This was my first experience at a salt room. So I didn't know exactly what to expect. When I…read morearrived I was checked in and taken to the dressing room where I could change into a robe that was provided along with slippers. The slippers were required but the robe was optional. I was also offered a beverage and I selected champagne. From there I was taken to the "salt room" where I was able to select a seat from two of the remaining of four chairs in the room. There were two other guests already in the room and we would participate in the salt room experience at the same time. The ladies were both pleasant and one was a frequent visitor and shared how the salt room has helped her asthma. I was excited to hear this as someone that also deals with respiratory issues. From there the attendant began pumping the salt and magnesium into the room by starting a machine. The first blast of the machine coming on I felt little particles of salt in my throat which made me cough. After a few minutes, this smoothed out and the experience was quite relaxing with soft music playing the background. The floors are covered with salt and I believe the tiles on the wall are also made of salt. The experience lasted between 45-60 minutes. Once we were done the attendant came back and invited us one by one to the dressing room to change clothes. I did notice improved breathing after a day that lasted for several weeks if not longer. I certainly will return.

I really pampered myself and went here this afternoon and experienced a nice 45 min relaxation in…read morethe salt spa. It was so peaceful to just put the phone on silent and enjoy the peace and quiet. They did say you will see salt particles in the air and you may get a runny nose and sore throat that does go away the next day. I didn't experience either which is nice. My lips tasted salty from it. But other than that it was definitely a different experience. I think I enjoy the salt pool spas better but that's just me. Just because it's very warm water not to say it was cold in the room I was in. The salt soak spas seem to replay help with sore muscles a lot. I also tried the infra red sauna which was very warm and you definitely sweat. They adjust the temperature to whatever you can handle. I only had it at 140 degrees, because I am a wimp. Lol In the beginning it seemed to work when I first got into the sauna however then it shut off and it needed to get rebooted. However the infra red on the walls never came back on the only infra red lights that were two small ones on the ceiling so I was disappointed in that part of it. Not sure how two small infra red lights can really help when the sauna is pretty bright due to having a clear glass door. However the lady that was running it was very nice and sweet with explaining everything to me. Make sure you bring something to wear like a bathing suit or something. But they do provide you with a robe and sleepers. They also have a little shop of many different interesting products to buy along with clothing. Not sure if I will come back just because I am not sure what the benefits were for breathing in the salt vapors compared to a salt soak spa. Everything is so clean there and very organized. It's definitely worth giving it a try. I heard there are three of them here in Michigan so far. It is cheaper on your first visit.
