven. During this little rush, the rest are running around. There's no organization to what anyone is doing. The dining room tables aren't bussed and about five walk-ins and me are waiting for online orders. There's nobody directing the kitchen and no front-end person catering to the three tables there. Now I've worked in restaurants for half my working life and some in grad school. These deficiencies are exacerbated by not having a firm managerial hand. It's what happens when everyone is in their 20s with little to no experience in the world reacting to a rush rather than being proactive. There's no reason why I should wait 20 mins for two pizzas when I get there after ordering it 15 mins prior to leaving my house just down the street and 5 or 6 staff working. There were enough people to handle the rush if they had more leadership and direction. That's the sad part. read more

This place has some of the BEST pizza in BR!! I've been here twice this week. The dough is so tasty and has the perfect crunch on the edges. The sauce is the perfect combination! It's clean and spacious. Televisions are there for those who want to partake in that. The pizza was good. It has taken me way too long to go try this place. I had it on my radar and never went through with it but that changes now. We went kind of late and even with that the staff were super nice and welcomed us in. I promised I would get out of there as fast a possible though :) We had an order for 4 pizzas and a salad and all the pizzas and salad came out perfectly. I love trying new places, so I was excited to try here. The interior is cute and inviting--it's trying to be a sit-down restaurant and a fast-casual restaurant at the same time. I found it to be very comfortable. The staff were well-trained as the service was top notch. The place was very busy so I was concerned it might be a bit of a wait, but it really wasn't. The first thing we tried were the garlic knots. For any place that serves garlic knots, you have to try them to set the standard and these absolutely did not disappoint. They were light and airy and soft and crispy. I would easily order them again. My daughter is a pasta fan so she got the spaghetti and meatballs. I did not try it but it looked tasty. I did try the garlic and cheese bread and it gets two thumbs up in my book. I decided on The Blanco on the cauliflower crust. I can say with confidence that this is probably the best cauliflower crust that I've had. It was super crispy and loaded with good flavor. While I intend to try other crust options, I will definitely be getting this crust again. I was disappointed to see the previous restaurant in this space close, but I am so glad this is here now! The pizza was good, the process to order was painful. It took forever for orders to be placed. Maybe it was the people ordering that caused the bottleneck. We wanted another beer and wine so I stood in line. It moved so slow I gave up. The people at our table would have finished their meal by the time I got the beer and wine. Maybe a kiosk would speed up the process. If you're going to sell alcohol have a better process to get the second round. read more

It don't eat pizza all that often, and this location on Millerville is not on a route that I frequently shop. But, finally decided to stop there for their lunch special which was $12 for two options with a drink. Opted for the pizza and spaghetti & meatballs. First, for a pizza place with the name CRUST I was not bowled over with the crust thickness or texture. Based on descriptions of the place before going - I was expecting an ultra-thin crust, but found their crust to be a little thicker than I would have expected. Normally I prefer a thin and 'bubbly' crust (pita like) similar to what I've enjoyed at Newk's, Lit or Pizza Artista. The crust here at CRUST is definitely a little thicker and very flat and evenly rolled. The best way I can describe it is that when you pick up the piece of pizza it's almost like a Ritz cracker in it's evenness. Now I have to stress that the 'pita-type' crust that's my usual preference is a personal choice. I almost gave my review three stars because I was a little disappointed with the crust being more thick than expected. However, I have to say that on my way home I really thought about the sturdiness of the crust. Although more thick than I normally get at my other favorite pizza joints, the crust here stayed firm until I finish the pizza. Normally, as I'm eating a small pizza the first two slices stay horizontal as you eat, but the third and further pieces start to lose their rigidity because the sauce has seeped into the crust. Not so at CRUST. Because their crust is the same thickness throughout the whole pie, it kept its rigidity and firmness throughout enjoying the pizza. Now, I have to add that since I ordered the lunch special the pizza was only a tiny 7" diameter size. I don't know whether or not their crust would hold up it's rigidity while eating a 10" or larger pie. So, although I was a little disappointed in the crust by my own personal preferences, I absolutely LOVED their tomato sauce - both on the pizza as well as the small spaghetti and meatball portion I got for my lunch special. I absolutely detest a sweet tomato sauce - give me a rich savory tomato sauce with oregano/basil seasonings anytime. THIS is the place for that type of sauce. I will say that the portion size for the lunch spaghetti & meatballs and pizza are quite small (I think the pick two options at Newk's are far more generous for just a buck or two more)... BUT with that said, I was completely sated after finishing my mini pizza and small spaghetti and meatball serving. Oh...and the meatballs are also extremely tender and tasty, very well seasoned. Again, for the lunch special you only get two meatballs...but I still enjoyed it thoroughly. There were only three other tables occupied when I went a little before 2:00 p.m. so the place was not busy and it did take a little longer than I expected for my order to come to the table, but not outrageously long either. The young man who brought my food was very pleasant and personable. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere and was very clean. All in all I enjoyed my meal at CRUST this afternoon and will certainly try them again next time I am in a mood for spaghetti & meatballs because I truly enjoyed it. Not so sure if I will choose it next time I'm in the mood for pizza, but definitely plan on trying one of their salads along with their spaghetti & meatball for lunch on another day. read more

I'm sorry, but I think this might be one of the worst places I have ever eaten in my life. The "chicken" alfredo I'm convinced wasn't real chicken and the whole thing smelled and tasted like plastic. The calzone I got was supposed to have ricotta and mozzarella in it with the other ingredients. There was no ricotta or mozzarella. Visited Crust to check it out since I love pizza. The place was clean and fresh as it is new. I was pleasantly surprised at the extensive menu. I ordered a few of the lunch specials to take to work and the Big Don pizza. Now for a BYO you are allowed 10 toppings. I ordered a curated pizza and wanted to add a few toppings. I was charged for each topping although the original pizza had less than 10 toppings. I didn't think this was right as it's no difference from ordering a BYO. The tomato basil soup was really good and so was the meatball sandwich. The salad was just a salad nothing special. The chicken alfreado was a bit bland. The chicken was flavorful but sauce had little flavor. I will try this place again as the food overall was good. read more

Really good food. The staff is really nice. They are just extremely horrible with timing of food. If you eat with friends they will get their food like 15 minutes before yours. We messaged them a few times about this issue but it's a reoccurring thing. If you are looking for good food and riding solo, this place is for you. If you are looking for a dinner out to enjoy with friends, this wouldn't be the place for you. We stood at the counter for service to order looking at the four staff members staring back at us. Then we had to say we are ready to order. One member called to the "Cashier" for assistance. He said we would have to wait all the while he's talking to another associate looking at her phone. My guess is they are too busy for customers to get their order.
