I was a "walk-in" yesterday and Tony (the owner) did a BEAUTIFUL job on my nails and toes! He was calm and friendly. He has been in business for over 25 years and for a Wednesday afternoon, the salon was busy! (Always a good sign.) I got a manicure with gel polish and a 'polish change' on my toes. I've had gel polish before but it NEVER felt like this! My nails look and feel like a million bucks. Thanks Tony. See you soon :) (I could only give four stars because there was a dissatisfied customer and the technician who was working on her kept arguing with the (older) lady. As the owner I feel Tony should have at least told the young nail tech to be quiet. Their bickering was distracting and took away from a relaxing experience. Love, love, love this place. Mimi is the eyebrow and eyelash guru! There's magic in those hands. People will wait forever to get touched by these hands. The pedicures are good. They have a large selection of colors to choose from. Parking is horrible. If you can walk here or catch an Uber you should do so. read more

Mimi has been doing my eyebrows for over 10 years. She's the ONLY person I let touch my eyebrows. She listens to what you want and she's always consistent. If you're a real regular here, you'll know that everyone getting their eyerbows done always asks for her! She knows dam near everyone that comes in to see her too! Gotta love her! read more

I have been coming to Crystal Nail Salon for a couple of years now to have Mimi wax my eyebrows. I'm a person who likes exactness and perfection when it comes to my eyebrows and Mimi has ALWAYS delivered. Some places I've gone to tend to take off pieces of your eyebrows then try to cover it up with eyebrow pencil. When you wash off the pencil you find out that half of your eyebrow is missing. read more

I only go here for eye brows. They do a really good job. Yes almost ALL of the employees there are rude, but what do expect ? Look at where theyre located. They probably feel like they have to be that way with the area theyre in. They talk crazy to the customers & never go there on fridays and saturdays.. I always end up waiting for at least 30 minutes to an hour. The customers they attract are usually loud and ghetto. This was by far my worst experience at a nail shop. I called the shop at 10:35am to schedule an appointment with Tony for 5pm. The woman I spoke to said I needed to book for an earlier time because of the shop is slow Tony will leave early for the day. I told her I understood and asked for a 12:00pm appointment instead. I arrive at 12:01pm and let the man at the front know that I had a 12:00pm appointment. He stated and I quote "Well I don't know anything about that, no one told me so you have to wait an hour" I show him my call log and he says well o well you can wait or leave.... I went to Crystal Nails to get my eyelashes done, I must say I was very please with the outcome. Its not an upscale salon, it is was it is nevertheless I was please with my eyelashes and would go back again. I love this place, I have been going her for years. Eric takes care of my nails and feet and Mimi hooks up my eyebrows. You cant be the price for the quality of work they do. Keep in mind, location, location, location, they are always full Monday's are the best day to go and the favorites are not always there on Tuesday. Once you go you will love what you get. read more

I have been going to Crystal Nails since High School 2003-04. I have not been in like 3years for a pedi or mani but i go occasionally for eyebrows and MiMi is the only one i let do them. Aug 25, 2014 i went in to get all that done for my bday. I just took my polish off like 2 weeks ago and noticed half my toenail had turned yellow/white underneath. I love my feet and always have taken good care of them. This ONE time i go and this happens. I went in and brought it to Their attention and they "Claim" it is nothing and laughed about it! And began talking in their language of course. I went to the doctor TODAY 10/13/14 and it is a FUNGAL INFECTION from they nasty ass tubs and utensils they don't sterilize properly!! I am distraught about this whole situation because now i have to do a 8-12MONTH TREATMENT... I will NEVER go their or any other Nail shop again not even for eyebrow... Be AWARE...! read more

This shop is the best in eyelash and eyebrows!! I heart Mimi! Even though it seems like she's rude, she's really a cool chick with a sense of humor. Yeah the wait sucks in the back room but once she calls you to the chair you'll recieve the best work out of any shop in East Oakland. To quote Mimi, "Eff the haters!". I think this place is awesome. The first day I went there, they made sure I was happy with everything I got. From my pedi that I am very picky about to my nails (natural) that they have growing strong as ever. "Mama" messages me the best, and Mimi my all time favorite alsways makes me feel special. And she sure knows how to hold great conversation for the 30 minute wait for your eye brows. But must I say no one has ever made my eye brows look as FAB as Mimi. As other reviews say, the majority of the customers are A.A but so what, everytime Im in there I see a wide variety of other ethnicities. Crystals Nails...Were do I begin.? smh. well let me start with that I am 31 years old and have been going to this nail shop for 11years. For nails, pedi and lashes. There has been this same woman named Mimi doing lashes there for years, I believe that she is rude and un friendly and she plays favoritism she only likes u or talks to you if SHE thinks u look cute on that particular day. Tony & Cindy are the owners Husband and Wife-i am still surprised this name shop is still standing..as you get older and wiser you want to spend your hard eared money at a quality place were u can relax and pay nice friendly people who do a good job..They act like they dont need your money or you to even COME back to there shop!!These nail shop owners act like they can deal with our with out you. They dont care about there customers at alll..and it shows. The majority of the costmers are African American Woman...and we as people should stop patronzing rude people like this. I have since experienced better quality shops around the bay area-were i feel i want to spend my money. Workers at Crystals nails attitidues SUCK..they dont give a damn about you.
