Get Cold, Not Old. This is Cryonation's saying & I agree. I have inflammation & recently came back from vacation with a sunburn. I wanted to heal my sunburn and see how this cryotherapy works on inflammation. (By the way, my sunburn has healed so QUICKLY) When I first arrived the staff greeted me and were very friendly. You sign in on the tablet and fill out a few things as well. The owner then walked me through the process and it was short and simple. I then was able to quickly start my first cryo-therapy session. You were gloves socks and slippers. You then step in to the chamber and ring the doorbell once you're in so they know you're ready. One of the staff members comes in and you begin your three minute cryotherapy. They talk through the three minutes and at any point if you feel uncomfortable all you have to do is let them know. My three minutes went by so fast & afterwords I was able to get a breakdown of what else Cryonation offers. The initial session also came with a decompression table session, where you lay on a table and your back is gently rolled. It feels so good & elongates your spine. I also purchased the alkaline water and I am able to bring it back for a refill. I really enjoy coming here and getting my cryotherapy! I really enjoy how fast and easy it is to come in and get your cryo-therapy, no appointment needed, and you feel good after! Highly recommend! read more

I can't think of a single reason to give these guys anything less than 5 stars. The front desk staff is friendly, Josh the owner is extremely welcoming, and most of the people going there are friendly and quick with a smile. Go try it for a discount on your first visit. Mine was $15 or so. After the staff gives you a tour, they'll take you to the private rooms where you do your 3 minute drill in the cold. Like the reviews state, the staff keeps you talking so you don't feel much. Just remember to wear socks and gloves. I forgot to wear my gloves and couldn't feel my fingers for a couple hours. It wasn't that bad tho, as it was my fault and not anybody else's. The 3 minutes went by quickly, and before you know it I was getting dressed and on my way home. Before I become a regular tho, I want scientific research that backs up the so-called benefits of this. If anyone can find articles or research please send it! Really cool concept though! read more

I'm visiting out of state for a work training and have been having a lot of stiff muscles and the massage place I went to didn't really get all the knots out. I discovered this place on Yelp and figured I don't have this in my home state so why not check it out? I was greeted by Josh at the front desk and he took the time to explain how everything works. He was super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. I signed up for the first session to check it out and he explained in great detail what to expect. Now when it started, I thought to myself "I'm originally from Chicago, I can handle cold". Boy was I wrong lol. I didn't factor in that during winters I'm bundled in winter clothes. Here it's underwear and nearly - 300 degrees lol. The cool thing is he stayed with me during the entire 3 minutes talking to me as my teeth were chattering and probably not speaking proper words cause I was so cold lol. It did make the 3 minutes pass by much faster.. Or at least as fast as 3 minutes in - 200+ degrees can be! Afterwards you Surpringly heat back up very quickly, within a minute I warmed up and felt a lot looser. On my way out he was chatting about the B12 shot and figured it can't hurt and was fairly cheap. I tried it and felt a lot more energetic as the day went on. Not sure if it was cause of the Cryo or the shot or both but it worked! Wound up buying a 3 pack and can't wait to go back! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about cryotherapy and Cryonation. I have tried numerous methods to get rid of cellulite and nothing worked. I hadn't cryo'd in over a year and was looking for a nearby spot to help relieve soreness from working out. I googled a couple places for drop in rates and Cryo Nation was the cheapest in the area by at least $10. They charged $15 for the first session visit and it included a tour, a Cryo session, and 10 minutes on the back decompressor. I even got to try out the oxygen bar while waiting for the compressor. They offer alkaline water in a nice glass jug for a bit extra. The facilities were nice, clean, and the staff was very professional and friendly. If it were a bit closer, I'd be a regular! read more

Cryo Therapy - the next fad? Who knows! I got a groupon for a session and tried it out. Let's start with the ambiance. AMAZING. The facility is really nice and modern, the staff is welcoming and helpful. The procedure: Very interesting and different. They walk you through what to do: strip down, put on a pair of socks, slippers and gloves (all provided). Step into the machine (your head will not be in the machine for those that are claustrophobic). You ring the bell for an employee to come in..they turn the machine on and talk to you the whole time so you don't stand there freezing and staring at the clock like you're dying. You're not dying. You stand there for 3 mins...and basically freeze..it's not painful at all. Once that 3 mins is up, you dress and go lay on a machine that basically massages your back for 10 mins. Then you're done and are told to drink lots of water. I don't know if it worked, I did sleep well which is one of the 'side effects.' I don't know if this is something you'd need to do on a regular basis to feel the effects but it wasn't a bad experience and I cannot say I wouldn't do it again. I don't know if cryotherapy works. I like trying alternative methods to a healthier life. So when I found it on Groupon for $17, I thought why not? Went in, the place was really nice. Almost too nice tbh. The receptionist was friendly enough. But Josh, the owner was really sweet. It was a walk-through session and I was taken care of within a matter of minutes. I went in and out in about 15 mins or so. After being greeted, I was asked to fill out a consent form, and I was ready to go. Josh explained the workings of cryo and how it would confuse the body into thinking you are feeling cold in order for your immune system to kick-up when in actuality, only your skin surface gets cold and your inner body temperature remains fairly stable. I bought into it. The actual therapy lasts for 2-3 minutes in which you stand shoulder-deep into a cylinder and are bombarded with cold dry air. I must admit I felt pretty pumped up and refreshed after the cryo, but it could very well be a placebo. I was told, you need 2 sessions/week for the first month and 1 session/week or 2/month thereafter to experience remarkable difference. I might give it a shot later. I will post my update then. But for now, I had a new experience that felt good and I paid mere $17. So I'm happy. :) read more

Facility is clean.. Music is awesome... Staff is friendly and knowledgable. I did my first session yesterday... Although I am not a fan of being freezing cold.. the benefits of once you get out of the machine was AMAZING! I have had swollen ankles and a lot of pain in them due to preparing for an NPC show and doing hard cardio 7 days a week... and extreme muscle soreness from lifting weights... and prior to getting in this cryo machine I was miserable. The inflammation in both ankles is gone as well as the pain. I can tell my muscle recovery time has improved and not to mention... who complains about burning up to 1000 calories in 3 minutes?
