While we have some good "pizza" around Conroe, we are hard to please. The stone fired places are intermittent and burn them as often as they don't. Pizza Shack is great, but it's their calzone that brings us back. We were willing to drive out to Spring for some Mellow Mushroom, but decided to give this joint a try first. They remind me a lot of the layout and style at Vero's in Conroe. However, as their name would suggest, the pizza surpasses the other offerings in the area. The flavors compliment each other so well. Crust Pizza has amazing food at very reasonable prices with large portions and great 'deals'. For a crafter pizza place, that is rare these days. The location on Lake Conroe is awesome. You can sit outdoors with a beautiful view or inside which is very roomy. The staff is always friendly and always willing to help you with whatever you need. To go boxes and containers are readily available. The goat cheese salad is to die for as well as the veggie pizza. We always have too much food and take the rest home for a second meal. Thank you Crust Pizza for an overall consistent great eating experience. We will continue to return to Woodforest or Lake Conroe locations. read more

Frozen pizza would have been better. We ordered 2 16 inch pizzas and 1 10 inch pizza. We got 2 14 inch pizzas and a 10 inch. On top of that the crust tasted stale and old. It only took 5 minutes to make this pizza. From the time we ordered it until the time we got a text saying it was done was 5 minutes! When we spoke to the manager, Carlton or Carlson he basically was saying it was our fault for not being there as soon as we ordered it. After arguing back and forth he finally agreed to refund our money, but we shouldn't have had to even do all that! As soon as we told him they were the wrong size it should have just been taken care of! I will not be back and I will make sure to let others know of our experience! read more

Rant on Management or training. We have been to this Crust Pizza well over a dozen times since they opened and have been going to The Woodlands locations for years. The food is always good, well prepared, and the service is fast and friendly. This time we arrived before the crowd started and ordered one pizza and two salads for dine in. Typically the salads come to the table within a few minutes with the pizza taking a little longer so we have time to enjoy the salad. Not this time. We waited over 15 minutes for the salads yet I saw two salads sitting on the high counter for at least ten minutes. I went up to the counter and asked about our salads and was told (possibly the manager) "Oh yeah, they'll be right out" then she turned and walked away. I also noticed there was a pizza just like we ordered sitting there next to the salads. Sure enough, as I expected, about five minutes later the two salads and pizza were all delivered at the same time. Something I would expect at McDonalds. The salads were great but the pizza was slightly above room temp. After a few bites of salad the pizza had already cooled off and by the time we were able to enjoy it the cheese was already cold and hard. The part that really got to us was at the end when we were finishing she came around to our table and asked how it was and we questioned her about the delivery all at once and if things had changed because the pizza had cooled off by the time we got to it. No apology, nothing, she immediately threw the kitchen under the bus by saying sometimes they're busy and get the timing off. Ok, when saying the pizza was cold, her reply was a question asking if we ate our salads first. Oh, so it's our fault the pizza's cold. We've never had experienced this before and hope it won't happed again. As a side note we did see other tables get salads and main courses delivered at the same time like we did. Timing and good service is the main reason we go out to eat and this was not a good time. A one time slip on timing is one thing but don't blame the customer and workers when something isn't right. read more

This is a great little pizza place. Very clean and attractive on the inside with a nice patio outside. Their Caesar salad is really, really good. That's what we started with and yum! The dressing was perfect. My husband had the Don's pizza and there were no survivors! In his defense, it was a small. I got the margherita pizza and it was definitely fresh and light. I just wish it had had a tiny bit more flavor. But, overall, it's definitely worth a visit if you haven't been! read more
