It was a challenge to find a one stop shop, but Roberto's team stepped up to that challenge and did a great job. The scope of the Project: 1) increase our patio deck stairs' landing area by 35% making it safer for those exiting and entering our rear patio. 2) demolition of the existing cedar deck materials to be replaced by Trex composite requiring little to no maintenance moving forward 3) frame out the new patio landing and stairs, adding 2 additional stairs to make the overall patio stairs solution safer 4) remove and redirect our gutter downspout so that it was not in the way of the newly installed patio stairs 5) modify the steel railing on the old stairs to accommodate the larger footprint of the new landing and additional stairs They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, so I'll let the following "before" and "after" pictures speak for themselves

Back in Oct, William was abled to hand-pull all the weeds in my backyard and mow my lawn in preparation for the winter. He had made sure there's no grass clippings leftover as I was allergic to Bermuda grass so his service was helpful for my health. Initially, did an amazing job and was going to be my go-to lawn guy once the grass is growing again the Spring. Recently for the Spring, I asked him for the same service, weed removal (expecting hand-pulled like last time), lawn mowing, and pre-emergent weed treatments. Total cost was $170 but I gave him $200 especially for gas prices and he had to go pick up supplies. Well, he weed whacked everything instead and it splatter all over the white painted sidings of the new house. He offered to pressure wash and clean the sidings from the mess he created. He also offered to put down additional weed treatment to help control the weeds. He was late for the original Spring service (after I asked him to push the service an hour later). He was a no-show on Saturday to cleaning up weed clippings splattered over the sidings. I had to call him multiple times and he said his customer unexpectedly requested mulch installation and said he can come by at 8am on Sunday. Today, He was a no-show today. I had to call him and he woke up at 10am. He was still a no show after multiple calls. Very disappointed. I wasted almost half my day waiting. Lots of excuses. I understand life happens but lack of communication and method of weed removal was the final straw. Off to continue to find my go-to lawn service person. Initial service in Oct 2025 was 5/5. Follow-up Mar 2026 service 2/5. Do not recommend.

We had Sullivan's at our first house in 2018 and they were fine. So, when we moved into our new…read morehouse last year, we hired them again. Since I work from home and my office looks out onto our front yard I can see when the crew comes. They're supposed to do the front and back yard. I noticed a few weeks ago they did the front and took off. So I called Sullivan's to complain. They apologized and sent the team back out a few hours later. Last Wednesday they came (the next time after the issue a few weeks ago) and once again did only the front yard then left. I called the company again to complain. They remembered the last incident and I was told a manager would be informed and someone would call me back. Here we are a week later and still no communication. In my opinion this is akin to stealing. I paid for the whole yard to be done but only a half job was completed. I have no idea how many times this has happened and I didn't notice, but I suspect quite often. The worst part, though, is that management never bothered to call me back or remedy the situation. That's terrible customer service. So, today I called them to discontinue their services. The person who answered recognized me. She made NO mention of my complaint and didn't ask why I was letting them go. It's clear there was absolutely no intention to provide us the service we paid for nor even acknowledge the situation. So, they're fired.

This doesn't cause any issues for them. I had one issue a few months ago regarding weeds but the customer service department for Top Choice is Top Notch ;) They called me back immediately, apologized, corrected the problem and reimbursed me for the visit. They are always very responsive to emails and text and are quick to make adjustments if I need them. I highly recommend!

The last straw was when they blew all of the pollen from our yard into our neighbors...so embarrassing. Of course, they denied it. This really upset our neighbor and rightfully so. Yesterday, they came to clean the yard and left branches in the front yard. I picked them up and placed them neatly, so they would not even have to do that. Just so that they could be sadly found where I left them. Then they asked if I could check the cameras...because they swear they cleaned everything in the front yard. I placed the branches there myself and refuse to be lied to. You will be communicating with their son, who will let you know when they will be coming to service your yard. He texts "Hey, we are cleaning your yard." I have often paid extra to be a good citizen and show appreciation. After they made my neighbors upset at us and then left the front yard with all the branches, I fired them.

I felt it was important I updated my review as a lot has happened to the deck in the 3 years since…read morethey put it in. Though the deck looked good initially in just 3 years it is rotting away and we just now realized to what extent. It got in such a bad state we decided to have someone redo the whole deck. When they took off the top boards the frame itself had half rotted away (including the whole frame for the steps) and we realized it could have caved under us at any time. In the attached picture you will see the current state of the frame. Half of it has rotted away. We initially used them because they were the best price and they did work fast and were flexible to our requests. However, the tradeoff seems to be they used poor material. It was either not pressure treated or leftover material they got from a building being constructed that isn't meant to be used for a deck. I can't confirm but regardless proper material shouldn't rot like this in just 3 years. I write this to warn you to make sure they are not skimping on the materials as this can become a safety hazard.
