Our favorite breakfast place in Rehoboth. We typically go off season to avoid the crowds. Food is great and service is fast.

always nice service and good food but the flies are a problem. Everywhere. Also, the bathroom is gross -- dirty and look up folks - the vent is filled with dust and junk. God knows what cleaning procedures they have in the kitchen if they can't even get the bathroom clean. NOT my choice to eat here, ever. A friend really likes the place. read more

I used to have a Salon on Baltimore Ave. haven't been to this place in about 10 years. Let me tell you, I REMEMBER IT! I am sure that prices have increased since I was there, but I am sure that it is still a bargain for the high prices in town. It always was. Also, the freshest ingredients. I used to be at the beach almost every weekend, all summer. Crystal was one of my favorite places to eat, especially at breakfast! Yeah, it could get crowded and noisy; it's a little close for comfort. As I food coinsure, THIS is a GREAT place to eat! I WISH that I could be there! I have NEVER had a bad meal there, and I have eaten there, probably 50 times! GO! Right now! GO! I'm a fan for life. read more

Yelpers.....you have let us down :( the ONLY reason we chose this restaurant for breakfast was because of all the great reviews. One of the absolute WORST restaurants we have ever been to. #1 completely unorganized. The lack of a waiting area is horrible. You feel like your always in the way and hovering over top of people waiting for their food. Move your entrance to a place with more room. #2 - EVERYTHING cost money. There is no "meal" with potatoes and meat. Meat cost extra, hash browns cost extra... $1.75 for spinach in an omelet....are you serious?!?!?!? #3- and the most important....the FOOD. Completely TASTELESS. Worst breakfast I've ever had. I don't even think they cook with salt and pepper. The "hash browns" were disgusting. Tasted like NOTHING. even salt and ketchup couldn't make them edible. The pancakes were next to impossible to cut, they were so chewy. With all the fresh bowls of blueberries floating around you would think the "blueberry pancakes" would be made with fresh blueberries... but nope they were frozen gritty NOT fresh blueberries. The spinach omelet was tasteless. If your food is going to be so bad at least have a good hot sauce to offset the terrible food...Tabasco sauce is not a good hot sauce. I'm not sure if people just don't know what good food is anymore or what but I cannot believe some of the reviews that this place got. I would never recommend this restaurant to ANYONE. read more

Second time I've eaten here. I remembered that they had a really great fresh fruit platter for breakfast, but the second time it was not listed on the menu; however, you can't go wrong. There are monster omelettes, waffles, pancakes, french toast, and all the accoutrements. The hot coffee just keeps on coming and servings are generous. You can order a side of blueberries or strawberries, if they are in season. Great for breakfast--always a wait--but they are open for lunch and dinner (in season) too. I haven't been there for anything but breakfast. read more

As good as any for breakfast. The sausage was delicious, the blueberry pancakes were good. We found this place by accident at Christmas when most places were closed. We're back for more and will do so whenever we're in Rehoboth. read more

This is the spot for breakfast! This is a great place for breakfast or brunch. It knows it's a nice cheap and cheerful place and embraces it. When I come here I almost always get the Eggs Benedict. It is very nice, the home fries are what home fries should be. They even make great hollandaise. My friends had a loaded omelets. The meats on the sides were all as good as could be. This seemed to be one of the better rated breakfast spots in the Rehoboth area so we decided to give it a try. Overall, it was nothing special, just solid breakfast fare. The pancakes were decent and the bacon was good. Service was so-so and the prices were a little expensive for the quality. The parking lot in the back was convenient. Luckily we got there around 10 AM, right before the Sunday brunch rush. By the time we left there was probably a 30 minute wait for tables.... so get there early! read more

Best breakfast spot; locals breakfast spot. Good menu and food is consistently good. Always have a good special running. Never have I had a bad meal. Staff is the same year after year, and everyone is always so nice. Stop here for breakfast, lunch, or even brunch, and I promise you will be happy. read more

I have no idea why there is always a line here. Totally ordinary, unimpressive breakfast fare. They couldn't even get pancakes and sausage out at the same time. Pancakes were leaden and had previous few berries. Home fries with barely fried onions were so onion heavy they bordered on inedible. With so many good choices in town, I'll never go back here. read more

We ate here this past weekend and were told to expect a diner-like experience which is exactly what it was. The food was good and they give you large portions so we definitely didn't leave hungry. Our service was great including crayons and a coloring book for our toddler son plus lots of coffee refills. We always eat here for breakfast every time we visit Rehoboth. Never had a bad meal here ever. The wait staff is very nice and fast. Even when there is a line outside to get in, you can count on getting your food in a reasonable time. For breakfast, the eggs Benedict or the build your own four egg omelet has never failed me. The traditional greasy spoon of the beach restaurants. Homey atmosphere. Not the best food around, but better than the IHOP or Cracker Barrel. Family style home cooking. Prices are okay to start but the service was lousy and you have to pay extra for everything. Our waiter was horrible, didn't offer to refill our coffee one time. The French Toast was poorly done, no powered sugar or cinnamon. Just a few pieces of bread dipped in the egg mixture and dumped on a plate. We had excellent service on a Sunday morning. We were seated quickly and served coffee immediately. The business is family owned and diner style eggs and bacon was delicious. We liked that it was inexpensive and laid back. They even offered coffee in to go cups. read more

The Crystal Diner is exactly what is seem. The portions are hearty, the omelets were well made and they did not skimp on the bacon and sausage. This is no fine dining, but its excellent value for its money, if you are in the mood for a casual eatery. read more

Delicious food and excellent service. We have been eating at Crystal's for 15 years. Everything is home made and fresh. You will not be disappointed. We eat breakfast or lunch there almost everyday. This is where the locals go. It's not quiet so be prepared to yell just to hear your table mate. I got eggs, sausage, hash browns and toast. Rated 10 out of 10! We found this gem by searching around the area nearby (rehoboth / dewey) for some good ol' breakfast and was blown by the quality of service we received. Not only that, the prices were very affordable and the serving size was more than enough for 1 to 2 people. Highly recommend the Crab Cake Benedict! Their steak was cooked to perfection. Most places would put shredded crab meat but not this place! I don't think we've ever seen that much chunks of fresh delicious crab meat in a plate :) VERY HAPPY AND SATISFIED customer. We highly recommend this place if you're looking for an appetizing breakfast that will suit your wallet and leave happy for receiving a quality service. Keep it up CRYSTAL RESTAURANT! Great food in an unassuming building. I've been past this place thousands of times, finally stopped in this morning. Food was delicious, building is very cool looking on the inside. We stayed within walking distance to the Crystal Diner and ate there frequently. The food was good, consistent, and typical diner fare. Each time we went there, the service was good and the staff seemed eager to please. On one occasion, we went with our 4 and 2 year old daughters. As soon as we sat down, the hostess placed a few coloring books and a bucket of crayons in front of my older daughter. Perfect entertainment. They were very patient with my kids and looked the other way when my older daughter decided to make a meal of the jam and half and half packets. Overall a very pleasurable experience. read more
