The wait time can sometimes be a little long if you dine in. The flavors were really good and the solo pizzas were a great size. The crust is a little floppy but not soggy. Their ranch is also really good. The servers were very nice and it was a fun environment. Be careful about parking though. The place across the street puts boots on peoples cars. Firstly, the pizza that we ordered was delicious and the service was wonderful. While we no longer live in Baton Rouge, Schlittz is our pizza of choice when visiting. Our order consisted of a large Rustico and two waters (not bottled waters, tap waters with ice). To my surprise, we were charged $1.50 per cup of water totaling $3 for two glasses of ice water. Not only have I never been charged for ice water at a sit down restaurant, I would have never expected to have to do so at a restaurant in South Louisiana during August. I cannot imagine what the justification would be for this. The pizza and atmosphere are wonderful, and that keeps us coming back, but this is absolutely ridiculous. read more

Why'd Y'all Change The Recipe? Second time ordering My Big Fat Greek Pizza and it's not like it used to be. I think it's the missing garlic cloves and whatever else they cut back on. Gotcha. this pizza place was a huge disappointment. after reading many positive reviews, I had high expectations, but they were not met. we ordered garlic knots, and they came out an hour later burnt and swimming in grease. the cooking stations were unsanitary and disgusting. they had some tvs playing sports that had dirt hanging from the bottom, that would occasionally fall onto the cooking station. I watched them make our pizza, which took even longer to come out, and it was hard to watch. i also saw them throw half of a pizza underneath the oven, and they let their employees eat the other half. also, an employee hopped on the counter during his shift and started eating Chinese food from another establishment. when the pizza arrived, the slices were disproportionate and incredibly greasy. I do have to say that the service at the location on Third St. Is not as good, we've been there twice. So now we always come to the one on Ferndale. Typically, I like to visit a place more than once before I write a review. Unfortunately, I was just so disappointed with my one experience that I do not think I'll be giving this location another shot. So I ordered a pizza for pickup. I was told it would take 20 minutes, so I arrived 25 minutes later. And then I waited over 15 minutes once I got there. Someone at the hostess stand and someone behind the bar knew I was there to pick up an order. They made it seem like my pizza was still being prepared. Then, after that, no one acknowledged me. Staff made eye contact with me and carried on before I could even flag them down. You know how I finally got my pizza? I had to interrupt a staff member flirting with another customer (then I REALLY wanted to get outta that awkward situation) who came in after me and say, "can I please just pick up my pizza so I can go?" And then she pulls out my pizza, which had been sitting there the whole time. No apologies, just tells me how much I owe and hands me my pizza. They weren't even busy. Maybe 3 or 4 tables. Plenty of staff working. The restaurant itself? Looks like they have decent drink specials. The pizza price is definitely competitive considering how big the pizza is. Unfortunately, their pizza is apparently extremely thin. To the point that you can't even pick up the pizza before gravity takes over. You know how you can fold a piece of paper hot dog or hamburger style? We had to fold this pizza all the styles just to prevent it from falling apart. I'd recommend a fork and knife next time. And they hardcore skimp on those toppings. I did like the crust though. It had a nice crisp to it. But that's the only thing I liked about my experience. I'm confused as to how they can operate a restaurant and not manage to take orders and give customers their food (or plates, or utensils). We had to get up and ask the kitchen staff for plates. We waited 1.5 hours to receive our pizza THEN we got our garlic knots (we ordered the knots 15 min before the pizza). Overall the food was good but just know that you'll have to really WAIT for it. The crust had seasoning and what appeared to be a little olive oil, and was nicely thin without being cracker-like. Highly recommend trying them. The parking is a little weird because the only places we found were under the highway overpass, and the walk to the restaurant was a bit rocky. We ordered the kitchen floor pizza, minus olives (hubbys request, I personally love them) and ranch on the side. I love that you can see them making the pizza, tossing the dough. Definitely added to the atmosphere. The pizza didn't take long, and I loved that it wasn't so hot you couldn't eat it. The toppings were delicious! And that crust is phenomenal! The atmosphere is really cool here! Seems like a great place to hang out and watch a good ole LSU game. Parking was terrible, but that is only due to construction. The food was ok. I really can't rave about anything except for the crust. It was thin, crispy and had a great flavor. I didn't care for the garlic knots as they were really hard. Wasn't like eating a piece of bread and I didn't find them to have much flavor. The marinara was delicious. The service was great and it was really cool watching them toss the dough into the air. I've passed this place countless times but didn't try it until very recently and I'm sad I missed out on eating this pizza while at LSU! I ordered the Rustico personal size pizza and it was the perfect amount. The combination of toppings was unique and surprised me with how much I liked it. At first glance I wasn't impressed at the pizza options because there were none that I was dying to try, but I ended up loving the rustico and the slice of the kitchen floor pizza I tried that my friends ordered. I will say that if you build your own pizza, it seems that it could get a bit pricy so I steered clear of that. But other than that, everything was great! I loved the huge screen and the whole atmosphere of the place reminded me of an old classic pizza place! When we went, it was completely empty besides us but the staff remained great and our server was super sweet and funny! He was polite and nice and offered us to cancel the order since we could no longer and did not wanted to wait more and he told us not worry about the drinks and bread; at least.
