I contacted Crystal carpet cleaning after reading on their website they could provide cleaning to the carpet for three areas at $249. I've personally owned home for 24 years, all with carpet. I've owned this particular home for 10 years and have had this carpet cleaned prior, with no problems I importantly point out. I have spot cleaned here and there when we spill, pets, etc. But there was no discoloration to the carpet prior to their arrival. Just dirty carpet haha. The technician did have a good customer service. However, I would never use this company again because after their cleaning process, they said due to my "spot cleaning" (isn't that a pretty normal thing??) there was now permanent discoloration. So part of my brown carpet areas are now a pinkish color. I called a couple days after their service was complete obviously not fully understanding the carpet discoloration from their "cleaning" was now permanent. The owner son Chad did call me right away and the technician Adam (and again they do have good customer service) but why would I (or anyone) use a carpet cleaning company that cleans the carpet and leaves behind permanent discoloration from previously spot cleaned areas? Doesn't everyone spot clean their carpet? I never had another company do this before, in 24 years. I feel like they should be VERY upfront and state BEFORE they start cleaning that if your carpet has EVER been spot cleaned their cleaning process could be permanently discolor the carpet. Umm I'd rather have dirty carpet or use another company! Why would anyone use this cleaning process? I'm kicking myself that I did not go with ChemDry like I usually do. We've used Crystal Carpet a few times and they have always provided excellent service at a reasonable cost. Most recently we had some sticky adhesive residue from a carpet protection painters put down, and they came twice to get it out, the first time trying just steam (which helped but didn't fully work) and the second time using citric acid before it fully came out. I called to get my sofa cleaned. Clearly they were profiling me because once I said my house was in Renton, they said it was too far south. I live in kennydale which is 3.7 miles away from their location. Either you have to be under 3 miles away to be serviced from their south Bellevue location or they just wanted to say no to me because it was a Renton address. Mind you I tried to tell her, "I'm practically in Newcastle". Look at their location and where Newcastle is. They didn't want to hear it. WOW! Totally blown away by the impeccable job Adam V. did today. He was incredibly professional, courteous, and thorough. We had a lot of questions and he was great at answering all of them. Our cat had a few accidents here and there in a couple rooms (and on one part of our sectional) and Adam was able to work his magic and got those stains out. John asked me some questions to get a better idea on our needs. He asked how big our house is, what material is our carpet, do we have pets, any spots that need special attention in order to give me a more accurate estimate on price and time required. Last Saturday, John came to our house to clean two rooms and a special treatment on one spot that we spilled red nail polish (1' x 1.5') about a year ago! The whole cleaning process took about less than 2 hours. He set up corner protection before he brought the vacuum and hose into the house. When he tried to clean the nail polish, he was very dedicated and used different ways to clean the spot, it took him a while but at the end he succeeded!!! When I sent a request here at Yelp, I think I got a reply back from John the same day. John is an incredible professional in his field. The gentleman who came to clean our carpet on our appointment was Adam. He is equally another expert in the field. We needed our 2nd floor all carpet areas cleaned, including one room with lots of dog pee stains. Adam took time to explain to me how he would manage the job and gave me an education on those stains. He also told me they only charge by measuring the common areas, not based on the square footage of the place since we have all the furniture on site.
